The first guy gave us a great $ Price $ quote, sadly he was not insured (um, huge red flag to me, anything to happen we would be at fault, or a grey area, and I dont need to deal with a grey area , someone getting hurt, and or lawsuits if it came to it. The other guys $ price $ ranged was close , just a few thousand dollars apart ish. But a few thousand is a few thousand, We are a budget family, only have one provider, my wife, I am on full Disability, so I try to help her with any thing I can, sometimes it hard due to my chronic pain, really takes it out of it, but she is Amazing.. ANYWAYS, back to this ROOF. lol "Davis Roofing", It came down to what ive researched , I narrowed it to 2 companies, "Davis Roofing" . I am very grateful that they took those massive boards/beams out, since they were really warp, so they replaced them, looks great like nothing happened or wasnt repaired. No charge , it was in our quote , so Im guessing they do that for all there customers, and part of there bussiness model , which is awsome and doesnt throw a wrench into the operation of the roof, and extra fees that is already expsive enough, lol... They really want to earn your business. And trust me they go the extra Mile for you. I could go on about there company and met with the owner, nice guy.. What was most important to me was the warrantees, which he offered 25 year warranty for workmanship, and 50 warranty from GAF for any materials that should not hold up. The other two proposals only offered either a 7 year or 10 year warranty. I had a very good feeling when discussing the project with David that he would deliver what he said. It was in the middle of a rain storm and it was basically raining inside our house due to a leak in the roof, under our solar panels. Ramirez Roofing provided an estimate and then coordinated the fix which required collaborating with a solar contractor to remove then reinstall the panels. They were great at communicating every step of the way, and on the day of the repair, they were here right on time and the work was completed in under 2 hours (this includes removing solar panels, figuring out exactly where the leak was, repairing the leak, and reinstalling the panels). He doesn't sub-out the roof work or employ multiple crews at once, like some. 3) Bid came in @ a thousand cheaper than other local roofers EXTRA TOUCHS 1) replaced fascia, drip edge, and shingles on a little overhang over our Kitchen window that I didn't consider part of the building's roof, but was greatly appreciated. 2) Spray painted all vents and exhaust stacks to match the roof decore so they blended in 3) Re-attached a solar security light and screwed it into a metal roof vent so that it didn't create another roof penetration. 4) Used leaf blower to disperse all sand/grit from all rain gutters and back patio. Diego's wife, Mindy was quick to respond via e-mail to all inquiries. They showed up each day on time and completed work on schedule despite a 3-day weekend. The tear off crew that tore off the old roof tarped off all bushess, garage door, and front porch. They moved deck chairs and BBQ out of the way. They even performed some light tree trimming (which was a bonus) in order to give themselves enough room to work. I appreciated this, because it will actually make my yard maintenance easier in the fall. They swept up all debris and I have yet to find a single stray nail or staple around my property. Diego Lopez communicated all start and stop times. Asked special permission to show up at 7AM in order to avoid the afternoon heat. Something that I appreciated because my 4yr. old doesn't like surprise noises. As mentioned, Diego rebuilt the fascia boards, drip edge, and shingles over a small overhang outside our Kitchen window - an extra that I don't recall being listed on the work order but was appreciated even though it was not technically part of the building's roof. On the last day, Diego's crew used a magnetic mop to catch any stray nails and used a leaf blower to disperse any grit/sand. As mentioned, they spray painted all exhaust stacks and vents a gray color to match the decore of the roof shingles so they blend in with the rest of the roof.

I called to get an estimate and was assisted by Alejandro. He scheduled a date that worked best for me to come out for an estimate. On the day of the appointment, Alejandro kept me informed on when he was arriving. Once he arrived, he asked all the questions and started the necessary inspections. He inspected every inch of the roof and even used a drone to help. He itemized everything that needed to be addressed and broke them down into sections with estimates listed next to them. Based on the inspections, he identified there was moss present that needed removal, few shingles were damanged, gutters were detached, etc. He took many before photos of what he identified that needed to be addressed. He went through each item with me very thoroughly. I decided to hire them on the spot. He said his crew can come out the next day. They require a 10% deposit. On the day of the project, his crew showed up promptly. They got straight to work. The project took around 4.5 hours long to finish. After they were done, they sent me the after photos with the invoice. The roof looks brand new after the cleaning. I am so glad I found them on Yelp. I have a two year roof certification dated 9/25/25. I have found two leaks and dry rot but NRG does…read morenot provide any repairs for the damage they missed. We found damage shortly after we moved into our home. NRG came out twice to look but never followed up with repair. We ended up hiring another company to fix the roof leak and repair the dry rot. Now Two months later we hired a company to clean our gutters and remove moss from the roof and this contractor discovered another leak in a seperate area as well as the dry rot you see in the photos below. According to the certificate in the first photo attached NRG warranted this roof for two years from any leaks. They come and look at the damage but do not follow up with any remedy in this situation. Buyer beware if you use them to inspect your roof when purchasing a home. Our realtor ordered the inspection on our behalf and we paid the invoice.
