After reading the other complaints Lowe's does not care about customers. That is probably why they closes 1,751 stores nationwide. If Maple shade treats its customers, the way I was treated today they are probably next. I bought products to a renovation in our bathroom. I became ill and was told by my doctors to not proceed. At the returns desk I needed a receipt. I went back home and found the receipt. Customer service here is a laughable afterthought. I Just stopped here to get a new handle for our outdoor hose faucet. The plastic piece you turn broke. Three different employees told me three different locations. Not at any of those. The third employee gave me a look as though I asked him to babysit my toddler for a week when I asked for help. I did an internet order for two items. When the first item was due, I got a text message saying it had been delivered, and when I opened my front door, there was a gentleman standing on my porch with a big box. I emailed, texted, and called Lowe's but I couldn't raise any human response, so I called the following morning. After spending over half-an-hour ON HOLD, I finally spoke with a very nice lady who knew nothing useful, but promised a call-back from Store #2389 in Voorhees, NJ. Eventually, a lady called from that store, and said that the driver had said that the since the courthouse was closed, they didn't deliver. *** MY HOME IS NOT A COURTHOUSE! *** The lady was unable to explain why I got a text saying that the item had been delivered when it hadn't been. This was clearly a lie. (How am I supposed to run my home improvement project when my supplier lies to me?) She was also unable to explain why a delivery had been (supposedly) attempted at a "courthouse," when my address is in a residential development in suburbia. Probably just another lie. She was able to set up a re-delivery, but not until FOUR DAYS after the initial due date. I can ship a package half way around the world within 24 hours, and Lowe's can't bother themselves to expedite a package which is already late. A responsible company would have apologized, found a willing employee with a car, apologized again, and delivered it within 2 hours. If all else failed, they would have put the package in a taxi. Expensive? Yes. But not nearly as expensive as a bad Yelp review. read more

I have often bought plants at this Lowes. It is close to home and on the way from work. I love gardening and caring for my significant inside plant collection also. The prices at Lowes are better than at the boutique nurseries in the area. And they have more choices. When I was able to spend some time planting this mid summer, Almost every plant here was wilted and dying from no water, none of the plants had been watered enough in at least the last 3 days of about 100 degrees weather. I went to speak with the manager about getting a few scruffy looking hydrangeas at a discount. "You should get someone to water. You're loosing inventory." His answer was "they get watered in the morning." "It's been 100 for 3 days, they'll be dead by morning." " Yes probably." he answered. I got the 50 percent discount. Plants look great with a little TLC. Tonight I checked YELP, which is a great tool, to see which store closed the latest in my area. They were all closing at 9pm except the one closest to my home, it was open till 10pm! I was thrilled since it was 8:00 and I needed some supplies and would get to check out some plants. Sometimes they have great plants. 80 Percent of their indoor plants where wilting! The other 20 probably came in this morning. I went to the store manager, I assume, who was taking her vest off and trying to run out of customer service. It was 9:02pm. Oh you're closing now? I told her they were about to loose a lot of inventory if they don't water. She said. " I know." Really? I did say, "I could do it in less than an hour." She was gone! Wish I'd said ; and I'd save the store about $500 loss in wholesale product. Imagine the profit if you had one or two people on your staff to take care of your nursery for 2 hours a day? Not just the lovely worker bees, but 2 supervisors who had a couple people each to do the really hard work. These helpers, who could be unskilled as long as they don't mind working hard, sweating and looking buff by mid summer, are not to be diminished or disrespected because they do that back-breaking, dirty, buggy, unthanked work, with sweat in their eyes, scrapes cause people really love those creeping roses, only $3 tip if lucky. That's the stuff I can't do! I can talk and point now. And tip! The staff has always been very kind. I mean the wonderful worker bees. The managers have occasionally been less than willing to address my concerns, leaving me wanting to just pay more at real nurseries, rather than deal with people who don't care that because they had the wrong closing time on YELP "We don't control YELP." Was her answer. I was FORCED (I know I wasn't, but I wanted them.) to buy 4 less than healthy plants for full price and didn't get everything I wanted. The manager wouldn't give me the time to have that discount discussion as she ran from customer service to punch out at 9:04pm. I know I'm nuts..... I hate waste and I hate when any of my plants die. For as much as I complain about one experience at this location, I do love Lowes. Their store is clean, well stocked, well merchandised, conveniently located and they have fantastic sales. I'm here often for paint, plants, plant pots, soil & a zillion other things. I find they have much better deals than Home Depot & I feel they stock higher end products. If you shop here, I suggest getting the "my Lowes" frequent buyer card. It's free, but you have to ask for it as no one has ever offered it up. There is a card, a key fob, a smartphone app even a little sticker to affix on a frequently used credit card - it tracks all your purchases & for me it's handy as I'm currently buying a lot of paint. Shop for tiles and bathrooms elsewhere. I just completed 100% remodel in my home for 5 full bathrooms. Lowe's delivered all the materials. One bathroom after installing we noticed a slight difference in the glossiness on 1/2 of the floor. The color white was a perfect match. The only issue was the glossiness. 1/2 the floor was really shinny and the other 1/2 less shinny. But very noticeable after the floors were installed. My contractor had to tear up the entire floor. Lowe's refuses to reimburse my contractor for the labor. I understand that it's the contractors responsibility to recognize the difference in the tiles like color. But the glossiness isn't that simple. And not so easy to see. I spoke to the store manager I believe his name is Devon. He said it's the contractors fault. I explained to Devon that "If my contractor had picked up the product himself then I would blame him" but since Lowe's delivered the tiles then they should bare some responsibility. Every idiot knows that you NEVER select tiles from different pallets. There will always be a different color and in order to get them exact they MUST be selected off the same manufacturer production. Lowe's knows that! They are the professionals we depend on to assure what they have selected and DELIVER should be from the same production date. Lowe's didn't have all the tiles in stock and got tiles from different locations to fill my order. We spent over $8,000 remodeling this project and are planning to do 3,000 sq ft of hardwood and much more. NOT FROM LOWES I assure you. If you shop for tiles, flooring, carpets at Lowe's and they offer you delivery. Beware that they might be filling your order and picking mixed manufacturing dates from different stores. I guess it's your responsibility to tell them and not theirs to select from the same pallet. read more

