This is a standard Vermont creemee stand that is reasonably popular. It is right next to a video…read morerental if you want to get both a creemee and rent a movie. This stand is better than average in that they are even more generous than usual in portion size (a "small" is much taller than the cone) and they offer multiple flavors. Instead of using a flavor (syrup) infusion, they actually blend their vanilla with other ingredients to make the chosen flavor. The standard creemees here are good but are essentially the same, generic, artificially flavored chocolate and vanilla soft serve that is available everywhere else. If I were recommending a creemee stand for quaintness and authenticity, it would be the one in Bristol, however, this one is close and has the advantage of mixed flavors for variety.

Trust me - This creemee even beats the famous, "dairy" State of Wisconsin hands down. Also, don't leave without buying the "three for $5" freshly baked cookies. On our way up to Stowe, VT from Saratoga Springs, NY, I had read about this place while planning a trip to VT. Every trip includes food stops, and this happened to be our first ! So while this place makes an impressive selection of cookie flavors, of which we availed ourselves to most flavors, we also weren't about to leave without getting a maple creemee (Vermont's answer to soft-serve ice cream). We didn't care that it was before noon, and we hadn't even eaten lunch. The creemee was AMAZING !! The maple flavor was beautiful, and mixed with the creamy goodness of the soft-serve, WOW is all I have to say. Just WOW !! So glad I read about this place and made a point of stopping. As for the cookies, we bought one of each of most flavors they offered. I couldn't make up my mind, so I picked the following: Snickerdoodle - sugar cookie with cinnamon First Love - chocolate chip Puppy Love - peanut butter chocolate chip Mother's Love - butterscotch with chocolate chip True Love - oatmeal with dried cranberries Enduring Love - coconut, oatmeal, chocolate chip, almond and dried cranberries There are about 4 other flavors we didn't get on the day we were there. They also serve other flavors of creemees, and all kinds of hard ice cream, too, but I didn't care about any of that. I got what I wanted and was real glad I did !! By the way, we didn't get to the cookies until a day or two later, and they were still really fresh and moist ! Find your way here. You'll be soooo glad you did.
