My wife and I stopped at this Lowe's location to pick up several things that we needed for home in the area, which we had just purchased. We found some carpet that we liked and noticed that they also had a very good pad to go under it. We talked with Wes in the flooring department and he was amazing even though it was only a few minutes before their closing time. We got all of the help that we needed and another person came out to our house to measure where the carpet went, so we can figure out how much we need and pay for the installation. I went back a next day to buy some more stuff to treat the floor and also some paint brushes, rollers, and all the equipment that I needed. I also got a lock box for the house. I like Lowe's because they are very helpful and the people that work there seem to actually want to help you as opposed to other places. I found some flooring I liked and needed to get it installed. Lowe's scheduled me with a company to come out and measure and all was well. I then began researching Marc's Flooring online (the company Lowe's scheduled me with) and found they had a solid 1.2 star rating with multiple reviews about them doing a bad job, being unreliable, and even damaging customer homes and vehicles. Um, no thanks. I called Lowe's back and asked them to schedule me with a different company and was told they couldn't. Apparently, every Lowe's in our area has an exclusive contract with Marc's flooring or something, because they said they ONLY use Marc's. I cancelled my measurement appointment and went elsewhere for my flooring. I didn't want to knock the star rating down too far since this is regional, but corporate really needs to find a new flooring installer. read more

Bought outside fireplace from Lowes in Lee's Summit 9 months ago. Complained about how it didn't draft correctly or as I thought it should. Lowes representative told me they just sell them. I would need to contact manufacturer. Called them never did anything. Now 9 months later the top smoke stack etc is rusting bad. We had one before this that lasted for years. Service is horrible. I have used there service for years and have purchased an ungodly amount of products from them using their new rewards card. Sent my wife to buy some pavers and she used a different card and got the wrong ones. When I came back to exchang them for the cortext pavers the individual was very condescending and simply didn't care. after being told without a receipt or the card used she would not exchange Them. when informed about all The purchases on the rewards card she didn't even look at the history and simply didn't care about helping people just wants to visi with other workers and play on her phone. Service for mower purchased there. Should have been covered under the Lowe's warranty. Lowe's service department picked mower up it had 23 hrs drive time. It just needed a belt! They had it for a month. When it was returned it had 32 hours of drive time. And they tried to charge $380 to fix something that was under warranty! My question is does that then effect the warranty that I had. They put 10 hours of drive time that wasn't on it when they took it? It would be nice if the manager took the time to please explain? Writing this review for the simple fact nobody can give a direct answer. This is a very wishy washy service department! Picking up the phone would be great.!!!! read more

A Notch Above their Competition First off, I consider Lowe's the perfect example of a "home and garden" center geared toward the suburban homeowner. I think of a hardware store as one where you can buy 2 10mm bolts or 6 washers rather than prepackaged assortments of nuts and bolts. I know, call me old fashioned. But back to their competition, they have a store exactly one mile from my home. While they stock similar items, I usually find a broader selection with more higher quality goods and better prices at Lowe's. When I am not being picky I head for one mile drive, when I am feeling picky I drive the additional 9 miles to Lowe's. I also like the way that they handle "not available in store" items. Their selection seems better and process for in store pickup is more efficient, again at a better price. Over in the garden section their plants and garden tools / equipment appears to follow that same model. It is also easier to get someone to help load your purchase. The layout of the store feels a lot more customer friendly. Their aisles seem to be a bit wider, making it easier for customers to pass each other. While they have made an effort to prioritize customer support and service, they sadly have jumped on the self check out bandwagon. I do not have to deal with that at Tractor Supply or Ace Hardware and can still buy that single 10mm bolt. Guess that is the price I have to pay for their larger selection of goods. Do I recommend this Lowe's over similar stores in the area? Yes, but with qualification - it depends on exactly what I want to buy. The new microwave comes from Lowe's (including their Veteran's discount) and that 10mm bolt comes from the less glitzier stores. read more

Of course the first thing is this Lowes is close to my home, so I love that. But there is a hardware store and an Orange store also close to my house. What keeps me coming back is the selection, pricing and service. I always find what I am looking for here. When I ask questions they don't look at me like I am from outer space they help me and educate me. I am sure they laugh once I leave and they would have good reason to. For home, garden office they have things well covered. My major tip for Lowes is they run an unbelievable sale on charcoal twice a year. If you love to BBQ don't miss the sale! Dropped by this past Sunday for a quick run-through... the store is fairly clean and organized. Overall, prices are reasonable and somewhat competitive. Never had much of an opportunity to speak with a sales associate, as there were few around and all were occupied with other customers or with other projects. We simply wanted to look for outdoor porch lights... the signage isn't completely accurate in the store - we were on a wild-hunt for the lighting... finally found it. Never fun to have to look for the single thing you wish to walk-in and buy. We did purchase the product we looked at but ultimately returned it as we found better prices and product at the orange competitor up the street. Overall, I generally prefer Lowe's to the competition - their product tends to be "classier" - however, this time we didn't find that to be true - we will always return to Lowe's... they are simply consistent with good selections. read more

