Just downsized to a condo. Total reno. This is the fourth kitchen we have renovated so I have some experience in the matter. Our last kitchen was, what I thought, high-end cherry cabinets, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Obviously I did not even know about Cabinets To Go at the time. While the fronts were beautiful, the boxes were particle board. Out of sight, out of mind is not a good thing. We had contacted a cabinet manufacturer in the Tampa Bay area first. A rep came down and measured the kitchen and prepared a quote and floor plan based on his measurements with three upgrade choices, one of which was all wood boxes. He kind of poo-poo'd choice but still quoted with that option. We then discover CTG and they had a store in Sarasota. Wife and I go in on a Saturday and was assisted by Laura. It was clear she knew cabinets from top to bottom. Guess what... all their cabinets are plywood boxes. With in minutes the wife finds the perfect cabinet that fit her vision. Can't argue with a woman with a vision. Laura prepared a quote based on the measurements from the other cabinet company. Shame on me. I didn't check his measurements and the front wall was wrong. So the cabinets were ordered and arrived in less time than what we expected. GREAT! It only took about 10 hours to assemble all the cabinets. I love doing that kind of thing. It keeps off the golf course. The packaging was great. No damages. Instructions were easy to follow and after the first cabinet I didn't need them. Very simple to assemble plus Laura gave me some tips that were very helpful. I was a little concerned about how square and plumb the finished cabinet would be but all were perfect. But now I'm faced with hanging the cabinets. This will be a first for me. I have a friend that installs but he couldn't find time to help. I could have used one of CTG's trusted contractors but I forged ahead after watching scores of You Tube videos. Brother... it's not rocket surgery (nor brain science). This was the perfect chance to give my 15 year old grandson some life experience. He loved it and had the install done in just over a day. How did it turn out? BEAUTIFUL!!! We discovered the measuring error and had to order the correct two upper cabinets and they arrived quickly. Know we are waiting for the granite company to deliver the countertops and could not be happier. Living in a condo community all our neighbors knew we redid the kitchen and are asking to see the finished product. Look out Laura. You will be seeing at least two neighbors that are going to remodel their kitchens. By the way, the Tampa company's quote on all wood boxes with easy close doors and drawers was over double the Cabinets To Go price. Cabinets To Go is the only place I will ever consider for any cabinet needs in the future and the two upper cabinets from the mismeasure; they will be used in the dining room for a china cabinet / buffet. Thank you, thank you, thank you! read more

I would avoid using this store based on my recent experience. After placing a $10,000 cabinet order, customer service was essentially nonexistent. I paid for CTG's in-house contractor to measure my kitchen. Unfortunately, the store's employee, Simon, measured the floor plan incorrectly, which ultimately caused significant issues with the cabinet configuration that CTG recommended and sold to me. Because I had already witnessed an installer from their team incorrectly install cabinets for a neighbor, I decided to hire my own contractor to assemble and install the cabinets to ensure the work was done properly. However, after assembly began, it became clear that the cabinet configuration needed to be changed due to the original measurement errors. When I raised this issue with CTG store in Sarasota, the responsibility was shifted entirely onto my installer, with the claim that he "should have known better to remeasure before installing." This was frustrating, especially since I had paid CTG specifically to provide accurate measurements and guidance prior to purchasing the cabinets. To make matters worse, several cabinet frames arrived damaged. Fortunately, my contractor was able to use his woodworking skills to repair them on-site. Otherwise, the project would have been delayed at least a week. Even now, I am still waiting for correctly sized replacement cabinets so the installation can be completed properly in which they think I am paying an additional $1k for THEIR mistake. I have escalated this issue to corporate, who were alot more understanding and told me that that is not how they want their stores to operate. I'm waiting to hear if they are going to take responsibility for their mistake, but I have lost all respect from this business here in Sarasota anyways. Overall, the lack of accountability and post-purchase support from the Sarasota location was very disappointing. Based on this experience, I would recommend considering other retailers, such as Lowe's, where customer service and support may be more reliable after the sale. read more

