I am writing this complaint regarding the fence installing company LOWES is using R E Connors Construction Ltd. History: I paid in full $6,412.50 on March 12, 2026. I informed the sales rep / Justin Kukuruda that I would be traveling from March 17th and returning to Pittsburgh on April 8th. On April 8th I called to get the status of my project. (614.826.4734). I spoke with Josh who was unable to help me; he gave my call to Paige (scheduling department). Paige informed me that they are "waiting for materials" and that the rep. Justin did NOT need a permit from the code enforcement office (Penn Hills, PA). I told her that was wrong. I had a personal visit with the Penn Hills Code Enforcement officer prior to meeting with Justin. The Officer gave me the necessary form to complete. I gave that form to Justin during our meeting (March 12th). I told Paige the form is necessary and asked where it is? Paige said she would contact Peggy, who works with Justin and get back to me on the next day - it was about 4:36 and she said they close at 5 p.m. I called again (twice) on April 9th (no retun call from Paige or Peggy). So, I called. I was informed via Paige that Peggy postal mailed the Code Enforcement form due to the fact the Enforcement office will not accept on-line payments, etc. However, Paige (I guess Peggy as well) did not know when exactly Peggy mailed the form. And, that although that form is time sensitive, it was "just put in the mail, she thinks" without any tracking information. I questioned since we are about 4 weeks since I've fully paid; why is there no definitive information on the status; why is no tracking on this form? After speaking with Paige, I immediately spoke with Justin who is the Chief Code Enforcement Officer for Penn Hills. I explained the reason for my call and he was good enough to check three places; only to discover there was no form reveived in his office for my project's address. I also asked Justin if those documents are usually tracked in the mail; he said , "yes" most all companies track those types of documents. . As of April 15, I had not received any call back, any communications from Peggy. So, I called again on April 15th, this time Annie answered my call. I explained this history of my calls/questions. She put me on hold and said she attempted to connect with Peggy - she did not. Annie stated she will communicate with Peggy and that (again) Peggy will get back to me. Peggy (again) did not. On April 16th, I spoke with Justin the Chief Code Enforcement Officer in Penn Hills at the end of the day. I again asked him if his office has received the Code form / communication from R E Connors Construction Ltd. for my address. Negative. I then called (614.826.4734) twice; neither of the calls were answered; no option to leave a voice mail (perhaps that number has caller ID?). So, another day went by with no call back from Peggy or anyone. If Peggy mailed the Code Enforcement form even a few days past March 12, it should have arrived by now to the Enforcement Office. If Peggy made up a story that she mailed it - only after - my inquiry on April 8th - still it should have arrived by now. It seems to be an impossibility to get, the truth and/or a customer courtesy call (from Peggy) about the status of a fully paid project - WHY? - it's been 35 days as of today. It would be appreciated if some professional in authority would connect with me about the status of my fully paid project. When I met with Justin Kukuruda (Connors Rep) on March 12th, I explained I do travel a good deal, and that timing of this project completion was very important. Hopefully, someone in authority will respect that and get back to me with updates and actual information. I don't feel that any customer's questions or concerns should be repeatedly ignored. Just a great experience at Lowe's working with my dad on an issue with custom blinds that were the wrong length. It was a factory issue. So, I went into Lowe's Monroeville to purchase (3) sliding Barn doors with glass panels. All of the contractor spaces were filled- One had a motorcycle occupying the space. The doors are heavy, awkward, and fragile; I have a severe injury to one of my legs, it is difficult for me to negotiate large objects. Once the doors were brought to my jobsite (a property that I own), I discovered that one of the doors was missing the top rail. (It appeared that this door was once opened and possibly returned). I picked up the replacement rail at Lowe's in Scott Township. We unpacked the rest of the door and discovered that it had been critically damaged, and the top board was actually broken in half. I contacted the store and was told to send pictures and an explanation, which I did. I had one of my carpenters repair the door and install it, with the damaged part facing the wall on top. I was asking for a partial credit, as it was too costly for me to keep running around to exchange this damaged good. The selection at this store in Monroeville Pa is average of any Lowe's or Home Depot. The service is HORRIBLE! Either the employees completely ignore you, or are rude. I had issues with a washer and dryer delivery and installation. I ordered mulch in April and have had nothing but headaches. Customer service in the store could not care less about any issue that you have. They often go out of their way to ignore you or make it your fault. Their answer to rectifying my mulch order was to cancel it. I finally called corporate to address the issue. Home Depot is out of the way and more expensive...but that's where I will be spending my money from now on. There is not enough space here for me to describe how horribly I was treated. And how absolutely no one in the store could have cared less. 1/2 star is more appropriate. Very disappointed. read more

