Bean 'taco' bowl with grilled vegetables.

July 1, 2025 - 2 for lunch after 9 hole at Spring Lake down the street. This is gonna be short and sweet and right to the point..... AWESOME and fantastic lunch!!!! These folks are a gem and after golf I can only say a "diamond in the rough"!!!! (wink) My wife chicken bowl was friggin' stunning and she loved it, and I got the vegetable burrito (in a bowl) that was truly exceptional. Ingredients, preparation, flavoring, cooking - everything was terrific!!!! The service speedy, attentive, and personable. We loved it and recommended them to our family and friends we are visiting. (we lived in the area for 16 years and there was nothing like this till we left in 2021.) PS this is an authentic diner from the 50s and 60s. But it is almost surgical clean and shiny!!! Kitchen, counter, tables etc etc.

Good spot for fresh authentic food. Went with a light lunch and it was delicious! Would come back to try other things. We were seated immediately and they were very patient. I had the best huevos rancheros. Hubby got tacos. If you pay cash, you'll get a discount on certain days and meals.

The food was delicious and fresh. The steak very flavorful. Service was good. The place was not crowded but people came and ate continuously. Good place for a conversation its not loud at all. Have a lemonade its yummy! Enjoy!

Nice little diner we stopped by on a Friday afternoon around 2pm it wasn't very busy. And I like the $10 daily special they have through out the week for a more affordable option. The place is cute, and brightly colored. The parking is kind of tight but it's very welcoming. Once seated we were presented with menus and were asked what we would like to drink. We just got water which were served in small jars. We went trying to decide between the $10 grilled chicken sandwich, the Cubano sandwich or a burrito, we only thought of the burrito as an option after seeing the huge burritos being grilled on the flat top. We thought it would make sense to get a burrito and split it with chips & guac. The server took our order, and we got the chips & guac first. I can tell they make their chips in house. But I think they were fried at a temperature that was too high, the chips were slightly burnt with a dark color, and some parts of the chips were still soft a tortilla. But besides that the guac was pretty good. We had the veggie burrito next. It was huge bursting with vegetables. I like how this burrito was not boring at all. It had way more variety of vegetables than just peppers, tomatoes and beans. Usually the vegetarian option doesn't get lots of love because it's an after thought. But it seemed like this burrito was made with love they pretty much threw in as many vegetables they had. It was very flavorful and satisfying. The cheese melted nicely in it, and I felt good after eating it. I like how they served it with salsa, and a bit of fruit & sour cream. The plates were very cute too. The place felt like it was filled with lots of latin love. Nice place to go to eat. Will definitely come again when I'm in the area.

Great service, affordable and delicious food! I honestly don't know why I don't visit more often!!! It used to be a diner...so it still has a diner feel with comfy booths and a laidback atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!

Food is amazing and the service is very nice everybody in here is very friendly and it's a quaint little diner good for chill vibes with your lady when you want a quick bite to eat definitely coming back again literally no complaints

We were in the area looking at a potential home to purchase and decided to go here for lunch. The service and food were amazing! I have never had roasted pork hash which was delicious and I think they give about a quarter pound of bacon with the breakfast! They also have home made chorizo which was patty style and so original and also delicious! The coffee was so good I bought a bag. Also got a Cuban sandwich to go to have for dinner and it was the best Cuban sandwich I have ever had. We will be returning frequently!

    They sell these adorable glasses!

HIDDEN GEM! This El Salvadoran restaurant is the former Cook Room and has some of the best food I've ever had. It's filling, it's fresh, and it's LOW PRICED! My egg sandwich was delicious. No up charge for avocado or wanting different roll. It was actually so nice. If you're passing along this place on middle country, swing by, the service is fast and very accomadating and the food is insane!

Lucia is a hidden gem for sure! The inside is so cute with an old diner type of feel. The service was great and all the workers were so kind. I loved my banana pancakes. They came with fresh strawberries and blackberries which are always my favorite with breakfast. My friends had the French toast and enjoyed it as well. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out.

Bon G and I were hankering for something different for lunch and we checked Yelp and found Lucia, a place we had passed numerous times finally was open on a day we wanted to go...Thursday-Sunday !! We found the yellow front on Middle Country Road and pulled in to an empty lot..we missed the lunch rush at circa 2pm so we had the place to ourselves. We were greeted by Ernesto, a wonderful representative for this fine restuarant. He answered our questions about the menu and reminded us they were Salvadorian not Columbian so their menu items reflected that. A shout out for their coffee...was custom ground on LI and was terrific..must of had 6 cups! For Appy we shared a Mushroom and Cheese Pupusa and for mains Bon got a Steak Quesadilla and I got The Chicharron, which I enjoyed to the last drop...was Perfecto!! So, 10/10 for service, 10/10 for food and a 5 star review! For dessert we had the Salvadorian Banana Split...was decadent and delish!!! We look forward to returning soon and going for breakfast!

I would have never found this place if it wasn't for my friend looking it up! We saw that the food looked really great and had to come! The service was phenomenal. Our waiter was so on point with everything. It wasn't busy for a Saturday morning, and for not being busy, the parking lot I will warn is very small. I walked in and was hit with a heat wave. They had fans blowing in different directions. I'm not sure if their AC wasn't working or they don't have one period, but nobody seemed surprised. Even when I went to the bathroom, it was so hot and sticky in there. That's the only downfall to this place. I hope it was just that their AC wasn't working because I couldnt come back here in the middle of summer again. Regardless, their food was one of a kind. I would 100% order to go. They know how to cook I can tell you that. It might seem like a diner inside, but the way they serve their food and the appearance is NOT diner-style, and to that I was truly surprised. Their prices weren't bad at all. Definitely decent for what you receive. And they had a great variety on their menu. If you're around the area I suggest checking it out!

The menu says $8 for 2 or $11 for 3... They mean you get either get 2 or 3 pupusas in an order of the same kind, not 2 or 3 varieties for $8 or $11 in an order, make sense? Their Revuelta pupusa was tender and seasoned just so on the filling, their Birria pupusa was SPOT ON! The broth served with them was fantastic! Their chicharron pupusa was again soft with a nice crunchy filling as well. The house made salsa roja is beyond delicious, I wanted to drink the bowl of it that was served with the pupusas! Horchata was one of the best we've had too on LI! It's a bit lackluster for decor and seating but it's clean and the food is fresh and damn delicious!

Sadly i will say that the curtido and salsa de tomate which is the most important side dish of the pupusas, were both tasteless, no salt. The curtido had no carrots or onions, no oregano, plus to make curtido. The cabagge has to be prepared well ahead of time so that it actually absorbs the vinegar, salt and oregano flavor. The watery tomato sauce, zero taste. My wife did not like the cheese and loroco pupusas, they had no color coming from the flat grill, cheese was ok, the dough in the pupusas was slightly thicker than what i like. But they definitely needed more color. The chicken tamal had some chick peas but no potato and a little piece of chicken but the masa had a lot of taste. The yuca chunks were fried too much but the pork was tasty, crispy and tender. They offered us a green sauce, which was just ok. All the food lacked flavor, having just visited my family in San Salvador, i knew it was not going to be a great experience but i had high hopes. Tamal de elote while it was a home made product, the corn was not sweet and when they presented it on the plate, it was already unwrapped. So i doubt they wrap them inside the corn husks, which may be the reason why it was crumbling on the plate. Dod not have bad taste but it was not great and the crema was very thick. I couldn't get the savory experience that tamles con crema usually deliver.
