It definitely appears that the experience (good or bad) you have is going to be based many times on the one or two people you encounter when shopping at just about any store. My experience with a sales agent at the Pro-desk, Wes Adams was excellent. I'm a first-time shed builder and had been gathering a lot of information using AI, I know, I know, but I use it mainly to get ideas then run them past those who have had experience in those fields. Wes (has considerable experience in construction) and asked me if I needed any help, so I told him what I was doing and needed some expert advice on a couple of things, and as usual, I was overthinking a lot of it. Wes simplified what I was attempting to accomplish and it all finally made perfect sense to me. I ended up purchasing just north of $800 dollars of product from Lowes and my project now is turning out great! Couldn't have done it without his advice. Thanks Wes. Who ever the hiring manager is should be moved somewhere else because he is clearly not a good fit for that position. I am basing my review on years of coming to Lowes. The most basic of questions gets you the deer in the headlights look. Now I do know that it's difficult to find younger people that have experience in the building industry because of all of the time spent doing meaningless tasks like video games and taking selfie. I have been coming here for a long time but after today I won't be coming back. I came into get some glass cut. And I waited OVER AN HOUR!! Waiting for someone to help me. I had them call multiple times because I don't like spending an hour doing nothing but waiting. Then the guy shows up and is super rude. And he told me the couldn't cut it because the glass was tempered and I was thinking "that's weird I don't think they are tempered, so I took them somewhere else. And guess what... Great service in Appliance Dept. today by Fed and Jason in St. George, UT location. We found an LG refrigerator and washer dryer pair within minutes and discounts were applied beating nearby competitor. Purchase was efficient and quick and LG rebate form dispensed in thorough manner. We were happy with the entire process and will shop here when we visit. Delivery to Mesquite was free so thankful for that option as well. We'll be baaaack!!! read more

This store engages in despicable practices, taking advantage of older cuttings with shoddy workmanship and delaying repairs. My parents purchased windows and installation a year ago. They spent close to $20,000. This is how the windows and damage to siding look now. Lowe's in St. George is doing nothing to remedy this properly. read more

Prices are competitive to other stores in the area. One thing I have noticed about Lowes vs Home Depot is that Lowes seems to be more of a "finished" inventory. Lowes used to have some of the BEST customer service around, not to mention great products, but the service has gone way down hill in the past year. There just isn't enough staff anywhere in the store! I am a regular shopper there, and frequent garden shopper, and I always get excellent service from Kelly, really the only man who knows anything about plants at all, and to give him credit, he seems to have a wealth of knowledge in every type of plant, fertilizers and actually how to garden, so I always go to him. Now it seems like Lowes has him doing the job of five people, since I see no one else there, so there is always a long line of angry customers trying to get help. It's not his fault because I see him working his tail off helping and answering questions as well as loading cars and trucks with heavy blocks. Where is the rest of the garden staff? Spring is the busy time of planting and only one person to help? Kelly gets five stars, but Lowes, two for whoever makes the staffing decisions. You need more staff, Lowes! read more

On Feb 28 I purchased a Kohler toilet from Lowe's in St George, Utah. I took the unit home and as it was very heavy I listed the help of a neighbor to carry up stairs and into my home. I unpacked unit, sat the tank aside and installed the toilet base. When I picked up the tank and turned it over it had been previously cracked , repaired, repacked in the box and returned. As the toilet base was installed I brought the damaged tank back to the store, explained my situation, the manager at the return counter said that they could not help me without the whole unit returned. I tried again to explain that it had been installed and the wax ring would be stuck on it and all I needed was the tank and related parts missing from my package. He said sorry can't help you without the whole thing. I said look I am the one who has been wronged here because someone cheated you with an improper return that you didn't verify. I have had to drive 40 miles, give up lot of time and all I get is sorry. I purchased another complete unit. Drove home, removed just the needed tank assembly, installed it, put the damaged part that was in my original purchase in the 2nd package and returned to the store on Mar 5 and returned to the return desk and explained my situation and expressed to the manager my dissatisfaction with my treatment an February 28. I explained that after two wasted trips they now had exactly the same thing they would have had if they would have simply opened a box and gave me the part missing from my earlier purchase. He explained that he was very sorry. No, how can we make this right, nothing but sorry. A half wasted day a couple hundred wasted miles, "Sorry" Yes, it was a sorry way to handle aan otherwise easily resolve issue. read more

