I've only come here for the kids workshops and occasional small trinkets. The store is clean and everything is well stocked. The Kids workshops are held the 3rd Saturday of every month and are almost always located in the lumber department. Staff was kind and friendly and was patient to remove some nails for us (we accidentally nailed incorrectly oops). There weren't many people there when we went so we just had them check us in via a signup sheet print out and walked to our spot. There were hammers, hard hats and safety goggles at each station. They put planks on top of several small stacks of 5 gallon buckets so its easier to hammer nails in (no putting your craft on the floor to hammer!!). It is also well-lit. Love that Lowe's holds this monthly activity and cant wait to come back next month!! read more

I received a gift for Christmas, but it was the wrong color. I went to Lowe's the day after Christmas to exchange it, but they would not allow it because I didn't have the original receipt. The item was still in its original packaging and completely intact, and I wasn't asking for a refund--just to swap colors. I came to this Lowe's in Round Rock for dirt to use in my garden. They have some very good top soil for only two dollars for 50 pounds! I also got some really nice gardening soil for only $4.50, I think the bag is 40 pounds. I do believe that this dirt is going to allow my garden to grow luscious and beautiful! The store is very clean and very large. This review is for the gardening center only, as I did not go in the other part of the store. First of all the employees at the gardening center are great. They had bags of soil and manure and topsoil and everything one would need for planting in the parking lot, there was so many of them! When I was looking through them, and my husband was picking some up and it was obviously heavy for him, one of the employees said, "could you just bring your car around here and I'll put it in for you?". It was so kind and random. So we took a picture of each kind of the soil went inside purchased it came out with our receipt and the nice man put it in our car. Inside the store, I saw some beautiful plants on display. They also have some small wine barrels that could be used to create a garden and they had lots of wheelbarrows as well. Their prices are quite affordable. I will be coming back to the store for things like gardening, gloves, and soil, and any other tools that I need for my garden! read more

My husband and I visited Lowe's to select a new front door. We wanted a nice door as the previous one was ill fitted when we bought our home 2nd-hand. First, there were 0 reps on hand to help us in Millworks the afternoon we went by. We stood and waited over a half hour waiting for a manager or someone to come and help us in millworks. Finally, a guy came and said he could help. We had previously had measurements taken by a Lowe's employee so we knew the size to order. My husband preferred a TX star door which was very reasonable but unfortunately unfinished but we discussed that one but given the order delivery time, decided to go ahead. We were told then to come back and make the official order when "Dylan" was back from PTO. We came back on the day Dylan would be able to assist. At that time I was having 2nd thoughts about the star inset door and in talking with Dylan, he told us there were no longer the stars in stock and to get one would take exactly the same time as the door I was leaning towards (custom). We asked him to price it out for us with all the various options, including selecting a mahogany stain to be applied. I specifically said, since we're waiting longer on the door now anyway, we'd pay the extra costs involved for it to be fully custom. He showed us the quote and he then built our order in the system. We paid over $3000 for the door. Then we waited past the date actually promised another 2 weeks and then the store called to arrange installation. The contractor arrived with the door ready to install and unstained. We were told they sent him with this door and we'd need to finish it ourselves. We informed him we had ordered a fully finished door. We got the paperwork out and called the company rep (Cindy) and informed her we'd ordered our door with stain finish. She said she'd pass it along to Corporate and they'd get the door replaced correctly. Next we know, reps were calling telling us we had not paid for the stain but Dylan had said he remembered we were trying to save $$ so told him no stain. This is clearly a misunderstanding on his part! So, Lowe's answer was that we could pick up the stain or not, but they were absolved of further responsibility. This is beyond ridiculous as since the beginning their customer service has been misrepresentation of the facts, lack of prompt delivery and now at Thanksgiving we're left with an unfinished door to welcome guests. I like this location vs the one I always went to before on Anderson. Less busy and has plenty of plant selections. I used to go to Home Depot a lot for my plants but now I prefer Lowe's. This Lowe's is not close to my house but it's on the way to my girlfriend's house in Pfluger Rock. Very often that makes it more convenient for me. You can't expect as much service at these big box stores as you can at a plumbing or electrical specialty shop. I'm not sure it's where I'd shop for remodeling work either, simply because accountability is low. And honestly customer service since the pandemic is terrible everywhere. But for the I'm going to do it myself amateur, most of the time you just need parts to work with. Whether that's heat shrink tubing or a sprinkler head or a new fluorescent ballast, they've got that stuff. And they sell it from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. 