I ordered online and paid the delivery fees in full. When the delivery driver arrived, I asked that the pallets be dropped behind the home in the drive way as there was nowhere in the front to place, the driver stated that she couldn't and started to unload in front of my house. I asked multiple times that she please take them to the rear and she said no. At this point, the driver was stacking the pallets in the front yard area where part of the pallets' weight was being sustained partially by my retaining wall. when she went to place the 6th pallet the whole retaining wall collapsed. After damaging my wall, she then managed to able to put the last one to the back which was what I requested from the beginning. Therefore, the reason why she did not place the pellets in the backyard was because she did not want to. The driver then got very hostile and upset and started yelling at me. She was being really unprofessional and discriminating towards asians in her harsh words. Now I figuring out matters with Lowes who hired this company to deliver and they're saying they are not responsible for that and blaming the third party who I don't even know them. I will never work with Lowes again and will sue them.

These are the cabinets they sent

NIGHTMARE KITCHEN INSTALLATION STORY AHEAD! ONLY HIRE LOWES IF YOU CAN LIVE WITHOUT A KITCHEN FOR 8+ MONTHS! The cabinets we ordered came unexpectedly early which meant we had to live with 15 large cabinet boxes and a 64" pantry in our tiny row home for almost 2 months before we could schedule the install. Nightmare continues...they hang the top cabinets which are beat to hell , 26 digs, scrapes, and even a failed inspection sticker on one. Keep in mind we are paying 5k for this and they send out one person, for 4' cabinets, the day before Thanksgiving. Long story short, the measured wrong and now the bases won't fit. For the next 3 weeks, I spend 2 hours of every day trying to get answers but its all finger pointing and "someone will call you back". You deal with 4 different companies when you hire lowes, keep that in mind. So now, I have to take more time off work to schedule the installer to come take down the cabinets, live with them in my house for God knows how long, schedule the manufacturing to come pick them up, wait 3 months for new cabinets to come in, schedule the manufacturer drop off, and then schedule the installer again. THIS HAS BEEN AN EVEN WORSE NIGHTMARE THAN I COULD HAVE EVER IMAGINED. IT WILL BE OVER 8 MONTHS BEFORE I CAN EVEN THINK ABOUT HAVING A SINK AGAIN. If you think paying up for Lowes is worth it, be prepared to wash dishes in a basement sink for the next 8 months.

Rittenhouse Hardware - Is this something new?!?

Rittenhouse Hardware exemplifies the kind of neighborhood store that every city should cherish. I…read morelive nearby and make it a point to visit whenever possible. The store is highly organized and offers a surprisingly wide array of items for its size. What truly distinguishes it, however, is its staff. They are knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely helpful. Walking in with a problem, they'll help you think through the best solution. Often, the advice alone makes the trip worthwhile, with the purchase being a bonus. In an age where almost everything can be ordered instantly online, places like this still play an essential role. Some issues require judgment and experience, not just a quick online search. The team here clearly knows their craft and is happy to share their expertise. What I especially value is their honesty. They never try to pressure you into buying unnecessary items. If they don't carry what you need, they'll tell you and often point you toward where to find it. Such confidence and integrity are rare. While large stores like Home Depot have vast inventories, for smaller or specialized items, especially related to older Center City homes, this store is often the better choice. Prices are fair, and the quality of guidance enhances the overall value. It's evident that this store is run with pride, care, and years of expertise. It has genuine character, and I hope the neighborhood appreciates it as much as I do. I'm always impressed when I visit. Thank you!

The person who greeted us was definitely new and the other workers helped out as much as they could. I think it's a solid store. You can probably find anything you're looking for from kitchen stuff, plants, hammers, nails, even knife sharpening. I tried to sign up for their ace hardware program but it was unsuccessful linking my account and they had to take time finding the brochures to apply for a new account. Then it didn't work for the coupon, oh well. I think my knives will be sharp (6.99) per knife. They use the resharp machine that I'm a fan of. Perfect before thanksgiving!

The manager was so rude and yelled at me when I followed his directions and went down the wrong aisle. I purchased some drill bits from a friendly enough cashier. Turns out I purchased the wrong sized bits and returned to the store within the hour to exchange them. The manager yet again was so rude. He refused the exchange and said the bits were "tools" and non-refundable and said that was printed on the receipt. The tool in fact was the manager. Too bad he is non-refundable. I had carefully opened the packaging in case I had to return it and neatly taped it back together, His argument was also that he could not resell the item due to packaging. I understand store policies have to be put in place but, if an item is non-refundable and it's not obvious, the cashier should say so. No one reads the top of receipts and even if they did, it is given to you after the purchase has already been made. If he had actually gotten off his duff and helped me, I wouldn't have bought the wrong size and would've upgraded the screws needed. Now I'm just screwed for trying to shop local.

I was respectful and followed the man whom swore by the other machine. He had possession of my key when he walked away from the store machine. I repeatedly asked him to slow down as I'm recovering from an Achilles repair. By the time I made it to the machine he said just put your credit card in. I said I wasn't sure I wanted the keys from the machine. he proceeded to say oh the give a key for free when you buy one. It literally was too late as Apple tap ran my card. Thru out the process the man repeated Lowes will give you money back of keys didn't work! Upon my return, employee wasn't the kindest. rather of the rude side. When I explained what happened she should have called on the manager to investigate why Lowe's employee assigned to key department could not apply how training to the process of making my key. I am a Lowe's Pro Business member and plan to be looking in Home Depot's business portion. I can not believe how they disregard what customers are saying about employee without asking for more details. Some empathy should be applied during all social interactions. Employees at all levels should never be as disgusting to an employee as they had been. Negative comments came from other department employees as they eaves dropped on my personal conversation.
