My basket of stuff that I wish I had bought somewhere else...

I come here a lot... Decided to buy pavers here to make sure they matched what I already had even though they were. Little bit cheaper at Home Depot. When h walked in I mentioned that I would be buying over 100 pavers. They asked if we needed help and I said yes. My nephew and I lodes up 200 pavers. 2 guys came by, shrugged that we were in their way. Went around us, and never offered assistance. 100 paver = ZERO discount!!! What in the hell is the "my Lowe's" reward they ask me about every time I come in here, then? No help, no discount, no more business from me. There are other items I need but I will be going to the Home Depot from now on.

I recently had to buy a new washing machine because the I had had decided it was going to burn up its motherboard. The cost to replace that made it more cost effective to buy a new washing machine. Since I had a Samsung washer and dryer pair, I decided to shop only for a Samsung replacement. Well I happened to find a great deal on a unit that was brand new and had all the features I wanted plus other features I didn't know I didn't want at the time. This was a washing machine at Lowe's... A place I frequent nearly every day. After applying a $100 coupon, I was excited to take delivery of the new washing machine. In the meantime, my husband (who tends to do much more of the laundry than I do) ended up going out of the country for work. That weekend, the Lowe's third-party contractor team showed up and installed the unit but apparently forgot to flush the lines first and they ended up hooking the hoses up to the wrong temperatures. The hot was connected to the cold and the cold was connected to the hot. No I didn't actually notice that until I went to run a load about three days later. Using the manual I read how to flush the lines and that's when I discovered that they were miss attached to the washing machine and I fixed it. Well about 10 minutes into the first load the machine shut off giving me an error warning about the water supply not being fully activated or something like that. Since I never heard the machine turn off, I never noticed and let the clothes sit in the wet unfinished cycle until about two days later when I thought I should check the washing machine. lol Remember, I said I don't do much of the laundry since my husband prefers to do it. This is probably the reason. Where my husband ended up coming back home a week or so later he tried to do laundry using the new machine and kept getting the error messages like I did. Something was wrong so we called Samsung and explain to them what happened. Samsung told us that because it was still within the first two weeks... Literally was one week and six days since it had been delivered... That I had to go through Lowe's in order to have the machine exchanged or returned. Not sure why Samsung was so quick to dismiss having a service call and instead suggested I might consider just returning the washing machine through Lowes. Going forward, I will never buy a large appliance from Lowe's again if it's only got a 48 hour return window. I mean...It took Lowe's LONGER than 48 hours to get the thing delivered!

The showroom is humongous and has more options than anyone can imagine! We had an appointment with Christina. She led our designers and us through a vast array of faucets, bathroom fixtures, sinks, etc. over a 2-hour stay. Her knowledge base was rock solid. She did a great job of keeping us within our budget. She worked well with the design team to find products that would fit into our home. Several times, she came up with novel ideas or better options. My wife and I left confident and pleased with our choices. A couple of days later, we received an e-mail with a well organized PDF portfolio that showed all of our choices with photos, stock numbers, and prices. OVERALL: EXCELLENT. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Although your showroom was beautiful, the lady at the front desk with the short strawberry blonde hair and the scowl on her face was the rudest person I have ever encountered and I cannot believe that you would have someone like that representing such a well known company with your reputation. Especially at the front desk greeting people. She was curt and just out right hateful. I knew I needed an appointment already, and I told her that, but I wanted to walk around to see what y'all had to offer and she was not nice about it, like I was inconveniencing her altogether. Such a shame. I ended up walking around for a minute because I was so mad at how she treated me and I left. I told my builder I will buy elsewhere. Really need to do a better job with her.

Literally swinging for the fences in my opinion on our kitchen remodel. Subzero fridge, Wolf range, Bosch dishwasher, Ice machine, everything you could imagine or desire. The sky was the limit. Our first and only visit was to FBS. The rep was very helpful with her time. I'm not going to mention her name, because before all the dust settles, you'll want to avoid FBS and her at all costs. With a quote of $50k I felt it prudent to at least give Ferguson an opportunity to match the offer, they did, it was literally $200 cheaper......HOWEVER, we still went with FBS because they were generous with their time and felt it was justified. One thing I failed to notice between the two bids was that Ferguson included a discount from Wolf of 5% for multiple items, BUT also included installation. The two figures were so close they cancelled each other out, so quickly glancing at the bottom line of the two bids, you would assume they were competitive......wrong. A few weeks later my contractor mentioned he didn't actually install the appliances, so when I reached out to FBS, I was told it would be an additional $1,600.00. That's when I realized there was an issue. I shared the bid from Ferguson and asked how they could be different. It turns out the sales rep at FBS was "unaware" of how the promotion worked. The rep who is supposed to know these things, doesn't understand them. Ignorance? Incompetence? Greed? Not sure, and quite frankly it doesn't matter. Ultimately they awarded me the discount I was originally entitled to. I wish this was the end of their failures.....but, it continued. All along, our installation was agreed to be mid-May. No firm date was given, just a WAG....when I notified them of the upcoming delivery date they mentioned the need for a walk-through beforehand. A walkthrough? I had never heard of such a thing, but this was my first experience with high end appliances.....so the walk-through occurred in mid-May with a delivery now scheduled for late May......mind you, we've been without a kitchen for 10 weeks.....we were super excited but figured another two weeks, we would just have to make it work.....finally, the day of delivery. Felt like Christmas morning.....appliances.....but, when the installers arrived, they couldn't install anything. None of the items that had been pointed out during the walk through had been addressed. NOBODY at FBS brought the formal deficiencies to our attention. Nobody. Should my contractor have been present during the walkthrough, in hindsight, yes. But that still doesn't absolve FBS for not following through. They even admit they "dropped the ball". Literally anything and everything that could have gone wrong with FBS did. I have no idea if we are the exception or the rule. I would think $50k in appliances would get us a bit of street credibility and in the end we were treated like we were picking up a handful of items off of Facebook Marketplace. I would avoid using them for anything. Period. Their sales staff lacks the knowledge I would argue is requisite and expected for high-end appliance sales. Their communication is virtually non-existent. I'm planning to file a complaint with Wolf/Subzero after this review posts.

Ordered back in early September and they were suppose to deliver on the 27th of October. And neither of us have a fridge in the homes that we are at. Well, they called yesterday and said for unseen circumstances they won't be delivered until November 22nd. 2 DAYS BEFORE Thanksgiving!!!! So we needed a fridge FAST!! So off we went and found American Frieght in San Antonio. We were greeted by the nicest salesperson Rita! She is a dream. She helped us look for exactly what we needed. And could get us a delivery in 2 days. Since we would eventually get our other fridges we thought we could buy smaller ones that would eventually go in our laundry rooms. Rita was just great. She wrote up both our orders, but there was a gal that came in after us, but her order got done first and took the last spot for a Friday delivery. This is where Rita did her best to help us out. She got the manager to come over and because they knew our situation with my daughter and her 3 little babies that we needed a fridge ASAP!! Jeremy did his magic and got us a delivery for the next day on Thursday! We couldn't of been more happy. Thank you Rita and Jeremy for being such great people. We will do all of our appliance shopping here from now on. Oh and P.S. Rita gave us some great places to go and to eat. We aren't from here so we had such a nice conversation with her and got some great advice.
