So I'm starting out by praising the park as a concert venue to make up for my gripes about Central Park and PNC Bank Arts Center. I enjoyed the free De La Soul show here, which had good sound quality and a pleasant setup where you could opt for a close-up viewing of Eye Know and Me Myself and I or just roam around and still hear it. I wish I remembered who had the Yelp reviews that mostly focused on bathrooms, but park regulars know about the bathroom sort of near the LIRR train. It's not as glamorous or as clean as Bryant Park but it's mostly ok and open later than one might expect. The park isn't offering a wilderness facsimile like parts of Prospect Park but you can see birds and there are nice plants. The Unisphere is legendary.

It's…read moreconveniently located within walking distance of both Met- Willets Point and Flushing- Main Street stations on the 7 train. The park offers plenty of green space and walking paths to explore. You can also visit the iconic Unisphere, a giant globe leftover from the 1960s New York World's Fair. We came here for a concert, the sound was surprisingly pretty good for such a massive open air venue.
