It won't let me update my existing review, but I have been here numerous times since 2011. The remain an awesome place. This is what mom and pop shops should be like. Authentic. Caring. No nonsense. And above all, fair. I have no idea why someone would leave a 1 star for these guys except that they are most certainly NOT a jiffy place, homogenized and drained of all personality. Lastly, if you drive by and see a line, just come back later if you don't want to wait. No reason to complain about them being busy. If they are, it's obvious. I love this place. I live in Pasadena but i still drive here to this no frills garage. This place gives good quick no wait service at a real fair price. Brought my brand new 2025 Hyundai Venue in for its first oil change. Service was done, but the experience wasn't great. The guy with the mustache told me "good luck" because conventional oil was used instead of synthetic unnecessarily alarming and unprofessional. I later confirmed it just means a shorter interval before the next change, not engine damage. He also left greasy handprints on the car inside and out. Better cleanliness and communication would be appreciated. read more

Took my car in for a quick oil change, was to lazy to do it myself. NEVER HAS ISSUES with my oil change. Had a bad feeling for some reason, but I pulled in anyways - pulled it in and in a couple of minutes I was told : WE CANT DO OUR OIL CHANGE, THE BOLT IS STRIPPED (something of that sort, lost it when I heard WE CANT DO IT)! I was like WTHECK!! The guy in pit was out of there in no time, he never explained anything to me, but the guy talking to me was all over it. For some reason that guy in the pit was not around, stayed a good distance away, I tried to ask him a question, but I was told before I could finish- yeah you had it put on wrong... YOU ARE BETTER OFF GOING TO A WELL ESTABLISHED OIL CHANGING SHOP! This one did me WRONG! YOU COULD BE NEXT! Can You AFFORD A WHOLE NEW OIL PAN, IF SO TAKE THAT CHANCE! NOOO, REALLY!! DON'T DO IT!!! Have came here for years whenever I needed to get an oil change for my EVO and now my Audi. I usually bring everything with me such as the oil, oil filter and drain washer. After waiting 15 mins they pull up and ask me if I've ever been there before and I have told them that they have serviced my car at least once last year. They claimed that the car was too hard to service and denied my car. They didn't wanna spend 30 mins of work for 40 dollars they claimed. I was pretty surprised. Anyways I decided to go to another lube shop and they happily accepted me. They just gained a new customer. What's going on nowadays? Been coming to Lube Masters for years. Always been loyal. Come in on a Saturday at 5:30 and they're closing up shop. Hours say 6 p.m. Old man goes on to mumble about people coming in at the last minute. If you don't want my business, cool...but why even have hours if you're not going to keep to them. I have been going here for years and have always been treated kindly and with respect. They've even pointed out issues they don't service there so I don't run into car trouble and can make it safely to a mechanic where they do take care of any issues. One time they went as far as to get me a replacement coolant cap when mine fell off for no charge. I had been given the run around by several mechanics recently and was frankly feeling a bit defeated and stopped by to see if they could at least point me in the right direction expecting for them to shut me down. I'm typically pretty mistrustful of auto maintenance places because I feel like they either will try to upsell me, or will tell me something is urgent (when it's not) because I'm a woman and I can easily be fooled (guess again). I was very happy with the service at Lube Masters, though. The service I got was very friendly, and I was done in less than 20 minutes.