Had a garage door installed and have problems with it since it was installed and I've gotten no help from the management or corporate! Year of complaints and I get an email closing my case. Being in the middle of a full DIY home remodel, I spend a lot of time at home improvement stores to the extent that some of the Home Depot employees recognize me if I see them around town. The contrast between customer service at my local Home Depot and Lowe's is like night and day. At least once per Home Depot visit, unprompted, I'm asked if I need help. At Lowe's I can barely get anyone to mix a can of paint or help me lift something. Need any lumber cut? Forget it. I've had online orders at Lowe's arrive at the store with no notification. Most recently I received an email stating that an order had arrived at the store. The next day I get a second email stating that the item shipment was delayed. Since I can't get through to the local Lowe's customer service, good luck figuring out which it is. read more

Sad sad day, I had purchased a lawnmower (Craftsman) and it died about 66 days later. Now 400 plus later I've got a faulty lawn mower and Lowe's won't return it because I was six days over the limit. Purchased a stove from Lowe's. When they tried to deliver it they had the wrong address. They wouldn't deliver it to the right address because it wasn't on their order. They would have to send it back to the warehouse in Las Vegas and turn around and deliver it on their next available date even though they were on my street. When I called them they were less than helpful. They said I could come in and buy a new one and then they would refund the money for the other one once I got back to Vegas. Told them to keep their stove. Went over to Home Depot bought a better stove for less money and had excellent customer service. Would never ever recommend Lowe's for anything. read more

While I understand Lowe's sells an extended warranty, that only buys them so much slack. I bought a Kobalt Corded Lawn Mower in Feb 2016. I have used the mower 10-15 times on a yard that is about .15 acres, and it has already stopped working. I called to see if there was SOMETHING that could be done, given that I bought a clearly sub-par, defective and poor quality item from them. I was told no because I did not buy the extended warranty. As if, not buying the extended warranty justifies the fact that they are selling, basically, pieces of junk. Its not asking a lot for a lawn mower to be functioning for more than 20 uses, extended warranty or not. You cannot trust the items sold in this store. You cannot have reasonable expectations of the management to provide fair solutions to the problems their selling of low quality items causes. We have spent several thousands of dollars with Lowe's over the course of many years. We will now be taking our business to Home Depot. Lowe's Management: Offering the consumer the option to spend more money on an extended warranty does not give you a free pass to sell faulty, low quality items to the consumer. read more

I'm so mad at Lowes St George Utah. I will never buy anything there again! In march we bought a home, the first thing we did, before even moving in, was to get an estimate for a fence. The very same day we got the estimate for $7000 of fencing we were furloughed from our jobs. We called the fence guy to let him know our project would need to be delayed. Recently things have picked up at work and we were feeling financially stable and decided we would move forward with the fence project. I went on line to Lowes.com and scheduled for another estimate since we changed how we want the fence now, not using the original estimates plan. I had to schedule the appointment 2 weeks out just to get a Friday morning appointment. Thursday while at work my husband gets a call from the project manger asking if we are using the plans from the previous estimate. He texted back "no, we want to discuss a scaled back version with no gates" We excitedly wait for our 9am appointment. We wait until 9:45 before we call to see what's delaying the guy. We get no call/text back. At 10 am I call the Lowes store in St George. After I tell the girl my problem I'm told "we have complained to our corporate office about letting people make their own appointments, he gets overbooked because of that and can't get to all the appointments. He's really busy" (not once did I hear an appology) I tell her he called and we texted back a confirmation. Busy or not, a no show or not calling to let us know he's going to be this late is unacceptable. She tells me she will call him to find out what happened but don't expect to see him today because he's really busy. Two hours after our scheduled appointment he finally calls. He again blames Lowes for allowing customers to make there own appointments as the reason he isn't here. When I tell him that's a poor excuse since we already confirmed the appointment just a day ago. He gives more excuses but never says a time he will be here. His last reply of "let me tell you how things work in the real world" was the last thing he said before I hung up on him. I complained to them on Facebook and through messenger was told someone would call us about this within 24 hours. That was three days ago. We still have not heard from anyone. I hope he understands how "the real world" works as consumers. I'm never shopping at Lowes and plan on leaving bad reviews wherever possible read more