I was doing self checkout and pushed the button for help. The attendant Linda told me to look up the item myself on my phone as it was missing a barcode. Like ok I thought your job was to assist me? So I did and we continued checking out and as I was leaving she stopped me to look at my receipt. She did not check a single other receipt. I told her she should've helped me and done her job if she didn't believe I was capable of looking up an item. She then took my receipt out of my hand. Then was muttering under her breath and rolling her eyes when I asked to speak to her manager. So rude and disrespectful. Lowe's doesn't answer their phones either, and hold times are RIDICULOUS for help simply with delivery services, which of course is a seperate number. Lowe's is a good option for a big-box store for all the usual home improvement, appliance, outdoor plants stuff. I really don't have a preference of either Lowe's or Home Depot. Wherever I live, whichever is more convenient to home is usually the one I choose. This go-round, Lowe's is my choice for convenience. I mainly am posting a review to say that I was especially pleased with their outdoor plant selection this past Mother's Day weekend. They were all healthy, reasonably priced, and hands-down they had the healthiest, biggest bleeding heart plants of 380 Auction, Stanford Home Center and here. Yeah, that's just a random fact but thought I'd throw it out there. They also had calla lilies that the others mentioned did not. read more

We are in the process of completing a bathroom remodel and Lowe's has been right there the whole time. From summer flowers, to winter sidewalk salt, door knobs to floor grout, we find it and a helpful staff member to assist. Returns, when needed, are a snap. This is a review for Lowe's Pro Services. The store itself probably deserves a 3.5/5 rating but their services merits a 0/5. May = initial estimate. Looked low and itemized. Based on just the price, we chose Lowe's to do our siding install project June = measurements done and full amount close to $6000 paid. No deposit, no payment chunks, just full out all our money given up to Lowe's without any work done yet. First red flag July = no updates, no work done, no guaranteed time frame, just an estimate August = aaaaaand...here come the delays. Supposed to start work the second week of August but no notifications, no communication from Lowe's about anything. Hubby and I had to call and email incessantly only to get a terse answer that the time frame is not guaranteed from the original salesman who sold this project to us, Greg. End of August, some work from Nasco (contractors) starts but instructions from Lowe's are unclear and erroneous. Nasco workers seemed a bit young and inexperienced. They didn't even have a dumpster to clear away our old cedar siding. September = no end in sight. The side of the house is done by now but the bay window siding is neglected. Lowe's comes back to us and says this was never in the contract even though I had the verbal and email assurance that this was going to be included. More weeks roll by and Greg, the guy who indeed assured me the bay window siding was included had the gall to deny fault and charge us an additional $1500 for less than 30 ft2 of siding. We talked to his supervisor who was informed of the entire situation and apologized and said Lowe's would finish out the job. Still no talk of a time frame or anything. It's now 9/15 and NO emails, NO calls about when this siding project will be finished. I have learned my lesson and to warn everyone to never work with Lowe's Pro Services. They are anything but professional, timely, communicative or even decent. read more

Like most other people, I go to Lowe's when I have a DIY project, or in another example when your washer breaks down the day after Christmas. I don't have a ton of positive or negative things to say. The most recent project I was working on was an outdoor fire pit remodel. I purchased nearly all my supplies here and had to make several trips back because I would run out of supplies, or misjudged my quantities. Clearly I am an amateur DIY-er. I think my biggest problem was I didn't feel they had a very good selection considering how big the place is. About one and a half aisles of stone and paver products. Amongst those are mostly paver products, not suitable for this project. I could have went elsewhere but I really didn't want to make my day any longer and settled on the only thing that could have worked for this project that was color agreeable. In the end it worked out ok, but I was hoping for something different. Inside is a plethora of items for the home. They rarely lack people on the floor to point you in the direction of where you want to go. That is with a few exceptions. When I came here to buy my washer I had to wait 20 minutes for a salesperson to become available to purchase my washer. I was quite irritated, ready to leave, though it was not his fault. There were probably 4-5 other people looking at appliances and only one salesperson to help them. Not sure if that is how it always is, but for this specific area they really need at minimal two people assisting customers. The store is convenient, organized, and clean. Every worker I ever dealt with was pleasant and helpful, so there are some redeeming factors to what they lack. read more

