The store itself is decently clean and friendly, nothing that stands out there. What got me was the website. I don't know if there's been an update to the floor layout or what but I didn't love going online to see what I needed was in stock, only to go where the site said, and find unrelated merchandise. Zip ties were online listed in aisle 12, when they were in aisle 2. They were listed in bay 4, when the store hadn't had bay layout in so long I can't remember. Lowes as a corporation does its best to be the first place you think of for hardware, fixtures, paint, lumber, garden supplies, appliances, tools.... whatever you need from a hardware store. It is a real shame that the local execution doesn't match the marketing hype. We needed a new clothes dryer and were prepared to buy one. We'd even done our homework and knew what we wanted. So all anyone needed to do is show up and take our money. With no one in the appliance area (or anywhere nearby) we pushed the button at the desk.... "special assistance is needed at the appliance desk." We waited. The announcement repeated three times as the lighted button blinked off and on. After the third repeat, the button went dark, apparently signalling it was time to give up. With no help in sight I pushed the button again. And we cycled through the announcements again. And then again. No one, not even a manager if there was no available staff, cared enough to come take hundreds of dollars from me in the space of maybe 20 minutes. We walked out and went to another business. Lowes lost a sizable easy sale. Another couple was there at Lowes at the same time, looking at refrigerators. They kept hovering near us as we all waited for anyone to make an appearance. I assume they left soon after we did. Lowes has a lot of products and I know they make a lot of money. The stores are huge. So they need to consider diverting a few of those marketing dollars and use them to hire more people. read more

Very poor Customer Service at Customer Service when they asks you for help. When I got to Lowe's today and customer service had ask for did I needed help which I did. Then end up two of the employees one was a white guy and the other one was a black woman. I was so mad that I was gonna have to leave, but I talked to a manager and up that don't help either and I had told what happy she had say the black was new. What had happen to customers now. They didn't even care if I went to a different store like Home Depot wow she has said go ahead and leave. read more

Convenient location... but that's about the best thing I can say about this Lowes. I recently placed an order for delivery with a $79 shipping charge. Problem is: they didn't deliver 2 or the 3 line items on my order. I got in touch with customer service online who said they'd have the local store manager call me. Next day the call comes in and the manager said "we don't usually deliver small items. Can you come pick them up at the store?" I told the manager that defeats the purpose of paying for $79 delivery. Next day, still no delivery. Contacted online cust service and they cancelled 2 of the line items on my delivery. So I paid for delivery, but didn't get my items delivered... and now the items I needed aren't here. Gonna order elsewhere. As for in store service, there's a 90% chance store employees will dodge you if they see you approaching with a question. The only way to get help is to wait next to a Lowes employee who is already speaking with a customer and wait for a turn. This way, they can't dodge ya. Went there recently and saw an employee hiding in the lawn mower blades section whispering on her cellphone. Not sure why Lowes has any employees. Not sure what they actually do. read more

It's that time of year! The sun was shining..birds chirping..weather on 80 degrees...so.. best thing to do was start on my yard. Ran to Lowes to get some flowers to put on my deck. They never disappoint! They always have great looking flowers and the soil and things needed to get my garden popping. I picked out three different flowers for full sun exposure, unfortunately I don't remember the names of them but check out my picks to see the bright vibrant color of these flowers! Lowes is my go-to place for DIY, fixer upper stuff. I also bought 2 ceiling fans they are coming to install in a few days!! More pics to come! Dropped my wife on crutches at VCU. Parked at Lowes's to load after shopping for a project, but walked back to VCU to get her settled first. Went back to Lowe's to shop and load truck which was towed by Lowe's. They have a tow truck who removes anyone not seen walking into their store. Then the tow truck driver then refuses my Lowes credit card! $161 dollars not spent at Lowe's. Manager Ryan was indifferent and could not care less. read more

After a lame experience at Home Depot, Lowe's came to the rescue. They beat the price on a frig we saw at their competitor. The manager, Calvin, stepped in to help us, making calls to other stores and helping us with the details of the purchase. He also told us to save the receipt as the frig we purchased may be going on sale for Labor Day and we could get the difference credited to our account. Jasmine, in customer service was also attentive and assisted us in checking out. This is one of the smaller Lowe's. They didn't have as many appliances, grills, etc. displayed and the selection was more limited than the downtown or south side locations. It was clean and organized. I noticed there wasn't anyone in the appliance department which is why we called on the manager. They seemed understaffed. My main critique is this: Calvin was helping us. One of the associates came to him with a problem from a customer in another department. He stopped helping us and began a conversation with his employee. I think he should have told them to hang on a few minutes, finish with us, and then assist the other customer's issue. I get multi-tasking, but I'm also an advocate of "first come, first serve" and giving my complete attention to the customer in front of me. I've been a manager in retail, and if it's a quick question, no prob, but to make the first customer wait quite awhile as you attend to another problem isn't cool. Take a number. My expectations where low, and they still disappointed me. They lack basic customer service skills and respect.

