I called and they told me to come in so they can see them once I arrived the owner checked my nails and told me it was my cuticle not the nail smh. I told her to look again because how is it going to be cuticle if the nails are lifting and having air pockets. She said they will fix it but then proceeded to tell me I needed a manicure like ma'am what??? I just got my nails done don't you think you would removed excess cuticle BEFORE applying a full set, she told me that was an extra charge smh. I will not be a returning customer. I have been to nearly nail salon on Woodruff Rd it feels like. I had been to Lucio nails about 2 years ago but it wasn't impressive enough to return. Someone told me to try again if it wasn't a busy time of the day. I can't say how awful my experience was. Two manicurists were sitting in the pedicure chairs when I arrived. The male one started removing my old dip nails and then left to do an entire pedicure. When I asked if it would be much longer, the female manicurist started yelling at me. Seriously. Then when the man did return, he proceeded to tell me not to rush him and that my last set of nails were so bad they needed to sit longer. Well this is what he left me with. The nail tech rushed through my gel manicure, leaving the gel unset. Exactly one week later and my "gel" manicure is completely chipped and pulling away from the nails beds - forcing me to run to another salon for a redo. I came to Lucio Nails on a Saturday afternoon with a group of seven, six women and one man in search of pretty nails and a little pampering. We were all in Greenville for a wedding that evening, and I'd brought open-toed shoes and gross bare toenails. We called ahead and were able to get appointments for all seven of us, though we had to go in a couple waves as there weren't seven people on staff. Parking was plentiful, and the place was pleasant, calm and clean. We occupied almost all the pedicure chairs, which were very nice, with warm foot baths and electronic massagers. We were also treated to complimentary drinks--there was a small menu that even included alcohol (though I will say this was the proudest display of the Franzia brand I've ever seen listed on a menu). I got a bottle of water. Julie did my nails, and she did a wonderful job. The pedicure was thorough, and it included plenty of lotion and a mini hot stone massage. (I wasn't sure if there was a more basic option for less money--it was never offered, and I just paid my $40 plus tip without bringing it up. More money than I meant to spend, but can't say it wasn't worth it.) The manicure was also great--my cuticles were fucked up, and Julie did a great job making my hands look like normal people's hands. I got glittery paint on both my fingers and toes. The selection was so extensive, it was hard to choose my colors. I banged up one of my fingernails almost immediately, and Julie fixed it up without a hitch. The paint jobs lasted long after the wedding--in fact, I've only scraped the paint off four of my toenails, so six are still 70% painted in sparkly gunmetal gray. If you're looking to get your nails done in Greenville, I'd highly recommend Lucio Nails. They did well by all seven of us--our fingers and toes looked hot as hell at that wedding. read more

What can I say about this place except yes Yes YES!! Julie is amazing, not only as a person but in her work and attention to detail. I have never been one to get regular manicures, mostly due to hating every single experience I've ever had save for the rare exception. But Julie helped me with damage another local "salon" did to my nails and she recommended a game plan to make them fully healthy. The shop is extremely clean and there's no over-powering smell of acrylic when you walk in the door. Simply put, a relaxing environment that's welcoming and knowledgeable. 12/21/2016 - I'm updating my review today to continue to praise Julie for her level of professionalism and the quality of her work. Today was my third time seeing her and she has not failed me yet! My nails are looking amazing and after damage from a local salon I am proud to say that they are back in action! As a note, when I got on here to further add to my review, I read a review from someone saying Julie wouldn't work on her nail repair. I have to think Julie wouldn't do the repair because having only three nails done by her isn't a great way to show her work.... Partially done isn't a good representation and if the individual understood that they would know they weren't in a half-a$$ salon. Just saying. I needed a place that does SNS - stumbled upon this place and their ratings were pretty good. As I entered, I received a dry "hello, what do you need". I immediately thought they did not want to do my nails. There was only 3 people in there doing nails and they had 4 guest (nails) 2 guest (pedicure) who were already being serviced- no one in waiting area. Needless to say I waited 1 hr to be serviced ( my fault for waiting, but I really needed my nails done and it was later in the day Saturday). Once serviced, the customer service improved. I got my nails done here last week (07/01) and I wasn't really impressed. The entire time I was there me and another customer were split between one of the nail technician. And then when she was doing my nails another customer came in and simply asked how long the wait was. The nail technician talked to her but when she came back to me she was shit talking about the lady. Saying how annoying it is when people ask that because she isn't a clock. I felt that my dip manicure was rushed and I noticed some errors but nothing I couldn't get over. And a week later my manicure is chipping pretty bad. When she did my dip, since she rushed, she got some of the powder on my skin towards the base of my nail, so it really didn't stick to my nail causing it to become loose within a couple days. Eventually those places started to chip and now other places are. It looked good at first but didn't last and for what you pay, this stuff should last. Highly doubt I'll be back. read more

Well I got my nails done today. I've been shopping for a nail salon as I'm new to Greenville, and I decided to try out Lucio Nails this time as the other places fell very short. Julie was an absolute pleasure. She did my pedicure and fill-in, and took her time fixing the jacked-up mess of a full set that the last place did. Going in they were very thick and clumsy, coming out I can only tell they're fake because I was there when she put them on. She did a lovely silver tip with a red stripe for Christmas, and did a clear coat with the gel polish instead of regular polish since I'd told her I work in the food industry and gel doesn't chip so I wouldn't have to worry about it chipping or getting messed up at work! If I could give her ten stars I would. Best part of my experience? I found my new permanent salon. ***UPDATE*** I just went for a fill-in, and Julie delivered again. I'd had to go to a different salon for my last fill in, as I was out of town, but Julie once again fixed my nails perfectly, just the way I wanted them. She's always an absolute treasure. My nails had my hands in pain doing basic things and were not shaped properly nor was the design I requested done. Julie was inside Lucio Nails when I entered. She immediately helped me. I had heard some positive about this salon so last week I thought I'd give it a try for a pedi and nail dip. Pedi was fine but I go to relax, listen to music, daydream, whatever but the woman, Julie, would not stop talking! Combine her accent, the plexiglass between us, and the music I could only understand every three words she said the nail dip was another story. I've had dips for quite awhile and I felt she wasn't doing it correctly. I was right, three days later it started chipping off. I've NEVER had that happen before. It's so bad that the minute my former salon opens tomorrow I'll be there getting my nails fixed correctly. AND it was $20 more than my usual salon. What a waste! PS. Went here while in the area for a day. While my technician was very nice, they are unfortunately inexperienced at sns manicures. Very few colors to choose from, my nails were oddly shaped (not filed on the sides to shape up), they were also very, very thick. Too many layers. I went home and spent two hours filing the base to get a normal shape but couldn't reduce the thickness. Ended up painting over because the color they recommended was more purple than white. Today, I went to my regular tech and my fingers sat in acetone for 45 mins and she still had a VERY difficult time removing the dip powder they put on my nails. Had to use a file and drill to remove which is highly discouraged. The techs here seemed overworked too, made me sad! read more
