I called 10 Th St Hardware to see if I could with my receipt come in and get two more for the two that shouldn't have died within a week and they told me that it was not in the return policy to take back any plants to die I find this so unacceptable. They are seasonal potted flowers and there was no reason for them to die. There was also no reason not to exchange them. I will not be returning to 10th St. hardware because of their customer service.

The person who greeted us was definitely new and the other workers helped out as much as they could. I think it's a solid store. You can probably find anything you're looking for from kitchen stuff, plants, hammers, nails, even knife sharpening. I tried to sign up for their ace hardware program but it was unsuccessful linking my account and they had to take time finding the brochures to apply for a new account. Then it didn't work for the coupon, oh well. I think my knives will be sharp (6.99) per knife. They use the resharp machine that I'm a fan of. Perfect before thanksgiving!

Apparently we had basically picked up industrial strength version that can be lethal if not applied properly. So dangerous it even comes in a BAG. (Don't judge us, we shed a lot of hair). He was a fountain of knowledge and made sure we knew how to wear protective clothing and how long to wait before we took a shower after for safety reasons. He knew WAY more than I would ever expect someone to know about this product and cared more about our safety than he was obligated to. 5 stars for this hardware store. We'll definitely be back. Also feel a need to address the comments about this place being rude. I witnessed him interacting with another customer in a very direct no-nonesense way. Not rude AT ALL. But I could see if someone expected niceties and a "hows your day" they might come down harshly on this place but that wouldn't be fair. It's a hardware store. You're in and you're out and you want someone who knows their stuff to help you out. We will be back!

Since moving to Roxborough over 29 years ago, I have been shopping at Stanley's Hardware. I have…read morenever had a negative experience with their customer service. Last week they went above and beyond, clearly deserving of media mention. Last summer I purchased a Weber Grill. I immediately had an issue with the casters not working. I called Ernie who dispatched his crew to retrieve the grill and try to fix it. It was missing many screws and one of the casters had fallen off. The crew brought back the grill, supposedly fixed but I have had difficulty with the same casters since last year. They will lock in place, and not stay unlocked thus making it almost impossible to move my grill. Finally, last week one of the casters just broke off entirely. This was two days before my July Fourth cookout. I called Ernie back and he immediately remembered me and dispatched another crew to assess the situation . When the crew arrived, they realized they would again have to take the grill back to the shop. A few hours later I got a call from Mike asking me if I wanted to have the repair done by Weber under the warranty or if I wanted them to try to put on new casters. I told them to put on universal casters because I did not want the same casters from Weber. A few hours later I got a call from Mike telling me the repair was complete and could they drop off the grill. I said sure and how much did I owe them. I was then informed I didn't owe them anything. I cannot thank them enough. I especially want to shout out Ernie, Mike and the owners , Mark and Alex Jaconski who run an exceptional business.

Stanley's is the classic small business the neighborhood wants to keep in place for their needs big and small. I've been blessed that I haven't had too many emergencies in my house but knowing a Stanley's run can be done quick sets my mind at ease. The best I can do to support them is to continue to visit in those non-emergency moments like when I need a key made or a small piece of hardware.