Don't buy anything here that requires any assistance from anyone from the store employees. The Monroeville Store does not answer the phone. If you are in the store you will hear the PA system constantly saying that a customer needs assistance. I am shocked that Lowes charges to give an estimate for installation of shower doors - and the price they quote for the estimate ($35) is not the price charged at the store - $65! I was looking to buy a shower door at Lowes and have it installed. I went through the Lowes website to get an installation estimate and was told I had to pay $35, at the store to get a 'detail'. I went to the Monroeville location at 4:40pm on 10/31/2020 and a guy in the Kitchen Design dept told me the cost was $65 for the 'detail'. I showed him the email from Lowes that said the price was $35 and he said 'too bad' - this store charges $65. I left mad. This morning,11/2/2020, Lisa from Flooring at the Monroeville store called to see if I still wanted to buy the 'detail'. I spend a lot of time at this and other Lowes stores but this experience was especially good. I was looking for bathroom tile and the store had recently been reorganized and I was having trouble finding ceramic tile that didn't look like wood. I have hardwood floors throughout my house and I needed something a little different. So I walked back to the flooring section and connected with Nick who was assisting a customer over the phone but he assured me that he would help me as soon as he was done. While he was wrapped up his phone call, he walked us over to see the different ceramic tile options. I immediately fell in love with a beautiful marble style tile and he looked up the product to make sure there was enough in stock. Sure enough there were but.. they were not in the bay they belonged in. This is where, in my opinion, Nick went above and beyond for a customer... he went box by box in this huge isle of floor tile until he found two boxes that were randomly placed in the wrong spot. He opened the boxes to make sure none were broken, picked up the very heavy (78 pound) boxes and put them in my cart for me. He made sure all of my questions were answered and he helped me get all other tools I needed before he left to help another customer. I was blow away by my experience, I will be back to Lowes since home projects never seem to end but I will keep an eye out for Nick since he was so great to work with! read more

This has to be the worst Lowes in the region. I purchased a microwave in January and was told the microwave would take a couple weeks because it was special order, I waited however it became the end of February beginning of March called and they kept saying it's not in yet. Finally went to the store beginning, getting ready to be middle of March and they acted like it wasn't even ordered. I spoke to the manager of the department and he kept looking for the order and finally found that the microwave had been sitting in their store room since February 4th. I couldn't believe it. Then, they had the nerve (Rich) the guy who sold it to me, to laugh it off and say this happens all the time. I'm not surprised....what the? Then he scheduled delivery for the microwave to be delivered...the next week...microwave gets to my house and it is crashed and damaged. Went to speak with someone in the store about it and they acted like it was no big deal! I had been waiting for a microwave that was sitting in their store room since February and now it's the middle of March? I will be contacting corporate! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM...by the way this is the second time in this store something like this has happened to me. I've given up. I tried to buy a dishwasher and installation from them, but never heard back from them once they had my money. After calling them 6 times, and still having no resolution, I canceled the order. Even that took several calls! As an aside, I was at the Monroeville Lowe's today, and it was MOBBED! I counted 27 people in line at Customer Service! They are not following the CDC guidelines for coronavirus, because they are not limiting the number of people in the store. Tomorrow I'll buy a dishwasher someplace else, and I will turn Lowe's in the the health department for violating the required guidelines. read more

Like all Lowe's, this store was clean and well-organized and filled with friendly employees who were ready to answer your questions--in fact, they often come up to you when you're staring blankly at a wall of screws instead of making you seek them out (e.g., HD). I have lots of questions about the items I need for my DIY projects, especially when I haven't done them before, such as home repairs, and they're usually ready to answer my question. I can find help about 50x faster at Lowe's than HD; this store meets my expectations in this area. If you chose Lowe's, make sure to pick the "right" Lowe's for your needs. The selection definitely varies from store to store. This Monroeville store tends to focus on large houses with large yards and the large tools they use. (On the other hand, the Lowe's at the Waterfront, for example, caters to city houses so they have a lot more small gardening items and a lot less snow blowers and lawn mowers.) Also, Lowe's has a nice appliance section so if you're looking for a washer dryer or the dishwasher, the selection at Lowe's is much larger than HD. I think Lowe's compares much more to Sears in this respect. In fact, we just got our washer dryer from Lowe's, and we're very pleased with the service and the price. However, don't pay retail. Watch for sales--especially appliances they occur quite often! read more

