Went now trying to find someone to help me search for something the lady called few time not one person showed up to help so after about 10 min I went to the customer service she said I think only one person working because it's Sunday and he might be in lunch so if you come tomorrow will be better. Let me recap the attempt to purchase a dishwasher from this location - in synopsis, Lowe's does not actually want to deal with a customer service issue or change the way they deceptively advertise, potentially rising to the level of age discrimination. I attempted to assist my mother in purchasing a dishwasher online. You may notice "get it by Feb 5th" is declared followed by - in small print below at the bottom "schedule delivery date & time in checkout" in the advertising web page. Attorney General of Florida Ashley Moody please take note - the date offered is not attached to actual inventory control or awareness of actual inventory stock on hand. Through multiple phone calls to customer service, the "installation team" and store management - in particular ASM A.J. and Lupe - complicit in perpetuating the deception and not willing to actually solve the problem - or involve another member of management who might have been able to assist. After ordering the dishwasher on or about January 20th - with the Lowe's webpage for my order declaring "5 available" and "get it by Jan 31" - the date suddenly changed to February 3rd. The next day I woke up to an email stating delivery would now be March 3rd. I went back to the order confirmation email - and after I ended up purchasing a comparable dishwasher from local appliance retailer Basil's - I attempted to cancel the Lowe's order using the "manage my order" button in the email body - which, directed me to a "page does not exist" error. This is the true definition of bait and switch. This was not the case where I received timely, accurate communication about my purchase - and certainly NO ONE in the entire chain of command at Lowe's was willing to step up and do the right thing - not once, not twice, not three times, not four times, not five times - to rescue the sale of a $599 mid-grade dishwasher for a widowed 77 year old woman living alone. Luckily - I had time to handle all of this for my mom, and as stated above, simply do what I should have done in the first place - and buy local. If this is not criminal behavior - bait and switch, preying on the elderly, utilizing deceptive advertising practices and a systemic failure on the part of Lowe's as I repeatedly stated to EVERY SINGLE PERSON I SPOKE WITH that I needed to receive a call back from someone in a position of authority to rectify this matter - at the very least, this is a case study on how not to treat the citizens of Venice and the surrounding neighborhoods, and the reasons why I emplore you to reach out to local government officials if you have been treated similarly by Lowe's and Lowe's associates or management - at the very least, please shop elsewhere. read more

Seeing the store only stocks high end advantech you have to order 3/4 osb tongue and groove and pay a $79 delivery fee !! So I decided to try it and also get my Sheetrock on a job I'm just starting. First thing is when I placed order it was saying Friday May 12th but after placing order and submitting it switched to Monday the 15 th . No notice from them until late Sunday nite . As you can see by the order all 6 sheets of OSB were damaged making installation difficult plus no receipt was given so no way to fill out their survey!! After spending close to $1000 dollars in the last 2 weeks I will no longer shop there (spend $400 yesterday at Home Depot ) . I do several remodels a year and just bought in this area so good by Lowe's !! read more

This place is terrible, we bought a refrigerator, but they can't lift it 3 feet over a counter, they refuse, and it took 3 days to get them here to do it, and I paid extra for them to do it and take it away... So now I have to find someone to help get it in my kitchen... Their explanation was stupid and non-valid... the other fridge we got the guys had no issues putting it in... Today, 8/27/24 I attempted to call Lowes in Venice Florida, to place an order for an order only kitchen sink. I was routed to an individual who redirected me to customer service. The phone continued to ring for just under an hour where people would pick it up and retransfer it. I actually went as far as calling on a second phone and the same thing happened. When I finally got a 'pretend" manager on the phone, she would not give me her last name, she would not provide me any information other than her first name as Lupe, and she was very snide in her responses and very condescending. Up until now, I did all my house and yard improvements at Lowes. I really thought they were better than some other choices, but based on this alone, I will never give another penny of my business to them, and I am making a formal complaint with Lowes corporate on their bullying tactics towards the elderly and posting a national story on the event's that transpire involving the Lowe's chain of stores as there are many. Lots of ugliness transpiring from Lowes toward the elderly. I have pictures, one I attached below showing how long I was just being circulated around and I recorded the conversation with the alleged manager who picked up after 1 hour, who refused to provide me with her last name, but who stated her first name was lupe and she would not transfer me to a senior level executive so I could make a complaint. I ultimately placed the order elsewhere and it took 5 minutes, but I will make sure this gets to the highest level. Lowes should really reevaluate this employee and those working on this particular day. If someone doesn't want to work, why should they take a salary away from someone else? read more

