What a lousy experience!! We ordered a few items they did not have in stock. The associate told us the 4 items they had in stock, not to purchase them at the store and just have them shipped as well so we did. The associate never informed us that there was a $75 delivery fee and never told us that all but the 4 we were going to purchase was on back order. So we received the 4 shipped to us and ended up cancelling everything else. I handled this through their chat option. I requested a refund of the delivery fee for not being told about it and the fact that we would have just purchased the 4 items at the store that day. Was told they needed to schedule a pick up for those 4 items and I would need to return them for a refund of the delivery fee. After waiting for 10 days, reached back out to see where my refund is and they told me I was given misinformation again and there is nothing they can do. Then receive an email for another pick up. Contacted again and they told me the original pick up was cancelled by the store. I told them there is nothing to pick up because it has already been picked up. Again said there is nothing they can do. I HIGHLY recommend not dealing with Lowes! I never will again. read more

Who has an employee meeting in the entry area of their store?! Blocking the area so customers can't enter?! During their open hours?!!No one at check out to help customers bc they are all gathered in the entry. Clearly, zero management at this store!!! When I inquired about helping customers in front of me, the rude employee, who claimed to be a manager, said that they were busy having a meeting. The one guy couldn't checkout bc of no employees to help at self checkout. Not sure why they have self checkout register bc there is always a problem with their registers. ***Skimmer Action Fraud*** While shopping in the paint dept looking at painter tape, a Nigerian middle aged man wearing black hat & coat stands close to my right side. This close knit dude is now on my left and skimmer beeps start. He quickly turns to face other wall, after hooked on my side for awhile. I saw something in his right hand and a light before he flipped to the other wall. Now his left hand is in my view. I got a picture of this guy going thru self checkout. No higher up staff around. I called left a few messages for a manager to call me back, NO call. I did call the non emergency police # and an office did call me back and told me he was heading to the store.? · Lowes is certainly the worst Home Improvement firm. I had my entire house flooring done with Laminate by Lowes, Cost me almost 15 grand. Some of the quarter rounds started lifting up. I got to Lowes quickly and they promised it will be taken care of. That was 2 yrs ago, nothing has been done so far after several attempts to contact them. They have a glass cutting station, so we decided to buy the glass we needed from there but we ended up waiting for more than 45 mins to have the glass cut to the desired size. We asked the customer service and two other employees we needed some help..and it still took 45 mins. We bought a matching kitchen appliances at this store and wanted them delivered and installed . They came three times total with damaged appliances ( dents! Missing parts! Wrong microwave!) I sent them back and canceled my order on their third attempt, even though I didn't sign for anything or receive anything they didn't issue me a refund ! When I called they told me the stove was missing ( that I refused to accept and was on the truck )...I had to call and argue for a total of five days before they finally issued a refund. Came here to get some parts to repair my parents cabinet. I asked for help from three employees. The first two absolutely 100% did not give two sh**s about any questions I had, and it felt like I was really bothering them by asking them a simple question while they were stocking the shelves. I finally waited around and found someone that was really helpful in the lumber department. He was able to cut some pieces of wood to the size I needed. Seriously though.... this isn't the only Lowes that has this problem with employees that don't seem to care. Lowe's management needs to step it up and train their employees on proper customer service. I would only recommend coming here if you absolutely need to. read more

I would do 0 stars but that's not an option. We have had so many issues with stuff we bought from here being damaged, lost or we've been flat out lied to about products. I'm not one for leaving bad reviews but I don't know what else to do. We ordered stuff from here, product was out of stock so rather than giving us options, they simply canceled our order and didn't tell us. Had to go there, 20-30 minutes away from our house and argue as to why they weren't in. Finally we were able to pick up 2 different doors, months later. When the guys that are installing our doors have 2 huge holes in our house, they remove the doors from the boxes only to find significant damage to each door. I really liked this Lowe's location. I went to get some paint for my weekend project. I pushed the button at the paint counter and a very nice and knowledgeable person came to quickly make my two gallons. He was very helpful and I only had to wait a very short time (less than 3 minutes). The store was clean and parking and convenient. The only issue is finding some products that didn't fit into the signage for each aisle. I went Friday late afternoon. So maybe that was a non-peak shopping time. read more

