Price on one board foot depends on thickness. 4/4 (1 inch) takes less time to dry than 8/4 (2 inch), so one board foot of 8/4 costs more than the same volume of 4/4. 4/4 cherry runs around $5 a board foot; most surfaced (smooth) lumber from the region will be between $2 to $10/bf. Not only did they assemble and test it, they took the time to show me all the intricacies of care, use, maintenance and safety features. Very knowledgable and helpful.
