An associate by the name of Mike F., has been an excellent resource in helping me in a couple of very important projects. Today was no exception. I'm building a new shop in my back yard and since the shop has a loft, I needed someone to help me put together a plan for a pully system a little more complicated than just a basic system. Explaining to Mike what I was wanting to accomplish, he completely understood that this wasn't just a basic shop I was building and that I wanted to add a little more "cool factor" to the hatch lid system. Probably not a big deal to many, but for some of us, it helps to display our craftsmanship a little better. Mike, who has excellent people skills, takes great pride in his personal appearance and writes with a fountain pen, is very unique and really stands out in today's world of business associates. He started building the system as we spoke and as we were gathering materials, he explained not only the how, but the whys behind every piece while putting it together. In the end, I had a much better, robust and cooler pulley system than I had originally imagined, and it's going to be an awesome addition to the shop. Thanks Mike! Wes (has considerable experience in construction) and asked me if I needed any help, so I told him what I was doing and needed some expert advice on a couple of things, and as usual, I was overthinking a lot of it. Returned 2 econo packages of LED bulbs. 3 staff members at Returns Desk. Waited for HELP down the bulb/lights aisle (LED vs incandescents). They never showed up. Now after finding all remaining items to checkout. Only 1, count'em register open to handle every kind of purchase from lumber, paint, decorations to my bulbs and household items. We were backed up 7 customers with social distancing. ALL SELF CHECKOUTS WERE OPEN. Where was this store manager to be oblivious to this bottleneck? Poor distribution of staff given it was the lunch hour (for some shoppers), there were plenty of orange vests in the store doing goodness knows what. The customer behind me said out of principle she won't use self check and allow store to save money on staff and NOT pass any savings on to customer. She said if wait was excessive she'd leave cart and items and walk out. My sentiments exactly! Hello MANAGEMENT! Last I checked Home Depot was in the service business. They need to up their game and put their customers first. Take a lesson from Costco. You could do better. Slouching doesn't look good on you.

I bought a bottle of loctite. Later I checked the receipt and saw they had charged me 300% more than regular retail. I took it back the next day unopened and was told that they had a no return policy. Show me the posted sign that says so. Nothing posted so they made the return but charged me a 30% restock fee. Most unfriendly retailer I have ever dealt with. Last place to go from now on.
