    Chicken fried steak

Located next to a hotel, this cafe can be bustling. I was visiting friends, so we decided to grab breakfast here before adventuring for the rest of the day. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs - I enjoyed it. The country gravy seemed to be out of the can without a ton of flavor, but I wasn't upset by this. Our server was fast, friendly, and accurate. If you wanna a change of pace, c'mon on down for a meal or two.

Lucci's is everything you could ever want in a small town cafe or diner! The establishment is clean. The service is good. And the food is really really good. I happened across Lucci's from some family that recommended it. My family raved about how large the portions are and they were not kidding! Lucci's is very generous with the quantity of food, but they also focus on the quality! We had a good ol' fashioned rib sticking breakfast! I want to go back soon and try some of the Italian menu items!

Good place for breakfast. Service was friendly. I replaced my hash browns for seasoned fries, which I should have just stuck with the hash browns because by the time I got my fries I ate my pancakes (not pictured) and was almost done with my omelette when they brought it out. My fries were straight out the fryer and overly cooked! So I didn't even eat it! My husband food was good a French toast sandwich with eggs and sausage I had to take a few bites lol. Overall it was good, nice quaint breakfast friendly place to eat especially if your staying at the fort Scott Inn which is attached to the restaurant.

This place is new to us and we think it is outstanding in all ways. It is located in the Super 8 Motel in historic downtown Fort Scott. The restaurant has three different seating areas, including a very large and pretty dining room. Ate there twice last week! The food is fresh and homemade and presentation is well done. Food tastes great. The biscuits and gravy was the best I've ever had. They make fresh from the potato hash browns, not the packaged frozen kind. They have an incredible selection of food on the menu and on the specials for the day menu. They have a cooler of yummy-looking desserts: pies, cakes, cheesecake. The waiter and the owner are really personable, attentive, and accommodating. My sister had their spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were huge! She said it was good, and it was. Paul and I ate off their breakfast menu and loved what we ordered. Our omelets were stuffed, but I do wish they had more cheese. That is about my only issue, but it is so minor. This is a very special place, our new local favorite, and we will be back as often as we can.

Just learned of this place and had to try the breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. It was hand-breaded and huge--I got two meals out of it. My husband ordered the meatloaf special and nearly licked his plate clean.

Located within the Rodeway Inn this was a great find open for breakfast on the holiday weekend. Staff was very friendly and food was good.

By far one of the best chicken fried steaks I have had in a very long time. Lucci's Cafe is a great place with big portions.

They tried some dimmer membership thing a few years back. Let me get this right, you want me to pay for the privilege of buying food from you? Who would be dumb enough to do that?

Interesting choice, my team of 5 decided on Chatters as the place we'll have lunch. I was…read moreintrigued because of the menu. We started out with two appetizers, Fried Ravioli & Popcorn Shrimp Basket. To be honest the Fried Ravioli wasn't worth ordering. Pretty much flavorless! The menu read stuffed with cheese & jalapenos. I don't think either existed in the ravioli. Had great potential but just didn't deliver. The Popcorn Shrimp was a step up and we're actually pretty good. The dipping sauce was rather strange - it seemed to be a spicy teriyaki which was okay just not a dipping sauce I expected. Maybe a choice of sauces would be a better option. Four of the 5 choose burgers and I think everyone truly enjoyed their choice. I chose the KC Special - pastrami burnt ends, w/two 1/4 lb burgers with cheese and a side of Freedom Fries. Two others chose the Heavenly Bacon and the last picked the Mushroom Burger. I think it's fair to say everyone enjoyed their burger. The lone dissenter felt the need to be on the healthier side and he went with the salmon. He described it as dry and over cooked. Luckily he choose the French Onion soup as a starter and he said it was one of the best soups he's had! Another one in the group also ordered the same and he said it was delicious. I'm mad at myself for not ordering because that is one of my favorites and can't believe I actually passed on it! Our server was GG and she was very pleasant and she was good at checking in on us to make sure we were doing okay. We enjoyed her waiting on us for our lunch meal. If we ever make our way to Pittsburg again I think I would definitely try this place again and look at trying other items on the menu!
