Instead, I had to wait for 2 workers to finish their personal conversation. I mean, HELLO, I'm standing here. Anyway, I made the return and used self-service to checkout. There, I had the displeasure of having to listen to an older lady who worked there fuss about having to enforce "stupid" Lowes rules. She was that type of worker you'd hate to work with because she just sucks the fun out of the environment. Like, retire already. If you don't like your job, give it to someone else. Lowe's is my new leader in worst customer service experience ever. I ordered a power tool for a job I had. When I received the confirmation I noticed it was shipping to a previous address. This was odd, because I have received a number of orders to my new address since moving. I called them and explained that I needed to change the ship address. They said "no problem" then after a brief hold muttered "it won't let me do that. Let's just cancel the order and reorder it". I okayed this but soon she said "it won't let me do that either". She put me on hold then came back and told me to contact my financier and dispute the charge. I call MyLowes and their CS rep said that's ridiculous and transferred me back to Lowe's CS. This rep asked me if I wanted to talk with the warehouse and see if they could cancel it. I wondered why that was my job not theirs, but asked for the number. I was told that I'd be transferred over and after listening to a ring time for a minute the rep came back on and told me the warehouse doesn't have phones. Again I was told to dispute the charge. The FedEx label wasn't printed at the warehouse until 7 1/2 hours after I made my initial call and the tool was shipped to someone else. i am left unable to the job, out $220 (unless I win the dispute) and envying someone else owning the tool I paid for (as yet it FedEx not been by the recipient to pick up the parcel he/she didn't order). read more

The lady working the register at the lumber section needs some work on customer service. Asked her a question about an item that was supposed to be in stock. She kept saying it's over there. Pointing at shelf. I said yes the app says it's supposed to be there with 25 in stock. Her answer was people buy those all the time and then started talking with another customer while I was in mid conversation with her. I understand she can't leave her register but didn't even offer to call someone up to the isle to help me. I popped into Lowe's to get some light bulbs, and while they had a large selection, they didn't have the one size I needed. Several employees walked by me as I stood searching the shelves but no one asked if I needed help. Maybe I'll check online? I stopped by the garden area and picked up a couple of pretty houseplants and some bird seed. Some of the plants looks neglected but I found some lively ones! If I could give no stars I would. I had a fence built by Lowe's & the whole experience from start to beginning was a pure headache. A lady came to my house to give an estimate..reeked of cigarettes!! She saw my infant was in the house and still kept returning on other visits still reeking of cigarettes. The fence company gave me a run-around on several occasions. They delivered materials and ran thru my neighbors grass. They were furious! Visited this location again today. And it just keeps getting worse!!!! Central Richmond Lowe's. Awful experience, terrible costumer service. We purchased a washer for $700plus. This was used but was being sold as new. When we opened the box and tried the hose had running water and even the top door had signs that was already used. They sold that full price to us, not even a opened box price. When we came back to get our money or a refund. They ignored completely the fact that they sold us a used machine at full price and forced their 48 hour return policy..mind you it took us two days to even test the machine and had to find a helper to bring it back. Not a great experience. I was buying my mom a cultivator to plant wildflowers and an employee recommended the craftsmen. The throttle broke after two uses - I can't be more specific because I am not an expert. Tried to return it and they don't take returns on power tools after they've been opened and used...how tf are you supposed to know if it is broken if you don't open it and try to use it??? I purchased an oven online with an expected delivery the next day before 6:30 p.m. At 5:45, I received a call from Lowes telling me that they didn't have the product I ordered. Well here's a thought. First, why did you wait until the day to tell me that as I waited at home all day for it? Second, why did you sell me something you didn't have? Lowes then said they would call the next morning with a new delivery date. By 10:30 the next morning, I still had not heard from them. I called and after being on infinity hold (I kid you not, 35 minutes (the first time!)), I was told that delivery had been scheduled for the next day. I told them that no one had advised me of that schedule change and that I would not be home to accept delivery and wanted to cancel my order as I could not commit to another delivery date anytime soon. They insisted I could not cancel my order. Seriously? You're going to force me to pay for your lousy service and for a product you don't have? I was on and off the phone with those morons from 10:30 until 2:00 that afternoon when they finally agreed to cancel. You guessed it. I got a call the next morning at 7:30 telling me they were on the way with the oven. These people are idiots. I told the driver I was not home, could not accept delivery, and that I had cancel the order. I will cook my meals on a campfire in my backyard before I'd purchase an oven from Lowes again. this is a VERY sensitive post/problem Yesterday (Thursday May 6,2021) my family was in Lowe's (which let me add my 5 yr old son calls the man store). My son LOVES to be in Lowe's and Home Depot with Daddy while mommy & sissy are behind them with the cart Daddy told son to go ask the lady (two isles down) for help. He ran and daddy was following. This happened.... Son: ma'am can you help me please (anyone who knows my son knows he is SUPER sensitive and has a heart of gold for anyone) Rosa (older black lady)(Lowe's employee): what the fuck you want white boy Dad: (heard her mumble something).. he said did you really just say that. Rosa: yeah I said that Dad: you said that to a child Rosa: I don't care Dad: what is your name, I'll take care of this Rosa: Rosa (shows vest) I don't fuckin care Dad turned and looked at me and said to go get the store manager now. I heard Rosa then say you can go right there to customer service and get one. Not one but TWO managers got involved in this, there was nothing done except an "I'm sorry, this happened to you & can you please email the statement to us." I sent over the email. As leaving their store I call the police, the police literally couldn't do anything criminal for this. However agreed that if tables were turned I would be in trouble. First off WTF! He recommended taking this to corporate or even lawyer up as this is NOT ok especially it being done to a VERY young child. While I was talking to officer #1 officer #2 was playing and talking to the kids for my son to even ask the officer "why did that lady yell at me? What did I do wrong? I even used manners." Officer response was "you didn't do anything wrong, some people just have bad days and aren't very nice." I also called corporate for again nothing to be done and just an "I'm sorry, if you would like I can send you a $25 gift card." I stated to corporate so $25 is just supposed to shut me up, they said that's all they can do... Corporate was very rude and very insensitive in all angles. Lowe's informed me that the installer would be contacting me soon to schedule the appointment; I received the text message for the installation time frame to which I promptly responded. When the time frame arrived, no one showed up! Then the installer called asking me when I would like to set up the appointment after I had taken half day of vacation waiting for the original appointment to be fulfilled. Just awful. I came to buy a riding lawn mower. I had a few manufacturers in mind. I spoke to Jim from the lawn and garden dept who delivered awesome advice and excellent customer service. First, he gave me some sound advice on the various options available to me. Second, he walked me through the check out process quickly and with care. Third, he helped me load the tractor on to my trailer but when there was an issue with a two metal vars used to vertically store the trailer, he removed them so we could finish the job. Finally, he gave me recommendations on how to store the tractor for the winter to ensure it would properly operate the following summer. It doesn't get better than that... I see there are some negative reviews but for this fella and the lead cashier, they did an excellent job and deserve recognition. read more

