I feel so much better supporting a store like this than a big box store whenever possible. They have an enormous selection of pretty much anything you could need. I have bought many of the trees and bushes in my yard here. They have usually been successful, but on the rare occasion one hasn't, they have stood by their warranty and offered a replacement. I had two dogwood trees fare poorly before coming to the conclusion that my location or soil simply wasn't right for that tree and replacing it with a weeping cherry from here, which is absolutely thriving. I also have a Koi pond and get all of my fish supplies here, including very nice water lilies every spring after I do a deep clean of my pond. They have all of the flowers, vegetables and herbs, mulches, soils and gardening tools you might be looking for. I sometimes find prices here to be just a dollar or two more expensive than some other places, but I don't mind when I'm supporting such a nice local store. Always staff available to help, which you just don't get at other places.

You'll probably pay a little bit more here compared to a large retailer, but you're paying for the education as well and the vast selection.

The vibe of store is super relaxing and the smell of eucalyptus is strong and inviting when you walk in. This shop definitely gives off more high end vibes. There are more down to earth spots in the neighborhood where prices might be a bit lower for the same thing. City Grows is more curated and aesthetically pleasing and is a really nice experience from start to finish overall. The back patio is beautiful and it's fun to see all the outdoor plants thrive. I've bought several plants from here and the quality is on par with the price. Plan on spending a bit of money but you'll be happy with the results and lifespan of your plants.

After looking around the shop for about 20 minutes I found two things that I felt might be appropriate. And I asked her why, and she said that she has never had success propagating plants. So I declined to purchase anything from her shop. To me as the owner of a plant store, you should be able to provide simple advice, or suggestions to your clients on plants, as well as how to keep them healthy in the future.
