The ice cream brand is "Perry's" and the selection has lots of flavors, as well as soft serve and sugar free. The prices are reasonable and the ice cream is good. We've vacationed in Willsboro for the last 3 summers, because our friends own a Lake House here. Each time, a trip to Ethel's was part of our evening. It's now tradition to come here at least once during our trip.

The food is typical fast food so nothing great or groundbreaking, I don't go there for the food, but the ice cream is perfect. Service is always super fast and everyone who works there is so nice. It's been the same employees for such a long time which is always nice to see. The place itself is a cute small town vibe. Nothing fancy, and there's no need for that. On our way up to Stowe, VT from Saratoga Springs, NY, I had read about this place while planning a trip to VT. Every trip includes food stops, and this happened to be our first ! So while this place makes an impressive selection of cookie flavors, of which we availed ourselves to most flavors, we also weren't about to leave without getting a maple creemee (Vermont's answer to soft-serve ice cream). We didn't care that it was before noon, and we hadn't even eaten lunch. The creemee was AMAZING !! The maple flavor was beautiful, and mixed with the creamy goodness of the soft-serve, WOW is all I have to say. Just WOW !! So glad I read about this place and made a point of stopping. As for the cookies, we bought one of each of most flavors they offered. I couldn't make up my mind, so I picked the following: Snickerdoodle - sugar cookie with cinnamon First Love - chocolate chip Puppy Love - peanut butter chocolate chip Mother's Love - butterscotch with chocolate chip True Love - oatmeal with dried cranberries Enduring Love - coconut, oatmeal, chocolate chip, almond and dried cranberries There are about 4 other flavors we didn't get on the day we were there. They also serve other flavors of creemees, and all kinds of hard ice cream, too, but I didn't care about any of that. I got what I wanted and was real glad I did !! By the way, we didn't get to the cookies until a day or two later, and they were still really fresh and moist ! Find your way here. You'll be soooo glad you did.

Both were luscious and decadent. My friend got the Cherry Chocolate Chunk - Vanilla with sweet dark cherries and chocolate chips and Kahlua Fudge Brownie - Kahlua mocha ice cream with brownie bits and fudge swirl. They were equally tasty. We didn't want to waste any, so we stuffed ourselves. Had I not been 30 min from home, I'd have refrozen half for breakfast! These ice creams are rich and creamy. It's clear they're homemade and ridiculously affordable. I'll definitely be back to try them all.