So I had a can of paint that I needed to get tinted. I walked up to the counter that was labeled to order paint. In front of me was a device that indicated I should press it for service. I apologize if I should have known that the sign was a lie. I pressed the button. My mistake, I guess. Soon, Frank approached, took the device away and said, "Can't you see we're busy helping other people?" I suppose he would have been happier if I had visited Home Depot instead of bothering him. I purchased a refrigerator from Lowe's with the delivery date for this weekend. Took everything out of the old refrigerator and put into coolers with packed ice. Had about 15 coolers and bags. Lowes delivers the refrigerator and tells me I need to call a plumber to have a waterline put in I have a waterline put in for my current refrigerator. they haul the new refrigerator away back on the truck to Lowe's. I called Mike Douglas plumber and told him the problem. He asked if this was from Lowe's and I said yes he said I am the second customer to call about the same issue. So now I had to take everything that I took out of the fridge to put into Styrofoam coolers waiting to put into the new fridge and had to put everything back into the old fridge. After trying to call Lowe's to ask them to bring the new refrigerator back as the plumber is on his way, they tell me they cannot do that. I have to reschedule for another delivery day. I told them to cancel , the order and refund my money. I will never deal with Lowe's again for any reason whatsoever. Am suggesting that everybody boycott this horrible company! read more