7 days a week. And they're almost never that busy so parking is a hassle or there are long lines to check out. If you came here to be treated like royalty you came to the wrong place. Period. Get over it. But if you came for something you need in a hurry to make something else work, you came to the right place. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would give that or negative stars. I purchased a dishwasher that they told me was in stock on December 19, 2024. It is January 5, 2025 and I still do not have my dishwasher installed. If you'd like to play mine games, phone tag, and the runaround with this store then it's for you. Otherwise, I would stay far far away from buying any appliances from them. They can't even handle a dishwasher. I ordered a refrigerator from this location and when they delivered, I noticed the shelves were bent and the door handles were missing. After speaking to the Appliance manager, he had the fridge picked up and a new one sent. When they delivered the second fridge, I noticed the handles were missing again, but I accepted the delivery because we were moving soon and needed a fridge. I have tried calling the Round Rock Lowe's multiple times and I have not been able to reach the appliance manager or get any help from the staff. The staff in appliances have been especially unhelpful with one person in particular always giving me the run-around. I understand that the fridge issue is a problem with the manufacturer, but it doesn't explain why the service at Lowe's has been so horrible. When I call, I usually get into a never ending loop of being transferred to customer service and I'm regularly hung up on if I'm on hold for too long. I'm hopeful that my review can help change things at this location, but given all the other crappy reviews, management here doesn't seem to care. Lowes, oh what a frustration you are. I ordered a grill online and asked for it to be assembled. It was a great deal and I was super excited for it. Because I bought it during covid-19, I understood that it might take a little while for my grill to be assembled. But after a week and a half and my order was still in process, I began to suspect something was wrong. I took this opportunity to call Lowes. After being transferred twice, I was told that my grill was ready for pick up but was not assembled. I was so frustrated that I decided I was going to make a trip to the store and talk to a manager. When I talked to customer service at the store, they said that they had 5 grills that were all assembled and I could take one home right away. It's crazy, I don't know why there was literally no communication and the information I received was wrong and incorrect when I called. I learned my lesson...when dealing with Lowes, always deal with them IN PERSON. The employees at the store were super nice and helped me load the grill to my truck. The two managers on duty today were disrespectful to their own employee, who had worked there 25 years, and the customers. Their names were Mark and Sabrina. We were trying to apply an e gift certificate toward our $1500 purchase of a washer/dryer. Their system was having a hard time processing it. We patiently wait over an hour while the employee worked hard to try to solve it. The managers offered no help and walked away when we expressed frustration. DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING INSTALLED FROM LOWES: BEWARE I don't even know why I bother writing a review, I guess I don't want anyone else to go through what I have gone through. I purchased 4 toilets for my home, as well as Lowe's installation. We waited two weeks, the toilets came in and the installer was scheduled to install. We waited all day, called several times: no installer, no calls back. Turns out Lowe's has a 3rd party "Handy" that handles the installs. I called Lowe's they said they can have another installer come on Friday, so we wait until Friday. I notice that I get charged for the 4 toilets AND two installation fees in the amount of $960! I was charged twice!! So anyway, the installer shows up on Friday with 3 toilets, not 4. Turns out Lowe's broke one. The installer decided that these toilets were too difficult to install. The measurements all fit the install specs, yet he said that he wouldn't install them. I thought he measured or tried one in the installation site, yet he didn't even take it out of the box! He asked me to get 4 toilets that would fit, so the installer sent me to the store to find 4 toilets that he approved. I bought the toilets. I brought them home. He said that he didn't want to stay and install unless I gave him another $200. I told him the install window was from 8-3 and it was only 930, so if I wanted the toilets installed, I had to pay him another $200. My family needed the toilets and I was desperate. So I went to cash machine and got him the money. After he was finished, and I paid him, he THEN REFUSED to take the old toilets! This was part of the $960 "free haul away of old toilets". We then had to pay ANOTHER $65 to have ANOTHER person haul away the toilets after a week with old toilets in my living room! After I lugged these unused 3 toilets back to the store and asked for a refund, turns out they wanted to pay me back in STORE CREDIT. This was over $3500 in toilets and installation PLUS the second $960 that was double charged! They owed me well over $4000 dollars!!! I then had to call 4 different numbers, spoke to 10 different people. They gave me a number for corporate customer service. GET THIS: They said if I want to have a refund then I will have to dispute the charges with my bank because they will not issue a refund. That RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN. I WILL NEVER RETURN! read more