It's not the cabinets, it's customer service which has led to this negative review. I have a disability. When we placed the order we stressed, repeatedly, that I needed the microwave cabinet over the stove to be lower, just as the previous over the stove cabinet had been mounted. We told them the height so that the over the stove cabinet would be correctly done. It was not. Cabinets were installed and I was informed by the installer that NO licensed installer would mount the microwave as we specified. At no time prior to delivery were we notified of this issue. Had they communicated with us, we could have altered the cabinet layout. HOWEVER, the cabinet could have been installed several inches lower and I was willing to accept that compromise as I feel I could reach the microwave at 18" height rather than the 16" we asked for if they had just told us before installation. What is so horrible is that first I was told they would fix this as I had stressed this was their error. Then James Schmidutz said that they could get us another cabinet for over the stove. When I pointed out that would be a fire hazard and noted he ignored the "no licensed contractor would install a microwave that low over the stove", he did not respond. From that time NO one from Cabinets to Go has responded to my contact efforts. Lack of Cabinets To Go communication created this problem and lack of communication has made it worse. Based on this it seems that they have no interest in customer service especially since they have our money. It's been 2 months since the initial installation and a month since they began ignoring my communications. read more

Differentiating the choices in the kitchen cabinet space was one of the most confusing and perplexing aspects of our house remodel. We were very intent on getting a quality product, but the prices we were getting on our modestly sized kitchen were shocking. After extensive research, we chose Cabinets To Go as our source for kitchen cabinets in a remodel we completed over a year ago. We feel that the quality, value and service has been exceptional. Our experience was so good that we went back to them to add a pantry and laundry room cabinets on another phase of our home improvements that we just completed. James, the store manager, has been terrific over multiple interactions. He and his team of designers have always been great when we had to troubleshoot different issues, and they spent a lot of time making sure we had the right design for our needs. This store is one of the top 3 in the country in terms of sales- a testament to how good the product and service are. I strongly encourage consumers to go into the store and meet with a designer in person as opposed to going back and forth over the phone. Having the face to face interaction really made the difference in getting the help I needed in a timely manner. read more

Shopped around for a new kitchen for our Rental unit, so we were a price sensitive customer. We had heard a lot of good about Cabinets to Go and when in to check them out. Sherie was very helpful, and we went with their white shaker styled cabinets. We were amazed at all their premium features like soft close cabinets & drawers that fully open and have jointed corners. We felt like we should shop the big box home stores, when we talked to their kitchen people the basically said THEY COULD NOT COMPETE WITH CABINETS TO GO. Not only was the Cabinets to Go's quality superior but the delivery time could not be matched We got our cabinets in 8 days (and that was over New Years week) vs. over a month at HD. They arranged install through their independent contractor Gator Dave Harper, who is a true craftsman. He worked with our schedule and installed our cabinets on a Saturday. Bottom line we had our new kitchen bought and installed in just 11 days. VERY HAPPY with quality and service. Save time, go here first and forget shopping big box stores. Cabinets to Go can not be beat. read more

I bought my cabinets and had them installed by Cabinets To Go in Sarasots , Fla. I couldn't have asked for a better group to work with. From planning and sales with Shari to installation by Dave Harper.Shari helped my wife and I navigate the cabinet choices , layout options , and understand the installation process and timeline. Price was fair and included everything we communicated on. Now to to installation: Dave Harper is the comumate professional. He is knowledgeable, approachable , and his skill set is beyond what I am use to with contractors. The finished product was beautiful. A testament to his skills. I would be remiss not mentioning Dave's stepson who worked alongside Dave during the installation. He is on track to be as skillful a craftsman as Dave. Doesn't hurt learning from a master. If my two installers are any indication what direction Cabinets To Go is heading. I beleave they have long bright future. I also want to thank store manager James at the Sarasota Store. He was there every time I had questions or concerns. It all begins a good manager. Thanks James. read more