Customer service at this location is subpar. Sought out help from an employee and was met with hesitation when asked if they work the section we were in. They did work that section and said they'd be back, but upon returning did not acknowledge our presence and went to the registers where they appeared to be hiding and avoiding customers. This is related to Lowes Store #0609 in Chesterfield, Va on Winterpock Rd. I purchased/ordered a Kitchen Pantry Custom Cabinet with Sherie Gwin, an experienced 30 year Kitchen Designer. I ordered the 15x24x96 inch shaker cabinet to be hinged on the left side like the display cabinet we both were looking at and discussing from the manufacture. Sherie Gwin either forgot to order the correct hinged cabinet or ordered the hinges on the opposite side. Keep in mind, this is a $2,600 cabinet before any discounts are applied not inclusive of installation. Lowes store #0609 fails to send me an email confirmation and when the wrong hinged cabinet is delivered, they (Lowes) maintain they can't print me out an invoice order with specifications that was transferred to the mfr. When I go back into the Lowes Store to speak to Sherie Gwin, she proceeds to blow me off and Lies to my face saying " that's the way all cabinetry comes from that manufacturer (Shenandoah) hinged on the right side and all customers are required to flip them over the left themselves. There's nothing Lowes can do about that. " I then reach a so called Store Mgr., a lady named Ash who wouldn't provide me with her last name. She leaves me on hold for 20 minutes and tells me the same LIE that Sherie Gwin fabricated. This is the level of so called customer service you are subjected to at Lowes Store #0609 in Chesterfield , VA on Winterpock Rd. Love Lowes and I love going there to purchase a wide variety of items, not only do they have so much Home Improvement supplies and projects, but they also carry the simplest of cleaning supplies. This review is based on a recent purchase of mulch that was ordered in advance for pickup. I ordered 20 bags and I received an email that my order was ready to be picked up. I followed the instructions and went inside to the pick up section and the employees who were working there at the time didn't seem to really have it together. I would say that they lacked customer service. I reluctantly signed a piece of paper not having been explained what exactly it was that I was signing. We were then told to go stand by The Mulch area out in the parking lot. She called some kind of a pickup code over the intercom. And then turned away from us and completely ignored us, even though we has a question. So we went and stood out in the parking lot where the mulch is, and then to employees came over and asked us what we were there to pick up. We explained 20 bags of mulch and what kind of mulch it was. So they had us go to another area at the side of the building. We waited there and watched a guy stack bags of mulch on a cart. Seems like my order wasn't actually prepared or ready at all. I'm not sure if it was a manager who got involved but they had to get another huge pallet of mulch and unload some of that to go with our order. That gentleman and the other employee then explained to us that they had no idea about our order. Obviously there was a breakdown of communication. It is really unfortunate that Lowe's sent me an e-mail earlier in the day that my order was ready, and while my time is valuable, so is the time of their employees , I'm sure it was embarrassing for them that this happened. So, while I'm very satisfied with the product we purchased, the ladies in the pickup area could use some guidance on customer service. I have purchased paint, painting supplies, a few plants, landscaping stones, hoses, lots of stuff from Lowe's and I'm generally pretty happy. Purchased a ride on lawn mower days ago, in full! A major purchase! It was supposed to be delivered two days ago, I never heard anything since the voicemail left giving me delivery information. It never showed and no update given. I called the number for xpo logistics several times with no answer after over 15 minutes and I called this Lowe's location number and was never answered after over 20 minutes! I even called the general Lowe's number, they close early at 6pm. I used the online tracker, also not helpful because it is ambiguous and not updated. After this last experience, I am done with Lowe's. After my local plumber gave me a quote to replace my water heater, I called Lowe's for a quote. It came in $600 lower than my plumber's, so I was willing to spend $35 and wait 5 days (without hot water, mind you) for them to give me on site detail quote. The contract installer said it was straight forward and I should wait for Lowe's to get back to me. Which they did, with a final quote that $500 higher than the original quote. The store manager