I am coming to the conclusion that I should not be shopping "in-store" I am a soon to be online shopper convert. I have been working on a project recently and buying a few parts here there. This past weekend I decided to finally finish it. I needed a few PVC parts. I had read online that Lowes does cut PVC. Long story short they would not cut the pipes I needed. I totally understand if this is something that the store doesn't do and that I possible read the wrong thing online. But the customer service here really lacked. When I was asked if I needed help I felt it was not genuine. And when I asked about the cutting service, there were no other solutions offered to me. Maybe I was just expecting too much. Other than the customer service the store layout was really strange and I found it very hard to locate items even with the app telling me the aisle and bay numbers. read more

Ordered a Dreamline shower door from this store. We were told it had a 10 day delivery date. After 20 days and my contractor demobilizing we called the store manager. The door was delivered 2 days later. When I picked up the door I asked to speak to the manager. This women could not have been less interested in what I had to say. "Well I'd have to look into it" Really I need to give you direction to look into it? " I wouldn't have scheduled anything until everything was in" I scheduled everything around a 15 day lead time on the door. I'm confident I've scheduled more contractors then this person. This is a negative review because of an instance of poor monitoring and security for a situation that should have definitely been a red flag. My car was broken into and the thief stole my credit and debit card, went to Lowe's immediately after and bought over $2,000 in visa gift cards. This is a common scam usually done at Lowe's and Home Depot. These people did not have my license, but the employee(s) didn't ask anyway. When cops asked a manager how this could happen, they said that the cashier has to override a charge over $500. Okay so if a cashier was just able to override it, do they not think this was suspicious enough to investigate further or think to ask for their manager to look at it? I'm sorry all I need to read is "$2,000 of visa gift cards" and my immediate thought is that is absolutely a scam. I don't think visa gift cards should be allowed to be purchased at self check out and I know Lowe's couldn't care less because at the end of the day, they still get paid. Since this is a frequent scam and Lowe's still hasn't done anything to change how they deal with it, I'd give less than a 1 star if I could. read more

No Stars for Lowe's Voorhees NJ. Just to walk in and pay your bill is a project as well as an inquisition. I was asked if I was paying my bill, obviously I was. Then I was asked if this was a personal check, it has my name and address on it, still not enough info for her. I was asked to show her my picture ID that included my address, she checked to see if my address matched my license and it did. This should be the narrative when people vote, it would serve a better purpose. I have paid my bill for years in this store and was never questioned like that. Customer service needs to take a page out the orange box store across the street called Home Depot. I will be shopping a lot more in that store, paying a bill is never a hassle, I never felt like I was going to be cross examined when I pay in person, always a pleasant experience. An absolute circus of a store. Employees are given little to no training, it's trial by fire. As someone who worked there the management is atrocious and the lack of consistency and quality in the service given is embarrassing, there's a complete domino effect presumably from poor management. Also when I worked there I was sexually harassed by a co-worker, reported it, and was told my harasser would work completely different shifts only to either be stalked or approached by my harasser two different shifts. A few years ago I would have laughed at you if you told me I'd leave a job that pays almost $16 hourly. Brought my son in here for the first time today, and I quote, "This place is ginormous!". Just needed to make a copy of a key and I was met by Richard in the hardware department. He was very helpful in making the copies and noticed that the machine that did the key cutting didn't cut the keys well. He tried 3 times and finally got the key right. No more shopping here. Individual lowe's can allow dogs on leashes into the store, this one does! While in line at the return desk, a doberman pincher lunged at another person in line with teeth bared and startled everyone. The owner was busy returning an item and not paying attention to the dog. The leash stopped the attack but just by a few feet. The manager told me it was store policy to allow dogs in and was not her decision. The people here are pleasant and the prices are good. Not worth shopping with aggressive dog breeds on the prowl. read more

