This company is awful in business. We rented the pizza truck and we specifically ask for the black truck. I repeated and emphasized so many times that I only want the black truck. I paid in full 6 months in advance just to make sure that I will get the black truck for my wedding. Guess what they brought on my wedding day, The white truck that I did not like. No phone calls beforehand, no apologies. Melissa and her husband were crooks and I don't believe they have a black truck. They just show it on their website, but I think it's non existence. We had the Lucca Truck for our wedding in September and I cannot emphasize enough how AMAZING they were! Not only was the pizza some of the best pizza I have every had (I am not kidding, multiple guests asked for their business card), but they were extremely professional, clean, and well organized. So many guests told me how surpisingly well oiled of a machine they were. If a pizza was almost out of slices, they already had another one less than 30 seconds away from being ready. Oh my gosh, we cannot praise Lucca highly enough. Before our wedding, Melissa was so lovely and easy to connect with. She gave us such a great selection of pizzas, salads, etc. to choose from. It was as easy as could be to get everything set up with them. On the day of the wedding, they worked with our coordinators and just hopped right in and got set up and were ready to go by the time we were ready to eat. The service was impeccable - Nick and Sadie were amazing with prepping exactly what everyone wanted. They were so kind and generous with their time and resources. They checked in multiple times with me and a few of our guests who wanted gluten-free pizza; they confirmed the kinds we wanted and then brought it out directly to us (even though we had a buffet kind of line with their food truck) - remembering everyone and making us all feel seen and cared for. The truck itself was ADORABLE. It fit our vibe so perfectly and I loved the look. I haven't even gotten to the food yet. YOU GUYS. It was insane. The salads were delicious and a lovely way to start the meal. And the pizza was the best I've had. Even the ones with gluten-free crust - you couldn't even tell. Having local vendors on our vendor team for our wedding was extremely important to my husband and me. Everyone highly, highly recommends Lucca Truck and when we first started working with them, they were extremely detailed, professional, and communicated very well. We absolutely loved the truck and heard the food was incredible. We agreed to a quote and signed a contract with them one year before our wedding and we were excited to have them on our team for our pre-wedding event (Mehendi/Sangeet). Throughout the year leading up to our date we communicated with them updates to our guest count and continued to receive updated quotes with the same per-person cost. The guest count could change up until they worked with us to finalize the count and menu, which was to take place one month before the event according to the contract. The one-month date passed without us meeting, but we understood that with the boom of weddings in July 2022 they were experiencing delays in getting us the final pricing. When we did meet a couple of weeks before the wedding, we communicated that our latest guest count had reduced by about 15 people. Subsequently, we were told that they could not honor the per person cost that was in the contract and it would be raised. We were told this was because our guest count had dropped below 200 so we were now subject to the pricing of that "tier" (less than 200). We were surprised by this change because there was no indication of the tiered pricing in the contract or in a previous quote for 190 people (which had our original per-person price). During a phone call with Melissa to discuss the pricing adjustment and resolve the difference, she was obviously frustrated by interrupting us, speaking in absolutes, and being disrespectful when talking to us. This further surprised us because our interactions with Melissa prior to this had been nothing but positive and productive. After we provided a PDF of the previous quote for 190 people, Melissa's assistant informed us that Melissa would honor the previous per-person count at 190 people, not our final guest count of 173. On the day of our event the Lucca Truck team was great! They were on time, the food was delicious, guests loved the experience of Lucca Truck, and we were truly happy that we went with Lucca Truck! read more

The truck is so cute, and they come as a completely self contained unit, from set-up to break down! They bring their own lighting, and even cleared all the plates and silverware and loaded my dishwasher! It was the easiest party I have ever done because they do everything! We hired Lucca to cater our daughter's wedding in Camarillo. It was a perfect choice. So much better than rubbery chicken and steak! Many guests raved about the pizza. My nephews had at least 12 slices each (growing boys!). It was fresh, hot and the presentation was perfect. I can't say enough good things about the Lucca team. We first met them at a friends wedding who inspired us to have them cater our own wedding and they delivered in spades. I worked primarily with their owner Melissa, who couldn't be kinder and more solution oriented. She's the type of vendor who shoots it straight and aims to keep it simple, for the client at least . Anytime I wanted or needed to change something, she was ready with a replacement and a solution - didn't like the dessert that was offered so she personally baked trays of fruit cobbler so that I could offer guests two options, I wanted more substantial appetizers than their menu currently offers and she came up with 3 heartier off-menu apps. The truck was set up initially without the oven facing the party, and they turned it around at our request to enhance the ambience (no small feat, since the truck needs to be towed in backwards.) Their food is fresh and delicious, and their presentation is bar none. They put together an exceptionally beautiful grazing table and their 1920's fire-truck that houses their brick oven is a showstopper. It was such a gorgeous focal piece at our wedding. The pizza was delicious, but communication and service by Melissa were extremely difficult and frustrating. Communication between staff, the couple, and planner was a huge mess. Organization, clarity, and followthrough are not strongpoints. Ultimately, our wedding day was not what we asked for or paid for. Issues with this vendor extended 2.5 weeks past our wedding - trying to resolve the issues and get refunded for services we paid for (and were blindsided by the upcharge a week before our wedding) but were not provided. Melissa did end up refunding us for the service that was not provided, but it was a disappointment on our wedding day. For anyone considering booking, I recommend keeping detailed records, getting everything in writing (and updated in the contract, if needed), asking for written summaries of any phone conversations, and keeping track of your own dates (final headcount, payments, menu selections). read more

We were a little worried about Lucca for our wedding catering after reading the bad review a week before our wedding! But everything was above and beyond at our wedding. There was a wide variety of choices of food for everyone with everything clearly labelled when it was Vegan. We had Melissa put a menu of pizzas on a blackboard with all the options for everyone. Our guests all raved about how good the food was. They stayed way after the contracted time. Both Melissa and Mark were so lovely and sweet and all the staff top notch and easy to work with. After the wedding we also saw them on our drone footage doing a really thorough clean up which we had been too distracted to notice on the day.
