Excellent customer service is rare these days and this store and it's staff was phenomenal. I went in on Wednesday with a venetian blind that needed repair and I expected to be told that I needed to purchase a whole new one. I was delighted when I pressed the call button for help and the gentleman was there in a few seconds. He assessed my blind and took great care and about 10 minutes restringing the broken cord and restringing it to see if he could make it work again. He was patient and got it attached again. I will probably need to buy a new one eventually, and will get it from Lowe's. While the blind was under the knife another member of the staff came over and entertained my fussing twins in their stroller. That was very sweet. After that I needed to find another item in the store and was asked if I needed help before I even asked. I didn't have to search for someone. I had a nice experience with the person in the next department with a floor register issue. He was very knowledgeable and steered me in the right direction. On my way out to my car the person that asked if I needed help finding something asked how I made out. That was very friendly and I appreciated the thoughtfulness and interest. Overall my experience was terrific. I will now drive 15 minutes out of my way to visit this store even though Home Depot is 10 minutes closer! read more

Polite staff and that is the only good thing I have to say. They sell mostly garbage products to stay competitive with the Home Depot. In my opinion it's an insult to the consumer taking brand names and forcing them to degrade their quality (garbage products) just to make a dollar. Examples are the "Pella" vinyl windows that were considered the biggest piece of garbage both under their current name and their former name and most of the tool department. I feel sorry for the employees that have to pretend like they are selling a good product. read more

Thank you Tom! I was at Lowe's couple of days ago after my third trip of the week to get three more bags of cement for my outdoor project of stepping stones. I was pushing the cart with (3) 80 LB bags of cement when I heard someone behind me running and saying "Excuse me, excuse me miss". I turned to see a young gentlemen running towards me and he said "Let me help you with this, it is very heavy". I thanked him and explained that I was not finished with my shopping, and that I needed to make a purchase at the garden center (which is at the other side of the store). He asked to helped me again and I promised him that I would ask someone to help me when I was done shopping. I continued walking, but a minute later I stopped, turned back and found the same man to ask him for his name and thank him again for his kindness and persistent attempt to help me. Yes this is his job and he is getting paid to do it, but I am certain that he wanted to help me not only because he worked there, but because is the right thing to do. Thank you Tom LeBlanc! I purchased a dishwasher at Lowe's the experience was terrible. First they told d my wife that they charged $700 for installation because they needed a building permit (not true). Next, after I had problems with the unit they sent 2 technicians on site and fixed only one of my 2 problems (first was it didn't turn on which was due to some sensor having fallen off inside). The second they didn't ever fix and rather tried to blame the installer (internal each fell off). The tech actually came to house and refused to fix it - leaving my only one option. I returned it. I set up a time for them to pick it up and they didn't call or show up. I borrowed a truck and returned it myself. What poor customer service!! read more

We recently bought a bank owned home so many renovations needed. I love this store. Most of the staff is super friendly. I even bring my dog Bentley and many know him by name. The store Manager Rich is hot!! lol... Ok so that isn't helpful for most, but it is truthful. He is very nice too =) . There is always someone around to ask questions and there to help you. They really know their stuff and the Valspar Rep for this location is the BEST!!! She rocks!!! Taught me some things I didn't know. Really enjoy shopping here. They make you feel welcomes. My parents ordered a refridgerator, and they sent the wrong one twice. Come to find out the manufacturer had given Lowe's the incorrect photo of a fridge with a stainless steel side, when it was actually black. Anthony in appliances went above and beyond to make sure my parents were satisfied (they ended up keeping the refridgerator) and even gave them a discount for their troubles. The team that did the installation were also great and were very respectful and helpful to my elderly parents. Lowe's was great! They didn't give me the run around, were very accomodating and very helpful to try to fix a problem. I would highly recommend this store. Everyone I spoke to had a great attitude, which is very refreshing in this day and age. I also think Anthony should get a raise or a bonus for his great customer service. :) read more