Also important there is absolutely no pressure when considering a purchase. Best of all was the Installation of the carpet. Lowe's uses Daniel Molina of Daniel's Floor Covering. They were fantastic having arrived exactly on time and doing a quality instillation. All in all I could not be more pleased. Very frustrating going into the store on a recent weekday at about 5 pm. Impossible to find anyone to ask some basic questions, after repeated requests, asking several times at the customer service desk, spending over 45 minutes there. Eventually, a man came over and it seemed that he would rather be plucking out his eyelashes than even attempt to take a stab at answering any of my questions. There were several other customers who were also patiently waiting. He was not knowledgeable, and the employee did not care at all. There was only one guy at the customer service desk, he clearly needed assistance, and was doing a great job with at least six customers behind me and the phone was just ringing off the hook. Empire Today is Pricey, Pricey, Pricey. Unfortunately, it was too expensive for me. I was quoted $13,000 for 1400 square feet of their 25 year no wear carpet. $8,000 was the quote for installing 445 square feet of ceramic tile. Sales rep was okay and stated the quotes were based on their 50% off sale. She was just a little disappointed when I told her the carpet job was worth $6,000 and the tile around $3,000. All this after a two hours sales pitch. Tomorrow, I will give Lowe's a try in Voorhees, NJ. Update- A few days later, I purchased a 25 year no wear Stainmaster carpet from Lowe's for $4,800 install price. The Ceramic tile install was more than expected at $6,000 with all the supplies but I decided to go with it. No sales pitch, just facts. It was a pleasure. read more

Just moved into my new home a little over a month ago so my trips to Home depot, and Lowes have been frequent, and I am talking about multiple trips a day because i fail to remember everything I need at one time. Was in the Market for a grill and I narrowed it down to the one I wanted. The wife however wasn't going to be satisfied until she was able to put her hands on it. The store in Maple Shade is a little disorganized in my opinion. The selection of grills is ok. We took a trip down to the Voorhees store and it just seems as if their outdoor area is just a tad bit more organized where you can look and compare. Our grill was not in the store, but the same one without the side burner was. My wife was content with the amount of grill space and design and we put the order in, right then and there for delivery. Had I ordered it online at the Mapleshade store, it wasn't scheduled to arrive at the store until the 8th of May, and I would have to wait a few more days for delivery. I ordered my grill last Sunday April 28th, and received it this past Saturday, May 4th. There were some issues with the delivery. There was a dent in the base. The store gave us back $65, they even offered $75 back. They also forgot to provide us with the grease pans. No big deal, but it forced me to go back to the store on a Sunday when I had other things to do and once you go to the store you know you are not walking out of there with something you really didn't need. Overall the store is nicer, brighter, and well kept. read more

Voorhees worst store, every time I'm in area my project comes to a grinding halt! 1 . Remodeled my personal home, kids room , kitchen and bathrooms . Kitchen design team was sitting there on there phones and wouldn't help us with simple island layout for in stock cabinets unless we had appointment . 2. Oven they had on sale first day did not exist in company so I asked for display and if there was any discount for it being scratched only for lady to loudly say "why should I discount it you want it that's the price " left went to depo at my house 3 days instock . 3 BEST ONE , my mother returned $34 dollars out of 12k I spent in 6 months items were sample tile for kitchen , she returned them and gave me gift card n receipt I went in and they will not honor card cause i didn't return items ! Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had. I employed this particular Lowes to install carpet throughout my home. Within a year an half, the carpet started to buckle. The warranty was only good through 1 year, and so Lowes did nothing to help me to decrease my dissatisfaction in the carpet installation. Now it is coming up in every room of the house and looks terrible. This is the fault of the Lowes installer alone, and not due to any negligence on my part or my family's. Yet, Lowes did not take any responsibility in their installation failure, and I was told my only option would be to pay for someone else to restretch our carpets, at a significant cost to me. I am sorely disappointed that I gave Lowes so much of my money and trust to install my carpets incorrectly. I would never recommend Lowes to anyone in the future after this experience. read more
