Getting a smog check was not bad at all and it took only 15 minutes! Gian is a very nice person and does a very thorough job. He balanced the air in my tires, instructed me the different ways to pay the registration fee and told me what to expect with the lights on my dash board after getting a smog check. His facility is well kept and organized. The only recommendation is that he needs to put a seat cover on my seat if he plans to lay on the floor to check underneath the car; other than that, he's the best guy to go to in town! read more

I went to C&G Yest only because they had great reviews, and their service lived up to my expectations. They were a little busy, but spoke to me as soon as I arrived, they had a comfortable little waiting area out front with umbrellas which was awesome. My test took 15 minutes, and I was on my way. They were friendly, informative, regular people. They made you want to do business with them again, because they were so strait forward, with industry standard prices, everything happened so smoothly, I plan to do all of my car maintenance and check ups with them. Friendly and knowledgeable service by Giancarlo. I went to get a smog check on my 2011 Miata at another shop and the person could not find a part of my engine that he needed to sign off on - in fact, he looked for almost an hour and even called in a friend to look. They suspected that I had altered my engine. Because this was the last day I could renew my registration and past 5pm, I had to scramble to find another place to get this done. Thank goodness for Gian. He was friendly and professional. When I told him about my other experience, he showed me where the part that the other guy couldn't find was, and also gave me a brief tour of my engine. It was a few dollars more expensive than another shop down the street, but I picked C&G because the information provided on the phone was clear and the person on the phone seemed pleasant. No appointment necessary. I pulled straight into C&G and was immediately greeted by John. I was given an invoice that matched the price I was quoted. There's an area to sit with tables and umbrellas. It was a really hot day, so I went to an adjacent store to wait 10 minutes. When I came back, my car was ready. John was very friendly and knowledgeable. I read some reviews and 98% of them were 5 stars so i decided to bring in my old daily driver a '92 Toyota Corolla to get it smogged. The guy at C&G was great, nice, polite, and wore a mask. Reasonably priced place. My issue is with the shared space with Ray's Auto Repair. There were at least 4 people not wearing masks including one person inside the office and patrons and workers standing face to face talking. It was truly disgusting and appalling. I'm 38 weeks pregnant with underlying health issues and it's simply not okay to subject others to this. I confronted one of them about not wearing a mask and the guy got mad at me and said he was 6 feet away from me so it didn't matter. I didn't want to argue further but that's not the law right now--everyone must wear masks even if outside and 6 feet away. To the C&G owner--please think about humanity and the people's lives and speak up to Ray about his hygiene policies if you haven't already. read more

I just went here as I hated the place that is closer to my house, *cough*..Kings Smog, *cough* *cough*... Anywho, I will leave that to my review of THAT place later. It was just this really nice man, who helped me out. He isn't part of the gas station, it just happens to be next door to it. I gave him my Driver's license, and my DMV paperwork and he took care of the rest. Very curtious and helpful. And my car passed! Fast, efficient, and friendly. Requested a quote via Yelp on Sunday not expecting a response until business hours. Yelp said the response usually takes around 10 minutes, but I received a prompt response within a few minutes. The response answered all my questions and included a discount. Next day my hubby and I were in the area so we did a walk-in. Giancarlo was super friendly and provided great customer service so I knew what to expect. Didn't realize I could do this but I could've also gotten my car registered there if I hadn't already done that online. Everything went well. I couldn't have ask for better service. Easy, personable, thorough, professional, and... did I say easy? Took my BMW here for smog check coincidentally about a week after I'd had to change the battery. I had no idea that changing the battery reset my computer, and it needed more time to run all of its internal tests before I could pass smog.