Manager is gracious to let me in 2 minutes early, then an employee questions me possibly indicating why I'm in the store shopping. I'm a bathroom that's been remodeled. The only thing missing was a bathtub. The cast iron bathtub I had acquired unfortunately was too long. I saw a pretty tub on lowes.com. I ended up placing an order or having a delivered would be great. Unfortunately they missed their delivery date. I was never given a new delivery date. And when it finally showed up I had no idea it was sitting on my driveway until I got home. Box was split open. You could see what was inside it. It had been cracked on the bottom and scratched from the driver dragging it up my driveway. I contacted the 800 number for Lowe's. They asked me if I wanted to return it. I commented no I need a bathtub why would I buy one if I didn't need one?! I told them I wanted them to send me a new one. They offered me a 10% discount. I said considering how long it took, the fact that I wasn't notified of a new delivery date, and that they had damaged it 10% wasn't enough to make me happy. I was told that's all they could give. They put off the order on to a local store so that I could work even more to try and get a replacement. I was told someone from Lowes and Leander would contact me within 72 hours, but that never happened. It has been two weeks. I finally called the 800 number back and told him again what happened. The lady I spoke with said I'm sorry 10% is all we can give. I said come get the thing I'm done goodbye Not again. I'm tired of the poor service. I'm tired of big corporations putting the work back on me to have to do the running around to fix their inadequacies. There is a refusal to go above and beyond or to even fix the most nominal of problems. I manage rental property and needed to replace rental kitchen cabinets. I got a great discount on price. However, the estimated delivery time was 3 weeks at first, then changed to 7 weeks, and then again to more like 10 weeks. I let the associates know up front this is rental and time sensitive. I called to find out where my order was 7 weeks in. they gave me a delivery date. That date came and went. I called lowes corporate and they found out that the manufacturing had not yet begun. Lowes cost me over $10k in lost revenue due to lack of communication and not properly setting expectations. Avoid Lowes if you run a business. Their MPV program is useless. Most of my major purchases never appeared on my account even after they said that that they would go back and add it in. Apparently, that's not possible according to another associate. I am so thankful for the existence of Lowe's. As a new homeowner, Lowe's was my one stop shop for all my home needs. This specific location had a good variety of inventory. But what needs to be called out and the primary reason I am rating this location 5 stars is their staff and customer service. I've spent a great deal of time talking to several Lowe's representatives in each department and each one of them have been very knowledgeable in their area. They provide very helpful advice, giving their candid opinions while straying me away from "lemons". As a homeowner, this additional insight is extremely beneficial and comforting to hear. Everyone is friendly and they always appear to love working there (at least that is the impression I am getting). Was looking for a new LG washer and dryer in the steel gray he told me that it would be $300 more than the white ones. Went to Home Depot and they had free delivery and had the steel gray and no extra cost for a color other than white. Also had it stock. This was the third time I went to Lowe's looking at appliances and always end up going to Hone Depot. Three strikes you are out Lowe's. I found what I wanted online and the La Frontera Lowe's was the closes one to carry the product I wanted. I printed out the product just to help me find it. I could not find it and asked for assistance. It took quite a while to find someone to help. The gentleman who did assist me was very nice. He found what I was looking for and reasoned out that my printed item was indeed the same one as in the store for $8 less per piece. He instructed me to take my printout to the register and ask them to price match it. The lady at the register had to go ask a manager if she could price match this item. She said they could not. They could not verify when I printed the page. Yes, they could have looked it up on line themselves. Did they? No. So I went home and ordered the same item online and picked it up in the store, with a complaint to customer service. Lesson learned. Shop elsewhere. read more