Purchased washing machine over two weeks ago. I have had nothing but issues with delivery. Avoid this place at all costs. It is not worth time and hassle. Received phone call from manager indicating that I would receive delivery on 3/17. Never received call from delivery company and no one ever showed up. When I called the store they said it would not be ready until Thursday 3/21. The delivery company window was between 11am and 3pm. I got call at 9:30 saying they would be there shortly. I indicated that was not the time promised and would need to be in the window indicated by message so I could have someone home. No attempt at delivery the rest of day. The delivery company said they tried at 11:09 at cream colored house with white door. My house with grey with burgundy door. No evidence on house camera and wife was home. Lowe's told me to call delivery company because there was nothing they could do. Lowe's has really gone down hill over the last few years. I could go on and on. read more

My 4 year old daughter and I went to Lowes and she needed to use the bathroom which was being cleaned at the time. Luckily, as we were about to walk away, the custodial staff, Oneil, came out and said he just finished cleaning the area and removed the sign. Being a parent I am very skeptical and cautious about using public bathrooms but I was extremely pleased with how clean the bathroom was. He did an amazing job and I wanted to tell you guys to keep up the good work. read more

Terrible terrible terrible for floor installation!!! We put in 4 orders with Lowes to do floors in 4 different rooms. They gave us an estimate on how long it would take for us to hear from the installers and we were on a tight schedule because we were moving into the house within a month of placing the order. The floor guy at Lowes told us that we should at least know if we would be able to make our move in date after we heard from the installers. When we heard from the installers they told us that we would be okay for our move-in date. However, when Lowe's received the materials for the flooring projects they didn't contact the installers and let them know that the material was in their inventory. We had to call Lowe's and they told us that the flooring material was in their inventory for 2 WEEKS!!! Nobody ever called the installer!!! Needless to say, we had to push back our move in date for our house because the floors were not in. read more

Won't use this store again! Made an online order on a Friday, Planned on picking it up on Saturday after work. Got an email from the store at 7:51pm on Friday saying my order was ready to pick up. When I went to the store at 330pm on Saturday they informed me that the order was not picked and that it would be about a half an hour wait.... 45 mins later I am leaving the store...So much for the convenience of ordering online!! Not impressed with the customer service. I went in here looking for help fixing my toilet that won't flush. I had to ask three people where to find the right stuff, and when I got to the right aisle, I had to search around for someone who knew what they were talking about. When I finally got the right person, they were very knowledgeable, but it was a frustrating 30 minutes. read more

Yesterday I went to my local Lowe's in Plainville MA and spent $84.00 on 6 perennial plants. The plants looked great. However, when I came home and began to plant them I soon realized that the plants had NO ROOT SYSTEMS. The soil fell away from the plants revealing threadlike roots. I am extremely disappointed and I will bring the plants back if they fail to thrive. Warning: although the plants at Lowe's look healthy they are not. Shop elsewhere! read more

Don't buy a dishwasher there. You will be charged more in fees than the dishwasher is worth. They are ripping off their customers. They charge for permits which are not needed, extra electric work which are not needed, and a reconnect fee. This is over and above the install fee . read more

I needed a kitchen project done in my house. I was assured by Lowe's that they will be able to take care of it for me. I scheduled a measurement appointment and was told by the technician that everything will be taken care of and I should expect to get a call from Lowe's with a quote. When I didn't hear back for a few days, I called and was told that they will check on the status and call me back. Then they said "everything was all set" and I should come to the store and sign the paperwork if I agree with a quote. I came to the store and was ready to sign the paperwork, when I asked (just to double check) if Lowe's will take of everything - removal of the old materials and installation of the new. That's when they looked at the back of the paperwork and realized it said "removal by customer". I was very surprised and disappointed because Lowe's representatives assured me that Lowe's will take of the whole project. I explained in the beginning and repeated several times that I need them to take of the whole project, not part of it. Again I was told that they will resolve it and call me back. Again I called a few times when I didn't hear back and finally I got a call that they will not be able to complete the project. I will never go to Lowe's again for the home improvement projects. read more