2/5 stars because they have decent lumber IF you pick through it yourself. There are a ton of bad pieces but also a lot of good straight pieces. Their staff, however is the absolute WORST. On multiple occasions I've tried to get a couple cuts done on plywood for my project at their wood cutting station. They have nobody to operate it and pages are 100% unanswered. I complained to their manager about it (at the customer service desk in the complete opposite corner of the store) and all they did was look at the schedule, tell me who was supposed to be there, but that they haven't seen them that day. I asked if they could go cut it for me, and they said no, I'd just have to walk around and try to find the one person on the floor who is certified to use the wood cutter. I spent an hour waiting around and having them page this guy. Their management and staff is total trash, Lowes should be embarrassed by how horrible their service is. I dare any member of Lowes corporate to try to get a piece of wood cut at Monroeville lowes. read more

Honestly the worst place to go I went to get pink tinted they had an in training associate name Greg White 50 year old male continue ain't telling me that he's retired part time job and doesn't really care what he's doing here it was so obnoxious that I finally had to say please talking to me. To make a long story short. We bought shower doors and we wanted frosted glass with them. They did not have it and said it would be a week at most for them to get it. 3 weeks later still no call, so we call them which they apologize for not calling and our order is in. When we get there employee looks and can't find it. Starts filling other orders and ignores us when we try to talk to her (She was really rude). We talk to the manager she can't find our order and what we ordered nobody has it in the United States. So basically we paid lowes for a product they do not have. Had to deal with a rude employee and wasted over an hour of our time. Had to pay money to borrow a van and had to put gas into it. I mostly shop here when I want a light, tile or flooring but otherwise for wood and anything involving tools or bits I got to HD. This morning, i ordered a Job Site box on the website to make sure one was put on hold for me. i ordered at about 6:45 this morning. note on order said they were short staffed so would take a little while to pull. gave them benefit of doubt and went to store just after 10:00. the item had still not been pulled, asked that i go and retrieve myself, and nice lady said sure, they showed two in stock. i went to shelf and the large metal job box was not there, neither of them. went back to customer service figuring maybe it was pulled for me and just not noted, nope, person that was pulling the orders said they could find neither of them..... so two large job site boxes missing, and not a phone call that order could not be completes. while the ladies were nice that were attempting to aide me, i quite often find it frustrating that what is said to be there is not there. and not the first time. I hired Lowe's in Monroeville to install 3 doors custom ordered . Once they had my money I was at their mercy . It took four delivery attempts even at one point getting a wrong door delivered. my entry door was never installed first contractor according to the second contractor measured my Pella door wrong . I have over one call into them and finally am only getting part of my money back . Never ever use them . Once they have your money Corporate doesn't care . Read your contract they have you locked in . Well, we purchased appliances on approx 5/18/18 and selected a delivery date of 6/2/18. I called on 6/1/18 to confirm that the appliances were set to be delivered. I was advised that my appliances were not set to be delivered until 6/9/18! Later that day, the rep called back and said he was mistaken and that the delivery date was 6/2/18. On Saturday 6/2/18 we waited all day for our appliances. At 4:00 I called the "Deliveries" dept and was told that one of their delivery trucks broke down and they had to reschedule my delivery. I asked when someone was going to call and let me know this info.. The rep said, "oh, I thought someone called you". The delivery was rescheduled for Monday 6/4/18 between 4:30 and 6:30 PM. On 6/4/18 at approx 9:30 am, I started contacting Lowes to confirm that my delivery was still set. I made a total of 14 calls to the store. A few times I was put on hold for ridiculous amounts of time; a few times, the call was disconnected.. transfers didn't go through.. "Deliveries" dept would not pick up. At call number #13 I was able to speak with a manager who put me on hold to check the delivery schedule. I was on hold 35 minutes. While on hold (on my cell phone), I used my work phone to make the 14th call. I spoke with another manager who was able to tell me that the delivery was scheduled between 4:30-6:30. I left work at 2:00 and arrived home at 3:00, only to find a notice on my door from Lowes indicating "sorry we missed you"!! The time written on the notice was 1:14 pm. Livid at this point, I checked my voicemail messages and listed to a message at 9:30 am from Lowes Delivery indicating that they were on their way; then at 12:30pm, they would be there soon. I called the number left on my voicemail and advised the gentleman that my delivery appointment was 4:30!! The gentlemen explained that they had a few cancellations and decided to come early. I said I was home and they could come through. The gentlemen said I would have to call the store to set up another appointment!! I said that was unacceptable and my appliances needed to be delivered TODAY and since they had cancellations, it shouldn't be a problem to delivery my appliances, at least at the scheduled time. He again, referred me to call the store. I asked the gentlemen his name so I can reference it when I called Lowes. The gentlemen tells me his name is LOWES DELIVERY. I said, sorry, I need your first name for reference. Again he says LOWES DELIVERY. At this point all of my professional politeness went out the door and I said," sir don't play with me.. I know your parents didn't name you LOWES DELIVERY". He, again advises me to call the store. I called the store, spoke with a manager and demanded that my appliances be delivered that day! Within 30 minutes, 2 delivery guys show up. (Not sure if Mr. Lowes Delivery was one of the delivery guys). Anyway, after all of that, one of guys asked me if we purchased the appliances new or used... why.... BECAUSE MY STOVE WAS DAMANGED!! read more