made no price concessions and explained that the price difference between their quotes is because their "operations centers have no clue". This store seems a little old or in a curious area and/or nook but may be to be a little ghetto compared to some of the other Lowe's I've been to in the area. Wow, this was a train wreck. I ordered materials for a project a week ahead of time and was told it would be ready. When I arrived, no one really knew what was going on. The person who called me back wasn't there on weekends, so no one knew what was going on. After serious searching they found my order. Guess what? It was only partially filled. So, I spent the next hour at Lowes while they pulled the order and tried to load it onto my truck. At first they had a loader try to put the stuff on my rented trailer. That guy was clueless about placing a load on a trailer and tried to put 2,000 pounds of concrete block on the tongue. After having trouble moving it, he said he had another job he had to deliver so he took off. The new manager I was working with was nice so he went and got another team. The A-team then arrived. These guys knew what they were doing and were young management trainees or something. The guy on this forklift was an artist and put it right on the money after playing tetris with the load. When I came back to return the few supplies we had over with the project, it was back to the same CSI needed to find my order. With my ID, my receipt, and with my invoices it took 15 minutes to find my order to return the excess block, concrete & boards. Really?? I've never struggled that much with a Lowes. And I'm a Pro member! Well, my fault. I typically used the Short Pump store and only used this one due to the fact that they had more dek block. Aug. 8, 2021 @ 8pm I was @ 9490 w broad st Richmond va 23294 . I was looking @ a GE stackable washer/dryer that was reduced from 1424.00 to 500.00 that stated dents ! I was talking with the salesman about the condition of the stackable & asked him to give me a minute, I was standing in front of the stackable was turning around to tell the salesman I wanted to purchased it , when a man walk up in front of me & snatched the sale ticket ! I asked him to call the manager I was told the manager had left , I went customer service, then a man walked up said he was the manager & what us the problem I explained to him what happened . He told to wait there while he go talk with the man & the other 2 that was with him , he then talk to the salesman & came back to me and said it looks like a 50/50 when are u plaining to pick up the stackable I said early am he said no if u pay for it u have to take it out then  & they can , I asked what time do the store close he said 10 pm I said I can have someone to come pick up by then he told me no ! The manager treated me unfairly!!! Their was a refrigerator on that same aisle that had hold on it , I have purchased many things before and they have hold until next day . Their are 4 Lowe's in the Richmond va area I have shopped being a home owner over 20 yrs an have never experienced anything like this before! Check your boxes for all parts before you leave the store. I had two different boxes that were missing key parts when I went to install the items I purchased. Thankfully I was not given a hassle by the staff when I brought in the boxes with my receipt. In one case I got a replacement from another box, and the other they just returned the item. She said there was no evidence of a delivery to my address in the manifest (even though the guys came out to my house with the dryer) and the dryer and accessories had been stuck in a back corner and nobody made a note that they'd been returned. Products are great but Very poor customer service. I ordered a full suite of new kitchen appliances during the EOY holiday sales. Even though I came to the store with model #'s and all decisions made, it took 6 hours in the store to get the order placed. The discount process was so complicated it took 4 sales reps and a manager to submit my order. When I received the delivery notice one of the appliances was missing. It had been marked "delivery complete" in the system. 2 more hours back at the store to straighten out the order. 6 weeks later when my chosen delivery arrived, no frig. They sold it to someone else and said it was on back order - would take another 5 weeks. At this point, I have no frig. After making a few phone calls I find out there are 2 available at the south side Lowe's but this group did not want to do the needed paperwork to transfer the order to another store. Therefore, we cancelled the order and I purchased it from the other store - but lost my holiday discounts. If that was not bad enough, they screwed up the refund as well. If you shop at this store, double check every recipe twice. They are not costumer focused at all. read more

