AI tells me that "A standard gyro consists of seasoned rotisserie meat wrapped in a soft pita bread with tomatoes, onions, tzatziki sauce, and often french fries." The gyro platter here was just meat, pita and sauce... that's it... disappointed The fig leaves came 5 on a plate with about a table spoon of rice and little bits of meat - hardly a meal. Also disappointed and hungry after.. Go for happy hour and eat somewhere else.

From creative names, too creative flavors, you won't be let down at Strange Taco. I ordered the B-ATL salad and added chicken. As the name suggests, it's bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes, and a green goddess dressing. It also has cheese. It's a great salad and also available in taco form. The OG tacos here are also awesome. Personal preference, but the cheese dip is a little bland and a little pricey, so maybe skip it, and get a nice beer instead, they have a decent selection of local options and your favorites.

My wife and I came to The Rooftop excited to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary. We walked in…read moreall smiles, found two open seats at the bar, and sat down. Unfortunately, that excitement disappeared pretty quickly. We waited approximately 10 minutes without being acknowledged. A woman standing behind us who had arrived after we did was approached by the bartender and had her order taken first. I'm not going to speculate about the reason, but sitting there and watching it happen certainly didn't make us feel welcome. At that point I decided not to order anything because I already had doubts about staying. My wife ordered a glass of white wine that was supposed to be a 6 oz pour. When it arrived, we both questioned the amount. I even noticed other glasses of wine at a nearby table that appeared to have considerably larger pours. I've included a photo so people can judge for themselves. We weren't looking for special treatment because it was our anniversary. We simply expected the same basic level of acknowledgement and service as everyone else. It's unfortunate because we came in genuinely excited to try a local place and celebrate together. The atmosphere has potential, but our first impression of the service made us feel like we'd be better off spending our anniversary somewhere else.

Cute little spot in downtown Monroe!…read more Definitely a vibe. Hubby and I stopped in for lunch to try it out and we were not disappointed! Warning the space is fairly small and most of the seating is outdoors. I heard the night entertainment is amazing and they do have the perfect set up for that. Service was somewhat a miss the day we went. Our server, also bartender, wasn't really attentive even though we were the only table she was servicing. There were multiple times we had to ask/remind her for basic items i.e. silverware, plates, refills, the check, to go boxes.. Maybe because we were actually Asian and not the consumer demographic, we didn't get the same bubbly friendly attention others got. Overall we made the most of our lunch. Authentic? I wouldn't say 100% but maybe 80/85%. Everything we did get was flavorful excluding the calamari. We do plan on going back again to try their other dishes since we really did enjoy everything we got to try this visit. Extremely grateful to have quality Thai food in our little town of Monroe.

To be honest, we haven't come in before because it looks small from the outside and always appeared crowded. However, the exterior is deceptively small - the interior is very large with lots of seating. Even though the parking lot was crowded, we were seated immediately and there were plenty of open tables. There is free parking in lots a block away. Hailey M., our server, was welcoming, friendly, and super helpful with gluten free options! Hailey recommended two delicious ciders and great sandwich options. Our compliments to the chef(s) - the roast beef au jus and salmon sandwiches were phenomenal. Can't believe how quickly we were served and how amazing they tasted. My gluten free bun was one of the best I've ever had. We also enjoyed the music and atmosphere. They gave us plenty of time to set up beforehand, which made a huge difference, and the space itself was perfect for hosting. Our clients loved the atmosphere, and the food was absolutely delicious. If anything, it looks a little sketchy from the outside given the bars on the window, but it's not a sketchy place at all. Believe me when I say this. I stopped in on a Monday night for a nightcap. It was nice and quiet, which is exactly what I was looking for that particular evening, the following day being a travel day for me. As you can see from my pics, it's a nice little place. Drink prices were very reasonable, and the bartending was very good, too. I will happily stop in again when I return to Athens next year. Cheers!
