They responded as soon as I texted them AND were flexible in changing the day and time at the very last minute, despite being fully booked for the following 8 days. We also thought we were missing something (not the case) after they left and they answered the phone right away. They showed up on time with a massive truck and all the materials required to protect our stuff. They made 3 stops for us (including a top locker storage space and a 5th floor walk up) without any extra charge. Very friendly. VERY fast. I've moved 20+ times in my 14 years in NYC and NEVER seen two men get the job done that fast. They finished in under 3 hours! I really can't say enough about how kind, calm, efficient, and careful the 3 men from Lucida Movers (Winzor, Horatio, and Rob) were. We gave Lucida pretty short notice, but they worked hard to accommodate us and we're lucky they were able to fit us in. They arrived 10 minutes before our already early start time, and moved everything out of my apartment super quickly. We moved a large couch out of a very tricky entryway, and these guys tried EVERYTHING to get it out--they were so persistent, and Horatio and Winzor got it out successfully! Everything was moved into the new place in what felt like 15 minutes (it actually might have been 15 minutes), and not a thing was broken. I HIGHLY recommend Lucida Movers! Windzor and his crew were awesome! They moved me out of a 5th floor walk up like no big deal. Three guys, all super friendly and professional. Even when it started pouring in the middle of the move, they rolled with it. When my kitchen table was too big to fit through the doorway, they dismantled it and reassembled in the new place without a scratch on it. I was searching for professional movers last minute this was a first time experience for me and these guys did such a wonderful job. Recently used Lucida to move from a Greenpoint walkup building to an elevator building in Washington Heights. They arrived right in the middle of the estimated arrival window given when I booked the move. They were very quiet and careful in the hallways during the move-out. They ended up getting to my new building before me and saved me a parking space right in front. My couch didn't fit into the elevator so they - no bullshit - CARRIED IT UP TO THE 16TH FLOOR! I recently left my old apartment of 4 years on a 5th floor walkup and needed assistance. These guys showed up smiling (I have never met movers who smile) they were not only polite but extremely efficient and swift. Towards the last few boxes, he was carrying boxes with his backpack on full of stuff! I had been worrying for days about this move and all of the what if's, but those fears were quickly allayed when Claude and Danny showed up to help! They were incredibly prompt (to the minute), very kind, and worked their asses off. They brought blankets, dollies, all necessary supplies, and a giant moving truck. They loaded my entire apartment into the truck in 40 minutes without letting me lift a finger, didn't get mad at me when they had to take a detour, and even set my heavy AC into the window at the end. This is a great company to work with. They take all the stress out of moving. Usually the most stressful part about moving for me , is the actual move. I'm actually really impressed with the serviced i got from winzor and his workers my cousin refereed me to the company because she had recently moved gave them a called and got a very good quote after checking around i decided to go with them.