NEVER HAVE LOWES INSTALL DOORS!!!! Horrible experience ordering new interior doors. Ordered March 2021. Guys who dropped off doors literally dropped them on garage floor and broke door jam. Had to be reordered and took several months to arrive. Also, one door was ordered swinging wrong way. First day of install, only six of 8 doors could be installed (June 2021), installers dropped tool and cracked my new bathroom floor tile. Called installation and they said no problem. Would be fixed at end of job. Waited 6 weeks and went up to Lowes to see when other two doors would arrive. The installer had never called to reorder them. Initial install was missing molding around double closet door. In December, final two doors arrived. Installed those then realized the inner molding for closet doors was missing. Another lovely encounter with door install guys. Then had to deal with install customer service for 5 more months to get cracked tile fixed. So, finally, 13 months after original order interior door project is finally in. read more

We purchased a Samsung Convection Oven and had a C-31 error in first 2-weeks. The store refused to do an extra and sent a repair man. Now, the warranty has needed and same code but $495 repair bill. Very, Very, Very Poor Customer Service!! Even the manager only said, I'm sorry! An expensive lesson to learn ... should have returned unit and select another vendor. read more

Our 6 yr old dryer we purchased from Lowe's needed expensive repairs. We decided to purchase a new one from Lowe's. We were assured by the employee in appliances their delivery team would remove the old dryer, and do whatever was necessary to install the new one, including possibly unhooking/moving the washer over so the dryer could be installed. On 4-4-2023 the deliver guys came with our new dryer. They refused to do anything other than drop it off and remove the old one. We told them Lowe's had assured us they would hook it up, and move the washer if necessary to get it in. They refused. We told them to return the dryer to Lowe's which they did. We spoke to a manager who informed us they contract out deliveries and no longer provide any service except dropping off a new appliance. We asked for a full refund, including the extended warranty package we purchased. We received a refund for the new dryer, but had to return to the store to get the extended warranty refunded (which we *finally* did accomplish). This store is but a shadow of what it used to be. We will never again buy any appliance from Lowe's. The manager was not very helpful and seemed to not care. read more

I love a clean home improvement store. This Lowe's is clean, bright, and accessible. How is it that Tiger always get to post before me? Everywhere I want to post and think that I will be the first, there I see my buddy Tiger! This place has every thing that you could need for your home, office, garden, or any place you want to improve. I never leave bad reviews but this was probably the most dissatisfied in a retail company that I've been in a long time!! First of all, when asking an associate for help was given a finger to hold on while he finishes a conversation on the phone ( older male with Grey hair ) finally when he gets off the phone basically has no knowledge of any product I'm asking him to find for me so instead of calling another associate to help basically tells me good luck. After that couldn't find any associate at all!! Then the most part I'm disgusted about is because a young lady named Chelle was EXTREMELY RUDE and very childish! I asked if I could check out with her and all I got back was a huge sigh like if I was annoying her giving my money to Lowe's. All o got was attitude when asking questions about a credit card so I decided I won't get a credit card with Lowe's. Not only was the store neat, clean and organized there was a plethora of friendly associates who helped me complete my shopping list in record time and with record savings. I ended up at Lowe's because I needed more mulch . I had bought 2 truck loads at the recycle center for $28 a load(wonderful product). Well they closed at 3 so I went to Lowe's and bought 30 bags of hardwood mulch for $90, 3 times the price and the quality was awful. Probably 7-10 bags were moldy and white . This stuff was crap, but I had opened the bags and didn't want to deal with the headache of trying to scoop it up and take it back. Anyway, be careful what you buy and how much you pay. We went to this Lowe's and had an excellent experience. Before we left for the store we called because we had already been to a different location looking for a specific Christmas tree and several other items. We spoke with Lacy, and she is an absolute rock star!!! I told her that another store said that the Lee's Summit location had the items we were looking for in stock, however the other store also said that they had the items in stock, and they were incorrect. Lacy walked around the store and located every item I was looking for, while I was on the phone, to verify that it was in stock. Then when we arrived to the store we asked for her and she walked with us to each item to show us where they were. I just want the Lowe's leadership to know that Lacy who works at customer service is the epitome of customer service, she is a phenomenal employee, and a fantastic steward for your store! I visited and collected several items only to find out Lowe's prices items differently for Contractors. The contractor price is large and easily readable the homeowner price is smaller and easy to overlook. I feel this is deceptive as many people will only look and see the lower contractor price and then be charged the higher homeowner price. I left all my items at the check out and will not buy from Lowe's again. In addition I found the store too large and difficult to shop in with out roaming the extra long and high isles. And having used Home Depot in the past I find that Lowe's prices are higher. This was my third visit in 3 years, guess it will be sometime before I visit again. Very disappointed with their customer service. I bought an assembled gas grill in Plano, TX and brought it to my daughter in Lee's Summit. When attaching the propane tank we found that they had not attached the regulator. I drove to this store with the supporting documentation to get the part. They said it wasn't their problem and refused to provide the needed part. I had to buy the part which I felt I shouldn't have had to do. Needless to say, my son in-law says he'll use the other Lowe's in the future. read more