I need to give a big shout out to Lowe's and to Climate Control, my central air went out, and I went through Lowe's to get a new on, good price and great service, well Lowe's contracts with Climate Control of Saint George, and these guys were great. i went online to Lowes.com to order a pick up order of a wheel barrow. i found the one i needed pretty fast. but once i got to the store it was extremely busy. after trying to find out were to pick up my order for a half hour i ended up at the cust. service counter a younger looking lady tried to help me but seemed very rushed and agitated before i even got up to her. so she finally got the wheel barrow. when i saw it i was shocked. it was damaged and clearly it was sitting outside for a very long time. covered in dust and webs, with a flat tire and loose bolts and dented. i told the girl i wasn't going to pay full price for that. she then called a manager over after rolling her eyes at me. and he said i can give you $10 dollars off. i accepted that but if i wasn't so desperate for a wheel barrow i would have walked out. and said your crazy read more

This is the worst experience I've ever had at a Lowe's! We ordered appliances for a new house. The store is supposed to call within a certain amount of time to confirm delivery and they didn't. When I called them on a Tuesday, the person I talked to was completely confused. Supposedly we had scheduled a delivery for the following Saturday. I was working with Linda in customer service to cancel a purchase and get credit back on my card. She told me she would take care of it and call me back in a few minutes. I waited an hour and never heard back, so I called and got through to the service desk. I explained to them that I spoke with Linda and wanted to know the status. Rose told me that she would transfer me to Linda. The phone rang with no answer and I finally got disconnected . I tried to call several more times with the same result. Because I needed the information so I could proceed with another purchase, I decided to drive all the way to the store. I told them who I was and needed to speak with Linda. They found her and she came out and embarrassingly said "Oh, I got side tracked on a phone call". She then proceeded to credit my card which took about 1 minute. REALLY, SHE COULDN'T HAVE DONE THAT TWO HOURS AGO WHILE I WAS ON THE PHONE? I find that customer service at Lowe's here in St George is horrible. I will use Home Depot from now on. read more

I was transferred to a monosyllabic mumbling rep in Appliances that after considerable effort was able to find that my order had arrived. When I asked about delivery he wanted to deliver it two more weeks away and I only live 20 miles from the store. I will never ever order an appliance from Lowes again. I bought some of my flush mount lights from Lowes. They didn't have enough so they ordered some in. They said they would call when they were in. They never did. I called 2 weeks later and they said they had been in for a few days. And they didn't apologize for not calling. They said they would have them up front waiting for me. I went in the next morning and the customer service person was so NOT helpful. She had no idea what I was talking about nor how to get it. It was so strange. She called the lighting dept and he said they only had 3 of the 4 I had ordered. He didn't apologize. They are about to just send me away and not help find the 4th light i had paid for until I insisted to talk to a manager. Then magically, the 4th light showed up right as the manager walked up. I was about to leave and the manager was super nice and helpful. He checked me out, gave me a receipt while the CSR just sat there. It was really frustrating. I'm giving them 3 stars simply because of the manager. Hopefully they train their people better in the future. read more

When they are good they are very good. When they suck, well they suck. All depends on the day and who you are dealing with. I have had to wait hours for a pallet of salt to be brought up front and other times I call and arrive 20 minutes later and it is waiting for me. Same for help on the floor.