For 2 years I researched what type of cabinets I wanted for my kitchen. Just not finding what I wanted, a business associate suggested Cabinets To Go. I looked at their website and found EXACTLY what type of cabinets I was looking for. Went in to their store and initially sat down with James to get the basics then wonderful Sharie finished up with the design and quoting. The cabinets I wanted were a brand new product they offered and I was advised at time I placed order that it may be a 2 month lead time. That was no problem for me as I was willing to wait to get what I wanted! It was well worth the wait! Dave came out and installed them and he did a fabulous job!! Since Sharie was so great to work with, I also had both of my bathrooms vanities replaced and ordered counters for Kitchen and Bathrooms. All of this still within my budget. Sharie, James, Dave and the rest of the team were always very helpful and friendly!! If I ever move into different house, I will definitely use Cabinets To Go again! read more

We had a really good experience with everyone at CTG. Our rep was Shari and she was patient and very helpful with the designing process. It is drawn on a CAD program that you can see on a tv screen as she building it. We had so much fun doing the "what if" portion. We had several meetings to be sure it was exactly what we wanted. It turned out to match the program drawings and we are thrilled. We hired their contractor Dave to install the cabinets and he did a great job. There were a few minor punch list items and when we called Dave, he came back within a day, at most, to fix them. The granite counter tops are really, really great. I can't believe 2 guys carried those very, very heavy pieces of stone up over a flight of stairs to get to our condo! These guys are amazing! After it was completed, I was staring at the kitchen one evening. My husband asked if I was going to stay up all night just looking at the kitchen.....my reply.....yes! We highly recommend CTG for your kitchen makeover. read more

When we were looking for cabinets for our mobile home, we were looking for quality, custom fit, and customer care. We received all of that and more at Cabinets to Go Sarasota! Sharie, the designer, came to our home and maximized the space we had with loads of storage and a pleasing design! After picking the cabinets up, my husband and I easily unloaded them and stacked them in our sun room until we were ready to assemble each one. The videos on the website made assembly easy to understand and except for the lazy susan, which took a little extra time, we had each cabinet assembled in less than 20 minutes! We had an issue with one cabinet, but when we returned to the store, Matthew took care of assembling the cabinet within minutes! Each person in the store was friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming! I would highly recommend Cabinets to Go in Sarasota! We are extremely happy with their product and service! Jeanne VDH read more

I was recently referred by a neighbor who highly recommended Cabinets To Go. He purchased their cabinets for two different kitchen renovations. After a very pleasant design and planning consultation with an associate I purchased a full kitchen in Malibu White. The savings were terrific and I could not be happier with the product in relation to the price. There was no problem with the promised delivery date and pick-up was made easy with their assistance. I found my interactions with James, the manager, and his associate, Bob, to be both very friendly and professional. I can't emphasize enough how important good communication is in planning and purchasing a new kitchen and these gentlemen are very skilled in that department. I would recommend Cabinets To Go - Sarasota to anyone who is looking for the best value in kitchen and bath cabinets! read more

"I would like to thank the service I received at the store # 502 Sarasota - Fl. This is the second time we bought from Cabinets to go with James Schmidutz for projects in my home. We need to highlight something: James Schmidutz, he was perfect, spent time with us, helped out a lot with the design, color choice and showed us so many possibilities. We ordered the cabinets we needed with a plus!!!. So were gratefully happy by his help, patience and knowledge. Now, we are happy to send our clients to him. It's extremely important to feel safe in referring, because we are confident in the quality of the cabinets and the knowledge of James Schmidutz. He can help my clients to make theirs project become a reality. Also the new look of the store and the graphic design on the computer causes a tremendous impact. Thanks, James Schmidutz!" read more

I had been in the store about 2 yrs before I decided to purchase my cabinets. I'd recommended them to a friend who loved them. When it came time to do mine, I met with Becky. It was like talking to an old friend. She listened to my ideas, asked appropriate questions, showed me samples, let me take samples home, and was there for me the entire time. We had to make some modifications to my original ideas, but she gave me excellent guidance and was very patient. My kitchen looks even more awesome than I expected and everyone who sees it is jealous. I didn't order upscale items, but it is amazing and I enjoy using it every day and it has enriched my life. I am very grateful to Becky for her professionalism, honesty, integrity, and kindness. I couldn't more highly recommend anyone. read more