One checker inside near self check out. She was overworked and could not keep up with her register and self check outs messing up. Waited 20 minutes to try and check out while line grew back into isle. Customer service had 2 or 3 and even at request did not send anyone to help. Ended up going to outside register after waiting at customer service for 5 more minutes and it would have been another 20 if I would not have gone outside. read more

It took far to long to find an employee who could give advice on planting new grass seed. Found out the "go to" employee was at lunch so that's understandable but they should maybe have two trained employees available. He explained everything pretty well and he sold me a 50 pound bag of seed, starter fertilizer, and peat moss. Waited in line to pay for it then went around the building in my truck to pick up the peat moss only to be told they had sold out almost a week ago! So had to park again, walk back in, and wait in line to get my money back. Ended up retuning everything and went to a locally owned grass store. MUCH better experience there. read more

Purchased new doors and windows last March. Happy to say that as of today all has been installed. Took 9 months. Love my Pella Windows and doors, loved my installer Robbi. For some reason the missing screen door took 6 months to finally get installed. Missing at first, lost second and finally reordered at the request of the installer. If you are ok babysitting the project and calling repeatedly for assistance, this is great. If you think the Lowe's staff is going manage the project, go elsewhere. read more

When I contacted the store for an update (for the fifth or sixth time), I was once again told that they have no earthly idea what THEIR CONTRACTOR is doing. It's absolutely laughable that this place has the audacity to offer service and literally service is nonexistant. I paid for the privacy fence that I DON'T yet have on Oct. 12, 2017. We have had a TERRIBLE experience with (actually 2) with different Lowe's contracting companies. They got everything corrected by the first one after an absolutely TERRIBLE tile job which was agreeable by all Lowe's employees. Now we are having to deal with @THEAPPLIANCECARECOMPANY for repairs to our fridge. Let me tell you how this goes.... and the end result..... the company blatantly LIED to Lowe's and now we are no longer receiving assistance for our refrigerator repairs. Without even speaking to the customer!!! Read their reviews on FB, Google, and Yelp Lowe's. This company will do anything to save a contract for ongoing services. You should listen to the customers. AND to boot... read the company's responses!!!!! They are cold, rude, condescending, and blatantly taking zero accountability for their actions (or lack thereof). Technicians and customer service TERRIBLE!!!! AFTER THREE SERVICE CALLS STILL NO FRIDGE!!! 3 visits from their technicians who had three different things to say; and don't even show up on time. Lowe's has this company contracted for their warranty services. Our refrigerator was making noise so we called. Of course you have to have a five hour time window. The technician shows up, looks at a few things, takes things off/ puts things on, and says nothing is wrong with it. The following day our fridge is not even COOLING and we lost EVERYTHING in fridge literally two days before a birthday in the house. It was working fine (except the noise) before the technician showed up. So we call... no apologies... no empathy... just that we have to wait longer and spend another half day off work for him to come back. Another half day off work he returns, was here less than five minutes, and said it needed several parts replaced. A few days later we can schedule ANOTHER half work day for him to come and replace the parts. Only to have the technician show up beyond the five-hour window that was scheduled only to find out it all needs to be defrosted and he can't do anything- so a THIRD half day of taking off work completely wasted. NO fridge for almost two weeks now, NEVER an apology or any sign of empathy from customer service. Call customer service because, of course, you are pissed you have wasted three half days off work and no fridge for almost two weeks and if you show any sign of being pissed off they hang up on you; no curse words exchanged- just upset and looking for answers as well as a working fridge. We have children in the house on summer vacation, hosting out-of-town guests, and celebrating a birthday yet they expressed zero empathy and took zero accountability for their technicians. read more

Tried their online form twice to setup a time for an estimate on new flooring. The form says they will call you within 24 hours...no calls at all. Finally after a week I call them and they tell me I'm on the list and someone will call me within 48 hours. Finally 72 hours later someone does call and says they will be out Monday between Noon and 5pm and that they will call 1/2 an hour before. No call, and they never show. Spent the entire day at home waiting on them. Basically I'm standing here trying to throw money at them for floors and they are just saying no thanks. Well, I believe I will be taking this wad of cash elsewhere. Hopefully to someone and someplace that actually wants to work and make some money. read more

Special order of 14 sections of 8856 Affinity, 011 Amber to match what was already installed in one room and obtain enough to complete a second room. Order to LP was made on 1/31/2014 from the Lee's Summit Lowes. Expected delivery was 2/20. made a trip into Lee's Summit to pick it up on 2/21, after employee said they thought they saw it. Product was not there. I was told they would call when "the guy" got back from lunch. On 2/22, called, and was informed that the product was supposed to have shipped on 2/18. Called on 2/24. still could not find product. Called on 2/26 to find out that product was shipped to the wrong store which sent it back. Operator said the product was due to be shipped back to Lee's Summit on 2/27. I may double down to a half star rating if after touring the country the "finished" product is not received in pristine shape, having toured the country. read more
