Instead of immediately hooking up our car to be towed, he broke out a set of tools. He reminded us of a surgeon prepping for surgery. He worked his magic on the battery, which we were already making funeral arrangements for. Then, with a confident look on his face, he asked me to try starting the car. We were shocked! Mike temporairly resurrected our pronounced dead battery!! No need for a tow! He's a miracle worker, and has our strongest endorsement Thanks, Mike.

We are 40 year members of AAA…read more It is October 1, 2026 and my truck was stalled on the H-1 freeway! We managed to drive to the US Post office at the airport. I called the AAA for a tow to the car repair shop. I was promised: 2:45pm O'Sung Towing LLC should arrive; I waited ... then received a text: 3:29pm O'Sung Towing LLC should arrive; I waited ... then received a text: 4:24pm O'Sung Towing LLC should arrive! I had been waiting for 3 hours! I had called AAA and was routed to an AI (I hate these things) generated texts ... do you want a STATUS? do you want to CANCEL request for a tow, or do you want an AGENT? I had waited for 3 hours! I called O'Sung Towing LLC and was told they provide 24 hour service; OMG, this is a AAA contractor and they represent AAA. We are 40 year members of AAA! This fact did not impress the AI or human Josh, or Lovye or Christine with AAA that I had been waiting for 3 hours and the fact that as a senior citizen, my request for a tow was disregarded as a insignificant. AAA wanted me to CANCEL my request for a tow and risk waiting 24 hours as their contractor O'Sung Towing LLC prides themselves to service AAA members, without regard to being members for 40 years! What is their purpose for existence! I should have called GEICO at the beginning! As a result, I am cancelling our 40 years membership with the nationwide known AAA. What a waste of time and effort and money to trust AAA. What a waste of time and money to trust O'Sung Towing LLC. AAA should not trust O'Sung Towing LLC and eliminate that company as AAA contractor. I trust GEICO.

We were closer to Waipahu and they were coming from the east side. Made it in good time and took care of everything seamlessly. Even sending us an invoice/receipt. They were very kind, professional, and prompt. I definitely recommend this company for any towing needs and price isn't too bad at all.

I was greatly overcharged for a tow of our car after an accident which occurred close to our house…read more The police called a Sniffen's tow truck which towed the car less than half a mile to our house. The tow driver (Sniffen's Towing, contracted through Kuni's Auto) refused to unhook our car unless we gave him an immediate cash payment of $240.00. He threatened to tow our car back to his company's lot on the other side of the island if we didn't pay cash immediately. The driver said he could not accept credit cards. I called the Sniffen's company number painted on the side of his truck and was told that the driver was correct to ask for cash payment and that $240.00 was the correct amount for a tow of less than a half mile distance. The tow driver revved his engine and threatened to take our car away if we did not give him cash immediately. A friend had to drive one of us to an ATM to get the cash so that he wouldn't leave with our car. When we had time to research it, we found out that as per Hawaii State Law, the charge should have been no more than $55+$15 for Sunday and less than $6.50 for mileage to about $76.50. We were overcharged by about $163.50. The law states that tow drivers must accept credit cards. The law also says that the police should first give the car owner the option to call the towing company of their choice in case of a disabled car. We were given no such option. (She could have called Triple A.) I called the police to question their choice of towing company and was told that this company is contracted by the police and is the one they are required to use. My husband called Sniffen's Towing/Kuni's Auto to complain, and was told to "come down and show us your balls". No joke. We complained to the Office of Consumer Protection to get our money back and Consumer Protection wrote a letter to Sniffin's demanding that they refund the overpayment to us. Sniffin's never refunded the money. I called Consumer Protection and they said that those tow companies never pay. I went to the Sniffin's place of business and asked them to refund our money. They said, "Go ahead and try to prove it in court. You will never win."

on a BUDGET. My mom…read moreand I had difficult situation last week when her car died on the street in front of our home. I tried, to no avail, to start her car but the engine showed no signs of life. I pushed the car to the side of the road and we tried to figure out what to do next. A few phone calls later, my mom is on the phone with Carlos explaining our stressful situation with her car. He assures her he can help, but it would 1-2 hours before he can get to our home. He arrives and expertly aligns the car with the tow truck. Before attaching the towing mechanism, he pops the hood and takes a look. After a short while, he then informs us that the car's shifter cable broke (which definitely explains why the gear shift wasn't responding, this makes perfect sense for someone like myself who has no car mechanics background). We ask him to tow the car to Lex Brodie's in Aiea (I had called before his arrival to ask if it was ok to tow the car to their location). As he is settling the towing fees with my mom, he informs one of the Lex Brodie workers that the problem with the car is a broken shifter cable (he told the girl "the mechanic will know what to do"). Carlos and his diagnosis definitely saved us some money, as I was told on the phone that a $175 diagnostic had to be performed on the car. The car was dropped off at about 1215pm, and we were able to pick up the car before closing that day. We were charged $83 for labor and the replacement shifter cable. BOTTOM LINE: THANKS to Carlos and Budget Towing for their great customer service and expert mechanic knowledge! Thank you for assisting us in a very difficult and stressful situation.