Then one of your staff members went off on us for saying we couldn't understand the deliver drivers and started calling me a racist. 3 stoves later we still don't have the new one we paid for, and your drivers are saying they are arriving between 8-10am while your store says 11am-1pm. When I lived in NY the Lowe's store had far superior custumer service than Home Depot, not the case here in Midlothian. This store is incomparably the worst, the service is subpar, the employees are terrible, poorly trained impatient. I could cite several situations where the inaptitude has resulted I'm my giving business to Home Depot, I don't care to. It's no wonder that Lowe's missed its earnings estimate this week and their stock took a hit, while Home Depot's performance has been outstanding. There is a corporate cultural issue here. The problem rests with the caliber of the employees and how they are trained to deal with custumers. If senior management ignores the countless bad reviews and does nothing to improve I predict they will be the next retail implosion. read more

The people in the appliance department were helpful when we bought a fridge. The store told us they could deliver next day but called the next day to say they couldn't due to 'a large cabinet order.' I rescheduled for 5 days later in the morning. It's 3:00 in the afternoon now and the fridge isn't here. I called the store and selected "delivery department" from the menu of options. The phone rang about 5 times then it hung up on me. I've had to rearrange family or work plans 3 times now for this delivery and it's looking increasingly like #4 is on the horizon. Amending this review to include that I was able to get a live human on the phone on my third call and confirm the delivery was 'printed and on the truck' today. And, the fridge was delivered early evening. The dudes from the delivery outfit were courteous and professional. All in all if the Lowe's folks had merely not mis-forecasted their delivery capabilities it would have been a good experience. Henry from plumbing knew exactly what the issue was with my flusher piston and rather than me removing the tank and ordering parts and spending 2 hours doing that work he suggested a simple washer from a $8 kit. Took me 3 minutes to fix the flusher piston issues and saved me tons of time. That's service!!! read more
