Besides being way overpriced compared to other box stores Lowe's is unreliable. I stopped in to avoid an extra 30 minute driving only for them to not carry a very common item in stock. A HUGE shout out to Brittany H. in delivery/customer service at the Jordan Creek Lowe's. I had a very complicated issue with delivery of items that originated at a different DSM location. She made multiple calls on my behalf and even personally picked up an item from the other location so that my delivery of items could be complete. She took the time to sort through all of my transactions to ensure I had been properly charged/credited for the order. Amazing to say the least! I chose to go to Lowes on Jordan Creek. It was the closest "hardware" store to me. I needed a piece for a sink. I walked in and went to the correct aisle. I looked for an employee......couldn't find one. Got halfway through the store before I found one. She said the person working in that section was at lunch, but she would page someone. I hurried back to the plumbing aisle. I never heard a page over the loudspeaker. I waited 10 min. During this time, a gentleman had been paiged for appliances and was helping some people there. I asked him to help me when he was done and immediately paged someone over the loudspeaker. No one showed up. The gentleman finished helping the couple. So I went back and asked again for help since no one had shown up. He told me the guy working plumbing was working in receiving and came in early for that? He then came over and helped me. This should have been a 5 min quick in and out trip. I was there WAY TOO LONG. Ridiculous. I should have driven further and gone to Home Depot. I still would have been home quicker. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service. Purchased my parents a toilet on May 27, and based on ads in store, also paid for installation. We intended to buy it that day, but decided the installation would be a good convenience - so we had to order it online (which I did from the store, while standing right next to several they had in stock). We paid for for installation than the toilet cost. Waited a week for the installation date, my parents rearranged to be home - and no call/no show. App said it would be installed on June 5. I called the store, and a man told me "We didn't have it in stock that day, which is what June 3 meant - that we would get it in stock that day." I told him I knew they had it in stock because I was literally standing in that aisle while playing my order. It quickly became clear he was just making up answers and had no idea what was going on. Since it was clear I wouldn't get anywhere with this guy, I decided to just let it go and assume it would be installed June 5, per the update on the app. Again, my parents coordinated schedules, and again - no show. This repeated itself. parents went to the store to talk to someone in person. Again, no apologetic tone or words, and just said the system shows it would be installed that day, so they better get home if they want it installed. Exasperated, I called corporate. She apparently lit a fire because someone finally showed up - but he broke a piece while installing it. He said he would have to come back and fix that, and they could not use it in the meantime. He said he would be back in the next few days. Instead, he ghosted them, reported it in the system as complete, and they now can't even use the toilet. (at least before this guy showed up, they could use their old one). I just called corporate again, went through the whole spiel, and while she was nice and apologetic - I got cut off. when I called back, the answering system picked up and said they were closed. Not very speedy with getting back to us on replacing countertops and flooring in our kitchen. We have gotten the run around for 5 weeks for them to come out and measure. It costs money to do that, I get that. We just want to get this project started in January! We have been here for an hour tonight just to get them to get our address right as well as book a time for the measuring. This is so disappointing! I really like this Lowes. We pretty much remodeled and bought all our appliances for our first home from this location. Now that we are starting to remodel out second home, we've started getting in the groove of DIY shopping again! Everyone I've ever dealt with here is friendly, hard working, and really seems to like doing their job. I really, really appreciate the great service from paint to lumber to flooring and even cashiers. Lowes also gives a good military discount, even on sale items. read more

When they came they were the wrong ones and didn't fit.I had to wait while they decided if it was Lowe's fault or the installing company's fault. It took from June until the 27th of Sept. I spent almost $4000 on a new door and installation November 4th, 2020. Due to a backlog/lack of installers, we did not have it installed until late December 2020. When the door was installed, he pulled off the trim inside, which is still not correct, losing a curtain rod bracket. He left a trash bag and trash all over the deck. Siding was off the house and exposed to the elements in the winter in Iowa. He had smeared caulking all over the paint on the side of the house, and there was and still is an inch and a half gap between the door and the siding that they filled with caulk. When I complained, they sent him back out and he touched up a little bit but couldn't do much else. This was in January. I am immediately complained again and they said they were going to send someone out to fix the paint once it got above 40°. I started making calls in March continuing through April (about 10-12 call) and finally got someone back out here in May. They touched up the caulking and painting but I still have an inch and a half gap above the door. When I asked the representative if this would be normal Lowe's practice, they said that yes, they don't do siding and that the door probably was a slightly different size. After spending almost $4000 on a new door, my house looks worse than it did before we were placed it. I will not purchase from Lowe's again and I definitely will not use installers from Lowe's again. read more

Their delivery department is terrible. We bought a grill 2 weeks ago with plans for it to be delivered this Saturday. Saturday morning , I call them to schedule a time and the guy who answers the phone is very rude. He said he cannot hear me .And when I try to speak loudly ,he says there is no need to yell. Then he tells me our salesperson here has it written down that you carried the grill with you and we do not have you scheduled for delivery. I asked him to look at the camera footage in their store on the date of purchase when they can see if I had taken the grill with me. Finally he gives it to another person who says - Okay that is fine , I will have it scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. Not even an apology. The folks who delivered the grill were extremely nice and that is why I gave the 1 star. The guys on the phone in their delivery department are extremely rude, have a problem with talking to people with accents and I would never advise anyone to purchase anything from this store read more

Went to the store to buy mulch this morning. At checkout I was told they would send someone to help load it. Being a 64 year old female it would be nice to get help. No one showed up.....so I honked my horn for a while...still no one. Went and found another person and they said they would send someone....still no one showed up. Got amazing help from Cash in the lumbar department, he went above and beyond helping us fix a part of my bed frame that got broken during a recent move. He went around to different departments to rebuild the piece that was broken, and then talked us through how to reattach it. At the end we asked him how much it would be for labor, etc., and he said it would just be the cost of the wood. Only had to pay $2 and I saved myself a headache from trying to figure it out how to do it myself. Thanks for all the help! read more

You can be the judge of if this was handled in an appropriat manner and descide if you would trust make a purchase at this store.. Below is an email i send lowes custoemer care after i placed and order and the responce. I place an order online for Item number 164863 Model # RMC-55R7B on 11/12/14 out of store number 2648 for the price of $29.75 the order number was *******25. It was also stated that it was in stock and will be ready for pick up same day. After the order was placed verified and paid for I received a call from the store stating that they didn t have the item in stock and would not be ordered. He stated that the other two stores in the metro area had them in stock one had two and one had three. He also stated that I could order the item from there store and he would cancel this order and refund the money. I went to store number 0552 to order the product and it is showing at $119.00 and the other metro store also shows this same price. I called store number 2648 again to advise of this and Drew a manager stated that he cannot help me due to it was a No Stock Tier and was to be clearance out of that store. He said to call store number 0552 and see if the manager would sell at the same price he said he could not call and could not guarantee they would be able to help me since it was a store thing not a regional or area thing. I asked if he could have it shipped to his store for pickup he stated he couldn t. I called store 0552 and let the operator know my situation and story and she put me on hold to ask a manager, when she came back to she stated that they cannot match store to store prices. What really gets me going on this is that after calling the stores I go online and it shows that there is one in stock same item number and same model number but for $119.00 so it seems to me that the order was canceled and I was lied to after the order was paid for, for whatever reason. I would like to receive this product since it seems that I have proof that there is the product but the store was not willing to sell it to me at the advertised price. I have included screen shots of the item showing in stock and the proof of sale at the discount price. Below is the responce i recieved from customer care, Thank you for your email.