Worst place to get big orders with/ they left my flooring outside my house when they told me they would bring it in. At first when they tried to deliver I had them take it back to the store and told them I was told they would bring it in. Then the guy returns that day and just drops $4,000 worth of flooring in my lawn. Now I'm leaving for work and it will be sitting there...absolutely absurd and the manager doesn't seem to care. Never order anything from this store. Unbelievably bad customer service. I ordered a refrigerator from them. The sale went smoothly. The gentleman in appliances helpful. He ordered it and told me they would call to arrange delivery when it came in. I gave them my phone number then and again at the customer service desk. Two weeks later, the delivery showed up at my house with no notice on Wednesday. I could not accept delivery and the driver advised me to reschedule. I started calling the store to reschedule and got a message that the call could not be completed as dialed. Rechecked the number and tried again, checked their website, tried again, called another Lowes to verify the number. It finally started ringing, but no one ever picked up. Tried different departments - got no answer. Called 10 times before giving up that day. Started calling Thursday and scheduled the delivery for the following Monday. Friday, I called to see if they could give me a more precise time. Again, no one would pick up, called and called, tried different extensions, finally reached someone on Saturday that clearly had no clue what they were doing, but at least was trying. Asked me to repeat my name and phone number over and over. Finally told me that I wasn't even on the schedule for Monday or any other day. Scheduled for Tuesday. Called on Monday to verify that I was on the schedule and the person in charge of deliveries verified it. Told that I would get a call Monday night with a time window. No call, no delivery. Started calling about 3:00 on Tuesday. Got the "can't be completed as dialed" again. 2 different people put me on hold, and never picked up again. Finally got someone in a completely different department, Alfred or Albert, who was very helpful and got the receiving manager for me. We set up a new delivery time of Thursday. This was a total of 14 calls that evening over 2 hours. Wednesday night, I went to the store in person, to talk to the manager and make sure everything was scheduled properly and to try to get delivery first thing in the morning as my old refrigerator was being picked up on Thursday. He told me that he couldn't do anything about the schedule but that delivery was set for 8-12. He also told me that they had the wrong number for me. Now I had given them my number twice the day I ordered and REPEATEDLY in my many phone calls. No one ever thought to fix it?. As the manager was helping me another lady came in to speak to the manager and after hearing me, spoke up that she was there for the exact same things. Thursday - old fridge gone, 12:00 came and went, started calling again, no one picks up, most times when I would enter an extension, it would just disconnect. Finally got the fridge at 1:00. I used to like this particular store until my visit yesterday. On a Saturday afternoon there was no one working in either the kitchen or appliance section. Also no button to request help like in other Lowes stores. I waited 10 mins then found someone from flooring to help. He fumbled around for a few mins then another guy came over to assist. Paid for all new appliances, before they were even delivered they sold my microwave to someone else, had to locate a replacement myself at Home Depot because they couldn't help me. The rest of the appliances arrived yesterday. Stove did not have the proper cord, was told by Asia that it was being brought back to me the same day - no one ever came back. The refrigerator had a dent in it, again was told by Asia that a new fridge would be delivered today. Had not heard from lowes regarding my delivery for today so I called, was told by the manager Eric there was no delivery for me today and that the fridge was no longer available. THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD FROM START TO FINISH. Can not wait for them to come get the non working products that were delivered so I can get my money back and NEVER SHOP AT LOWES AGAIN!!!!! We were very disappointed with our experience at Lowe's in Short Pump. We bought a washer and dryer from a cashier who couldn't possibly be less interested. We had to ask for the accessories for hook up. We were scheduled for delivery three days out. I received a call to confirm all three days. The day of delivery, I received an indecipherable message on my phone from the delivery driver. When I tried to call back, there was no answer. I called Lowe's and was told there was no one that time of evening in the delivery department. I explained that I was expecting a delivery. I was put on hold for 30 minutes. I then asked to speak to a manager, was put on hold then hung up on. I continued to try and call back and the store would not pick up. I called again with my husband's phone and they answered. I asked to speak to a manager again and this went on and on. Mean while, with another phone my husband was able to get ahold of someone who had the delivery company's number. He called and was told that the driver took the items back to Lowe's because we weren't home. We were home all day. Incredibly unprofessional all the way around. We went to Best Buy the next day, had an amazing experience and will not ever go back to Lowe's. read more