My husband and I made several trips to Cabinets to go, each visit was the same, EXCELLENT customer service from James. He was patient and had many suggestions to assist. James thought about the items we would need, that we either didn't know we would need or forgot. He kept us on track. We ordered the Manhatten Graphite, absolutely gorgeous! We fell in love with these cabinets at first sight. The quality was top notch. Every person I came in contact with at the store was knowledgeable and assisted with any question I had, so a shout out to Becky and Tyler. All three of you make a great team. I highly recommend this store and have told all my friends and relatives where to go when you need quality cabinets fast with superior customer service. read more

I must admit that I was skeptical in dealing with CTG after reading the reviews, but I would like to say that I am very glad that I purchased my cabinets from this company. I dealt with James and was up front about my skepticism in my initial visit to the store. James assured me that i would not be disappointed with my purchase and the service I received. He fulfilled his promise to me and I couldn't be more satisfied. The cabinets are beautiful and came in at the anticipated time. James went above and beyond making my purchase run smoothly. I HIGHLY recommend that you check with James before buying your cabinets elsewhere. GREAT PRODUCT AT A FANTASTIC PRICE. Linda Martin, Bradenton, Florida. read more

Robert La Courciere and James Schmidutz are both excellent to work with. There were a few minor scratches upon delivery, but Customer Service went over and beyond to ship out replacements via FEDEX and were courteous and showed true concern that their customers were happy. What impressed me most is when a former installer of CTG left a seam showing in my countertop, Bob & James never left me hanging or having to deal with it on my own. They made sure to send a new company out to correct the problem, and I couldn't be more thrilled. My cabinets and countertops are beautiful and I finally have my dream kitchen. Thank you, Bob and James for making dreams come true! Karen read more

I have worked with CTG on a past project (flip house), so they were a natural choice when it came time to remodel my own kitchen. The quality of the cabinets must really irritate the competitor!! James, the manager, has been the driving source at that location for a long time, and that is comforting in this ever changing world marketplace. I like that he is the guy who will be there, standing behind their product. Bob (my designer) is an asset to the team. He is very knowledgeable and adheres to what the customer requests. If you shop around, you will discover the benefit of using Cabinets To Go!! You won't be dissatisfied, I know because I am picky!! Kim read more

Terrible experience. I hired Cabinets to Go to install kitchen cabinets in a rental unit. I purchased upgraded cabinets at a premium price. The installers left me with a mess. One of the drawer glides was not installed, one of the drawers was not installed on the glide, one of the drawers came apart, one of the shelves was not installed. I tried 3 times by email and telephone to get Cabinets to Go to come back and repair their unfinished mess. No response. I had to hire another cabinet company to come and finish the job, it cost me an additional $300.00. I would NEVER use Cabinets to Go. Terrible workmanship and terrible customer service. read more

My cabinets came out perfect! Matt at the store was absolutely wonderful. They came out measured our house had a design ready for us within a week. He sat down with us and explained the design and answered all of our questions. After placing our order for our kitchen the installer came out and verified the measurements... found out we needed a couple extra pieces of trim to complete the job. But as soon as my cabinets came in my kitchen and bath were installed in a week. My wife and I couldn't be any happier! I would definitely recommend everyone to stop by and see Matt and the rest of the team for any remodel project!!!! read more

I was so lucky to shop with Cabinets to Go. I started a total remodel of my kitchen starting the middle of March, 2019. Cabinets, Flooring and Countertops. Everything worked out so well and less than 4 weeks later it was all done. I am thrilled with the way it turned out. Friends of mine previously remodeled their kitchen and it sounded like a nightmare to me,I myself had none of that. I was very much pleased with the prices whether it was for the cabinets, flooring and Quartz Countertops. Special mention goes to June and James, the manager for good old fashioned service . Excellent !!! Can only recommend highly. read more
