Total pros and good guys, plus they know how to hire - everybody there knows what they're doing!

Called and asked if they took appointments. They said we can just drive in. Waited about 15-20 min as a walk-in! Great service

Just came here for a smog check. Quick and easy, done in ten minutes, there's a lobby where you can wait, and a bathroom as well. Edwin was courteous. Recommended. read more

Their services are very good! They are very nice ! Their smoke check service is fast!Everything is ok!

I waited until the last minute to handle this, and sent a message via Yelp to inquire about price and scheduling. They were super swift with response, flexible and transparent. Stopped by on Friday afternoon and was serviced immediately (many customers too). Appreciated the waiting room and was done in about 20 minutes! Thanks gents! read more

Had a repair that needed to be done on one of my cars and the dealership quoted me a ridiculous price to do the work. I brought my car here based on the recommendation from someone I trust. They were professional and gave me the time frame for the repair. The price quote was a third of what the dealership wanted to charge me. The parts used were OEM and they showed me the news parts and what was removed from car. Very honest and reliable (never thought I would say that about a mechanic ). I highly recommend them. read more

Super easy process! Got my SMOG check done in under 15 mins. Highly recommend! Not overpriced either.

Great shop on Figueroa in Lincoln Heights right off the 5. Very friendly, fast and affordable!

My car wasn't passing the smog emissions test and I needed a new catalytic converter. Knowing that my 2000 jeep wrangler only has one converter and that most have 3 I took it several places. The first few places I went didn't believe me when I told them it had 1 converter. They all had to lift it and see that a woman was actually right! Holy hell!?!?!? I finally took it to VJ and not only did he know what he was talking about he fixed my jeep within a few hours. He saved the day and did it for the right price. I highly recommend this place if you don't pass a smog test and need some car love. read more

This is much more than just a smog test station. It's actually a combination of 3 shops owned by the same family. They do all types of mechanical automotive work. I went there today for exhaust system repair and wheel alignment because the previous mechanic I'd been going to does not do that kind of work. Besides, I was getting fed up with him for other reasons. Anyway, the guys here were polite, competent and honest with me. And their prices were fair. What more could I ask for? They even did a couple minor things I needed at no charge. The premises are VERY clean and well organized. I'll be returning in the future. My 5 star rating is based on my one-time experience today. read more

I agree with Sam D's review. This is more than just a smog test station. I've been here three times. First time was a smog test, second was to replace my shocks and third to change my timing belt plus tensioner. The guys here are very polite and very straightforward when it comes to price quotations. I was surprised and how quick they are able to perform automotive services as I was able to get my cars timing belt replaced in one day. Of course I dropped it off when they opened but still that was a very fast change. I am completely satisfied with their services and plan on bringing my car again for any future repairs or services it may require. read more

This place is a hidden gem. My boyfriend brought over our camper van to get it smogged. We were in and out in no time. Friendly place and good vibes would highly recommend and good prices that are flat rate and not adding a bunch of charges like some shops too read more

This place has a few different shops on the same premises. I brought my 2003 Honda CR-V in for a smog test - VJ was super helpful, fast, honest, and the price was great. All of the employees I encountered were courteous and friendly. I'll be back for future smog tests and repairs. read more

I was having trouble with an error code for an O2 sensor and my car's check engine light was not turning off. William did an incredibly thorough job with my little Ford Focus. Their work was quick and when the problem seemed to be electrical they spent diligent time making sure the correct O2 sensors were replaced. The light went off and I passed my smog after MONTHS of fighting with those sensors. They were kind, they were fair. And as a woman that is not automotive savvy i will not hesitate to return. Customer service was amazing and they didn't nickel and dime me. Extremely grateful and satisfied customer. read more

Just took it today for the first time my old bmw for smog check at this star station. I was afraid they would gonna tell to replace catalytic or other things so i did a pre test first which costed 25 and it came perfect. Originally the smog would had been 60 but the total came 85 with the pre test charge. Honest Armenian guys and quick. read more

Fast. Came in at 9:15 am on a Saturday and 30 minutes later, I'm heading out. Convenient. It's off the 110 N/S. Great customer service. It cost me $60. Ask for the Yelp discount. Recommended by my wife. Great place! read more

Friendly staff! No wait time, was in and out!! Super glad there was an actual waiting room with couches instead of awkwardly waiting outside! read more

Great customer service, the wait was short and the smog check was fast. Waiting area is comfortable.

My car failed its test here, so I took it elsewhere to have it repaired. No problems were found, and the tech put the car on their smog equipment to show me the numbers (all good), so I went back to AA Vj for a free re-test. Failed again with wildly different measurements. Returned to my mechanic who insisted the car should pass. Paid a new $60 to a different test-only shop. Passed easily. Check your gear, AA Vj. read more
