Cute little spot in downtown Monroe! Definitely a vibe. Hubby and I stopped in for lunch to try it out and we were not disappointed! Warning the space is fairly small and most of the seating is outdoors. I heard the night entertainment is amazing and they do have the perfect set up for that. Service was somewhat a miss the day we went. Our server, also bartender, wasn't really attentive even though we were the only table she was servicing. There were multiple times we had to ask/remind her for basic items i.e. silverware, plates, refills, the check, to go boxes.. Maybe because we were actually Asian and not the consumer demographic, we didn't get the same bubbly friendly attention others got. Overall we made the most of our lunch. Authentic? I wouldn't say 100% but maybe 80/85%. Everything we did get was flavorful excluding the calamari. We do plan on going back again to try their other dishes since we really did enjoy everything we got to try this visit. Extremely grateful to have quality Thai food in our little town of Monroe. read more

We came in for a quick bite at this Thai restaurant in Monroe. It was such a welcoming experience. The host was kind and friendly. It was Easter weekend. Great outdoor ambiance and great patio vibe. Our first time. It is such a delightful place. Lots of great food options on the menu. I had the Thai soup and dumplings. We would love to come back and try different dishes. read more

Very unique and cozy spot in downtown Monroe. Really loved the uniqueness of the restaurant! Staff was very friendly and gave our party of 4 great service. Enjoyed the Panang curry, several noodle dishes and especially enjoyed the mango sticky rice for dessert. Will definitely be back! read more

This place has such a cool, authentic vibe. Artistic and interesting beer garden, welcoming and clean atmosphere, and awesome food. We came for a late lunch and had the crab appetizer, the dumplings, Pad Thai, crab fried rice, and a chicken street food entree. The service was quick and friendly. The total vibe of the place is fantastic, nice outside seating, live music, misters for the hot days, and great outdoor and indoor seating. The service was extremely slow but polite, taking almost 25-30 minutes to get a drink but the woman was very nice. They Thai Tea is SEVERELY watered down. It's also almost 90% ice. Upon requesting one with no ice the lady laughed and said it was going to be "very sweet" but we insisted that was what we wanted. So she brought the no ice Thai Tea but it came out already mixed and was clearly watered down as well which was very disappointing. The spring rolls were pretty good. The main dishes were okay at best, the chicken tasted old and was slightly rubbery, food is not as spicy as advertised either so get a level higher than anticipated. The food portions were great for the price but the flavor was just okay. It's a shame the food is just okay and the staff are disingenuous because the atmosphere at the place were fantastic. Cute little vibe in Covington! There is both indoor and outdoor seating. There's also a performance area off to the side for live music - you can sit and listen while you wait for your table if you happen to go during a busy time. We were seated inside and the service was very attentive and fast. I ordered spring rolls and the crab, fried rice, both which were tasty! 100% yes! I literally went here 3 times opening week! The food is delicious! The owners are great! The ambiance is so fun and the servers are great! I am working my way through the menu lol but definitely worth a try! Be prepared to wait if you want to dine in. The inside is a little small, and they are working on expanding, but be patient. Best Thai food I've had in a long time. I specifically wanted Laab, and my tastebuds were expecting something sharp and spicy. I was not disappointed! I've always had pork Laab, but they offered chicken. Didn't make a difference! Delicious, sharp, and spicy and it made my tastebuds sing! The owner shared with us that she wanted the food to be as close to authentic Thai food as possible. She has been here, from Thailand, for 4 years, and it is obvious that each dish is made with passion and love. I love places that focus on freshness and authenticity. We are DEFINITELY going back! Food was ok. We sat outside which was good except for all the flys. They were overwhelming. Table and chairs were dirty. Service took forever. We sat down and waited 30 minutes before our order was taken. Ordered alcoholic drinks when we ordered the apps and meals, and they came well after the food came. My meal came first, and my wife's meals took another 10 minutes. So obviously I had to wait to eat until hers arrived. Food was ok. Spring rolls were good. Dumplings were good as well. Hard to screw up fried rice. Drinks were less than average. Waitress took 10% off - I didn't ask for that so I guess they were trying to make it right. Service is everything to me so I doubt I'll be back, regardless of how the food was. read more

This is my vote for the best restaurant in Monroe and there are a lot of good restaurants in Monroe. The layout of the restaurant mimics the cafes in Southeast Asia with most of the seating being outside. I could eat the khao soi kai every day. It can get really busy on the weekends, but that's just a testament to how good the food is. read more

Any restaurant that automatically charges a mandatory gratuity because my wife and I brought our daughter and 3 foster kids (2 are babies), not warn you about the gratuity, and then accept another 20% gratuity on top of it, especially after waiting an hour for food, should be reprimanded. You also charged us for using a credit card. I'd ask how much you charged us for the extra soy sauce but it's been over a month and we're still waiting for it. read more

This was our first visit to Thai Won On and will not be the last. The food was all flavorful and delicious. Service was outstanding. We dined outside and we were impressed by the well thought out use of space. The restaurant is built in the corner of two long tall cinder block walls. Sounds unappealing HOWEVER the art work on those walls is beautiful. They included a misting system to cool the area and as we continued taking in the details we noticed the roll up walls to enclose the space during inclement weather. They also had tall propane space heaters on stand by for chilly fall evenings in the open air space. But most of all great Thai food and a super creative name. read more

Arrived at 6:45 sat at bar and didn't get our order taken until 10 min later after receiving our menus. We ordered and receive part of our order and they didn't prepare the other entree at all.
