He picked the table up and returned it. For those of you who do not know what a drum table is, the center of the table goes around. Mine was badly broken causing the top to be very tilted. I told Mr Burkett, if he could not fix the table to turn and just have the top be connected to the part that turns, I would have him do the job. He came over and looked at it and said he was pretty confident he could fix it. I also have my grandmother's secretary and one of the doors was too warped to close, he fixed that too and now it closes perfectly.

The work gets done, eventually, but the store overall is bizarrely frustrating to work with. The manager seems to be the only person authorized to do anything, whether it is design consultation or checking order status. There are staff, but they always defer to the manager. Once the manager has control of all possible issues, she proceeds to mishandle them, with delays, non-responsiveness, and repeated unkept promises of action. We have had an open issue involving a credit for months, and we literally have to walk in the place to talk to them, because they never answer the phone. As a design professional myself, I have no patience with vendors who make everything harder than it has to be.

Let me describe the services provided and why it was awesome. We were in the midst of redecorating and had several rooms that we were planning to repaint. Linda had a fixed price for a set number of rooms that we thought was very reasonable to begin with. We were really expecting her to stop by, take a look at our house, understand our needs and provide recommendations. But, oh...she did so much more. Linda spent 7 hours with us! For each space that we consulted her on, she asked us to describe usage, provided recommendations, then held up color swatches on the walls so we could see what the color would look like in bright light and shadows and further gave us decor tips. We did not just pick colors, we felt confident in our choices. As I think back to our initial experience when we moved in, we liked a lot of color and picked some bold colors throughout pretty randomly. Unfortunately, less than 4 years later we are re-painting so many areas because the color seems overbearing or did not really work. If we had used Linda's services right at the start, we wouldn't be repainting so soon so we would have saved money! In the end, we have picked shades of a similar color but as Linda explained, there is a rhythm to this, as you move from active areas to areas where light fades and gets bright, you see a consistency and can also change moods somewhat. Again, YMMV, but all-in-all, I don't think anyone will be dissatisfied with Linda...she goes out of her way to please...she need not have spent 7 hours with us and we think that the decor tips she provided are strong. Her work ethic and enthusiasm was excellent...we almost could not keep up with her even after 7 hours. 10/10 for her service and enthusiasm.