I am always able to find what I need and get assistance when I need it. I purchased storm doors just prior to the pandemic and obviously had my installation date pushed back a few times. Mike, the installer, was always professional and timely with returning calls and keeping me informed. Once able, he did a fantastic job reframing and installing our doors. read more

Worst customer service ever. Wanted to exchange a broken thermostat for a new one. It turned into a whole spectacle that included an employee inferring that I was a liar, another employee putting her hand in my face to essentially tell me to shut up, and a manager rolling his eyes at me. Part 2- After a little more back and forth, "Wendy", with another new guy at the computer, come to the "conclusion" that I hadn't ordered it in the first place! Oops! Must have been dreaming. But wait! Wendy, how is it possible that you have could have pulled up my name and credit card information when I gave you my phone number??? Weird. At this point, after close to an hour breathing next to un-masked Lowe's folk, I'm so frustrated that I don't even call her on her obvious lie, and make a slight scene, and leave the place. She obviously sold it, I told her. They made no effort to reserve it like I had asked. They didn't put my name on it, like I had asked (and been assured). I'll bet they didn't even check to see if there was even one back there. So now I'm leaving Lowe's in Monroeville empty handed after driving 45 minutes one way, standing in line for an additional 45, blood pressure probably through the roof at this point. Ahhhhh....almost home, I think. About after a half hour drive back, I'm out of Monroeville and getting back into the country. But no. Just as the beads of sweat on my forehead are drying up and I'm putting this fiasco behind me, I get a call from...you guessed it...Wendy!! "Yeah, sir, I can't tell you how sorry we are, but the truck with the freezers just arrived". (Uhh...B.S., Wendy. You told me yesterday that you had 4 in stock--never mentioned a truck or a delivery. I of course didn't say this, but this would be lie #2 if you're keeping track at home.) She was the last person in the world I wanted to talk to at the time, so I told her I would call her back after thinking about my options. She was very apologetic and nice on the phone, so after considering forgetting the whole thing, picking the freezer up in the morning, or just driving back and grabbing the dang thing, I decided to just turn around. So I called and asked to have it ready and I would be there in a half an hour. (Hour and 15 on road so far). I get there expecting a freezer with a bow on it and a half dozen guys to load it in my car. Nope! I FIND THE EXACT SAME SITUATION that I had just escaped from. Exactly the same. (I even think a few customers were still in the same place in line). I gotta go....long story short, absolutely terrible. I would never spend this much energy on a review if It wasn't. Come to think of it, this is the first review I've ever done. Just don't go. Ahh..I spent another half hour to 45 minutes in there waiting for someone to get it from "the back". I then bypassed any sort of Lowe's employee, put it in my car, and took off for home. If there had been any liquor stores open during this virus thing, I'd probably have stopped at 2. We are doing a complete kitchen renovation and because of that we need all new appliances. I first tried Home Depot, awful experience(another story for another day). After that experience I just went home because I was so frustrated. Recently, about two weeks ago, I went to lowes with my dad. I asked him to help me pick out appliances for the new kitchen so I didn't get frustrated again. We were greeted by Greg in the appliance department and he was so wonderful! Very knowledgeable about all the products and very honest with us about everything. He told us to wait till Memorial Day to buy because they would have a huge deal. Fast forward to Memorial Day weekend and we went and spoke with greg again and he was able to get us prices quickly and help us with everything. We were in and out and I have a toddler so that is a huge deal for us because she gets so fussy! read more

This Lowes is very religious. What religion you ask? I'm not sure exactly. What is it called when you have some type of devout belief to never have more than 1 register in the lumber section open at once? It's an unspoken rule, practiced 24/7 every day. Was very pleased with the customer service at Lowe's. The carpet is great and the installers were great. The installing company, Romano's, is another story. Called soft manager to tell him that a door would not close after installation and was told to shave the door down or buy thinner carpet. Would not buy any more carpet from Lowe's if Romano's is the installer. read more