We have spent $13,000 on new windows ordered from Lowe's which were installed at a condo in Venice. It is taking four months to finalize the inspection. Felt that was not right and since I had found the error she felt it was only fair that they honor the original price. I had 2 separate deliveries, one a riding lawnmower with no manual, key and looked like it was refurbished that I went back to the store to get a different lawnmower delivered and this one picked up. Today I had a charbroiled commercial tru-infeared 4 burner grill delivered that didn't work. The wires to the igniter were just hanging inside the grill and the igniter doesn't engage. I have been a loyal Lowes customer for years and prefer them over Home Depot, but I'm starting to change my mind. The assembly of products is quite lacking in proficiency and efficiency. I will never use Lowe's again. I went in to get an estimate for a new door back in March. The contractor called and gave a date to come to my home for the estimate. He never showed up. He claimed he went to the house next door. But I questioned why didn't he call me to explain why he couldn't find the house. So moving on, he finally came out. He measured the door and said Lowe's will contact me about the price. Lowe's called me and I paid for it. Then come to find out. They double charged me the the purchase. It became an ongoing battle trying to get my money refunded. I finally got the double charge refunded with my bank. So then, I finally got a call from the contractor back in April. He scheduled a date April 12th between 1-3pm to come out and install the door. I took the day off from work. Do you know This man was a NO CALL NO SHOW. I never heard back from him. I called the number he called me from, and I never got a response. I called Lowe's to inform them of the situation. They told me they wasn't sure why he never showed up and they will find out and call me. I never got a call from Lowe's. Fast Forward. Today is now 5/12/2023. I STILL DO NOT HAVE A DOOR INSTALLED. I called the store again and spoke to a manager, he advised me to call their installation department. No one ever gave me that number before. So now, I am playing the waiting game to receive a call to know when they can come out to install my door. This has got to be the most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with. I cannot believe they would do that to a Paying Customer! I am Not happy about this. I did file a complaint to their customer service. If anything, they should be installing this door for Free. This Lowe's is the same as all the rest of the Lowe's across the country, so I didn't have any trouble finding the departments to do my shopping, HOWEVER, I did have quite a bit of difficulty with them being out of stock on several items on my shopping list. This, coupled with a very rude employee on the telephone during the call I made before I went there, prevent me from being able to rate this particular Lowe's any higher. I cheerfully went to Lowes for a few items.  As I was shopping the overhead announcement said to "keep social distancing as you shop and check out".  I thought This is great, it's a responsible and pro-active company action. When I went to check out however they had the two open registers side by side. I casually mentioned to the cashier that if the registers are open side by side people are about 1-2 ft apart and it would be better to do every other register. He looked mad/annoyed and so I said could you please get a Manager. He grabbed a woman named Jen, who I then repeated my concern.  She was immediately annoyed & very defensive and started making excuses in a condescending tone: "Well we're short handed and I'm training these 2." I could tell I was wasting my time so replied that then perhaps they shouldn't be announcing the warning when it's not possible. She then rolled her eyes, shrugged and walked away!! I couldn't believe her complete lack of customer service skills and overall rudeness! I left and once in my car, being quite angry, I decided to call the store Manager. I called 5x over a half hour period and was disconnected each time after going thru all the prompts!  I then drove around to the side of the store to the open bay where pickup is (and being disabled and not wanting to leave my car again I sat there and tried to get an employee to help me) and parked directly in front of the open door. I watched as 3 different employees wandered around chatting to each other and yet deliberately ignored my waves and calls for a Manager.  Finally I got thru on the phone & they said "he's gone for the day" so they put me thru to a Assist. Mngr. I went over what occured, w him interrupting numerous times w an annoyed rude attitude, and when I was finished his comments to me were extremely rude, condescending, sarcastic and belligerent.  He said "Well, we're short staffed and employees arent coming in which is their right, and I'm not going to correct or address this because you didn't Like something!" I replied its not a case of "not liking" an answer, its a matter of being spoken to in a condescending, insulting, dismissive  manner.  I then asked him why I should spend another $15,000 in Lowes when I'm treated with such obvious disrespect and lack of courtesy?  His response "I'm sorry YOU aren't happy but there's nothing I can do!"  That ended the call. I then followed up with a call to Lowes corporate and never heard from them so I guess that speaks volumes!  Attitudes and behaviors come from the top, so I guess this type of customer service is how they roll!! Wonderful staff in Indoor Garden and Customer Service! Stopped in just before my trip to RI to order Patio Furniture. Keith of Indoor Garden went out of his way to ensure we were completely satisfied with our selection. Our selection of lounge chairs was out of stock, he searched stores along RT 95 to see if any stores had them. No luck, but a call to the 800# when I reached RI resulting in them finding two in Arkansas and having the store ship them to my Fl. address! Pam in Customer Sevice was also great as my wallet was in my daughter's car on RT95 in New Jersey heading to RI. She was able to ID me, find my account, and ensure I received the special financing offer I received in the mail. All in all a great experience that I will be sure to pass on. read more

After leaving a disaster at Home Depot where we weren't allowed to take a washer home with us on the same day, we went to this Lowe's. Not only did they have the same washer at the same price, but by the time we got done applying for a credit card, the man in appliances had already wheeled out a brand new washer, in the box, for us to take home!! To top it off, I sat out front of the store with it as I waited for him to get the truck, and out of nowhere, a Lowe's employee came out and helped him load it up! We didn't even ask for help. Ordered a toilet Kohler #3851-0 online on Feb. 28th. Estimated delivery 3/4. No mention that this was a "special order ". Contacted online customer service on3/6 after not being notified of a delay. Was told it was a special order and would not be delivered until 4/13 !!! Requested a discount since I feel I was not only mislead, but this was also a major inconvenience. Was offered a whole 10% off on a future purchase ! This is NOT customer service and there will NOT be any future purchases !!! Was contacted by the assistant store manager in Venice, Fl. store. No apologies, just kept repeating that they don't give any discount when an item is delayed just because the customer has been inconvenienced. Also mentioned that it might not even arrive by the 4/13 date ! Look at their website, it still shows that if you order the item now, you'll receive it within a week ! They continue to lie about delivery time AND customer service is non existent !!! read more