My grandpa took me with him to Lowe's today because he was buying me things for an at-home project. Before heading to the department we needed, we browsed the Garden Center. The last time I went to a store's garden center, half the plants were dead or dying and there was nobody to be found in case I needed help. This Lowe's had 2-3 friendly and helpful people in the Center the entire time we were there, during the hottest part of the day, and the only plants that were even slightly wilted were those on the clearance racks - once-a-year bloomers who are at the end of or past their season. They had a wide selection of great plants for the area, and my grandpa and I enjoyed perusing the area a bit longer than we should have. After that, we slowly headed towards the paint and hardware departments for what we came for. I picked out some paint while he got the hardware parts, then I picked out some drawer handles. They had a great selection! The two gentlemen at the counter were incredibly helpful and polite, as well - even when one of them got the pleasure of dealing with a rather nasty customer! Oh, and the MyLowes card thing? Worth it! Especially since it's free! I mean, you make a purchase on the shopper's card, and it keeps track of your purchases and all kinds of things. Bonus feature? You don't need to worry about losing a receipt - they can make refunds using your card if you used it on the purchase! Wow!!! read more

I ordered a new fridge. Calling the store with a question was almost impossible without just getting bounced around. Never received a call about my delivery time. Then they delivered a damaged fridge. Had to call numerous times to get help with sending a new one. It's virtually impossible to speak with a manager. Re-delivery was also a mess. The delivery guys left without even pushing the fridge into where it goes or removing any of the wrapping or tape. They just put it in the middle of my kitchen and left without a word. And the newer fridge was also damaged. I'll never shop with Lowe's again thanks to this store and Lowe's horrible delivery partner. read more

The service here is better than any other location, but the store is smaller than most. We are generally in here once a week fixing up something around the house, and we are always amazed at the ability of the staff to pinpoint exactly where the product we need is located on the shelf, down to the bay number! I will say that there isn't always everything you need in stock here, but with free shipping to the store, you can have just about anything waiting for you to pick up and all paid for! Okay, so you won't always find crazy unique fancy highest-of-all quality home furnishings here, but for my budget, I can usually find something to suit my taste. I love Lowe's. read more

This review is for the Lowe's at 4401 Pouncey Tract Rd in Short Pump, VA. The washer and dryer we purchased seem to work fine, the sale price was very good, and the in-store sales staff was satisfactory. So it's unfortunate that I have to lower Lowe's overall rating because of the final phase of the transaction -- delivery. Lowe's has chosen to use an inept sub-contractor, XPO, to do their deliveries for them. XPO is so bad at what they do that they should get out of the business. But don't take my word for it. Instead, I invite anyone interested to read the Yelp reviews (mine included) for XPO to see how many people have had bad experiences with these so-called "Logistics Experts." Sorry Lowe's, but you chose XPO to be an important part of your customer service process. Because of that, you must take ultimate responsibility for poor customer satisfaction as a result of XPO's substandard performance. read more

I went here today for one item. An air return vent. This not being my usual home improvement store I immediately walked in and asked two women at the front desk for assistance locating it. They both had no idea where it was and directed me to another service desk where another woman was waiting to help me. I explained what I needed and she gave me vague instructions with no aisle numbers and even when I requested that she accompany me to the aisle she refused. I ended up in the middle of the store with a few other customers looking for help too and we chatted about how we all needed help and that we all felt frustrated. After not finding anyone else I raised my voice saying "help! Is anyone here that can help me find something?!" Finally they smugly announced to call a manager via the intercom. Immediately instead of calming the situation which I was frustrated with he blamed me when I complained that his employees were unhelpful. He took me to the aisle where we could not find the product and had me meet him at a service desk. As he did this I was looking up the item to see if another home improvement store had it in stock on my phone. He said they were out of stock and I frustratedly commented that I should have trusted my instincts and driven a few miles further to my usual store. As I was walking away an older gentleman with a beard verbally assaulted me calling me a stupid b**** on multiple occasions and telling me "I didn't belong in this store." I stood up for myself saying that was inappropriate to speak to me that way all while this manager stood there and watched. Eventually he kept berating me and I was about to break down in tears so I called him out for being a sexist pig and basically sprinted out of the store before I full on ugly cried. I have never had such a horrible experience in my life. And for your manager to be so rude and literally watch as someone in the store made sexist and heinous comments about me was just appalling. We have had many issues at Lowe's in the recent years, this used to be our go-to home improvement store. That won't be the case anymore. Clearly your employees need to be better trained in customer service and they need some sort of training when a customer is being verbally assaulted in the store, I truly felt unsafe. This is clearly a district problem because this is not the only Lowe's in the area I have had issues with when it concerns customer service, this experience at this store was clearly bad enough to speak about though and I hope you all plan to do something about what happened this morning in your store. read more

This location is small compared to the other locations in town. However, the employees seem friendly, they are as helpful as any big home improvement/hardware store is, and they have most of what you might be looking for. The lines aren't bad and most of the time that I go in there's at least two lanes open. If you're looking for a lot of choices then this might not have it all but if you're just looking for something in particular then this is the place. read more

Staff is great..... But there is something different about this lowes. They dont have the same stuff as other lowes stores. Was buying stock unfinished cabinets for a rental house, the brand "project source" cabinets are different at this store than all the others. Strange but not a big deal. Other than that..... Usually has some long lines up front. Only 1 register operating most times i go in. read more

I can't say much about the whole store, but want to give a shout out to Daisy, she is in the tiling area and she was just amazing! She knew exactly where every single piece of tile was, that I found online, and she gave some tips on the bathroom remodel that would save us money, she was super friendly, I was amazed. We usually go to the short pump one and I didn't feel compelled to write any reviews for that one, b/c it was just like any other regular lowes store, but Daisy made this visit amazing! I'll be coming back to this Lowes, hoping that other employees are just like her! Thanks so much Daisy! read more