Cathy in tools (or the grouchy old lady who worked at Sears for 13 years and feels she knows it all regarding Craftsman tool return policy).... In any case, attempted to return two torque wrench's, one inch-lb and one foot-lb, and was met with all sorts of resistance, attitude and an extensive wait to speak with a manager. In any case, Lowe's was absolutely useless with regards to returning the tool... but the Craftsman hotline had no issues replacing my tool, even with the upgraded one. I frequent Lowe's for most of my every day household and outdoor needs, and while it's not my favorite garden center in the area, this location hasn't let me down. The selection, prices, and personnel are all fairly decent as far as chain stores go without the extremely long lines I seem to encounter when I go to Home Depot. We have several yard projects in the works, so my most recent purchases have been from the outdoor and garden areas - mulch, soil amendments, hoses, sprinklers, etc. The later in the day, the more difficult it can be to find help transporting things, but once I find them, the attendants are always friendly and helpful. The next big project will put their paint center to the test. So far, the personnel there have been very helpful answering my questions about brushes and primers and have matched several color samples I've brought in with no problem. read more

First you could train your employees on. Customer service. At least at the W. Lancaster store where I usually shop. Regardless of the reason I shop there I consistently get rude, unhelpful employees. It also doesn't matter how much money you're I'm spending either. These people simply do not care. Apparently, it's the store's culture. I bought a deck, didn't get all the parts ordered, went there to find out what happened and was told the guy who sold me the deck had just gone to lunch, if I wanted I could wait around for an hour maybe he could help me. I spent thousands of dollars. They didn't care. I bought storm doors paid for installation and they told me I canceled the installation, which I did not nor could they find any record of me doing it, and if I wanted the doors installed I would have to pay again. I refused to give them any more money until they could prove I cancelled the installation. They couldn't show where I ever did it. Don't get me started on them putting up signs stating something is on Sal only when you get to the register it's not. If you ask them to go look at the signs, they will say they can't leave their post. Now I tell them to call me a manager who don't seem to care either, but will go look. Just yesterday, I was on my way to meet friends for dinner. I needed potting soil. I stopped in, asked the cashier if she could call someone to lift the bags. I didn't want to get all dirty before dinner. She said, "I can call someone, but there's no guarantee they are going to come." I couldn't believe a cashier would actually say that to a customer. This is by far the worst store in Lancaster county to shop. I have gotten better Customer Service at Ollie's. read more

I recently visited this store to purchase a few needed items. During my 15 minutes in your store I encountered 5 or 6 shoppers with no mask. At your front entrance you display a mask must be worn sign but I was told by the cashier you dont/won't ask people to complie. For me that is unacceptable and I will no longer shop at lowes until such time as it is safe to shop there. DO NOT DO IT- RECEIVED PARTIAL delivery, was told it would be there next day got no call and NO IT WAS NOT there th next day, NO ONE WAS TRACKING ME TO RECIEVE my delivery as when i called no one could find my order and kept daying you already reveived it... At the door they asked each person to put on a mask and were able to provide a mask in the event a customer did not have one. Will never shop at Lowe's again. The customer service is horrific!!!!! We bought appliance less than a year ago and 3 of them dont work properly and our wall oven completely stopped working. Lowe's sent out a repair man ($100 charge!)who said the entire compute system went out and we would have to pay $650!!!!!! We has a second repair man come to give us a second opinion and it was a $20 fuse that flew that took 10 minutes for him to fix. He went out of his way to address the starter ignition issues with my new Weber Genesis II grill. In fact to make sure everything was perfect, he came out to my home and fixed the wiring that was not connected properly. I have bought multiple things at this location and have given them many chances and will not step foot in the store again! Horrible customer service, nobody at the front desk knows what they're talking about or what they're doing. Even people in certain departments are clueless! Had a gift card that I used and person in appliances put it through wrong and said my gift card was lost in cyberspace. Meantime I didn't get my appliance and had to wait two weeks for them to return my $400 that was on gift card! Managers are even clueless! Was there tonight to return Hardware for kitchen cabinets. Gentleman at the front desk was very nice but had no idea what he was doing. He said he would get the manager. I stood there 20 minutes no manager ever came. When you call into the store "IF" you get through they put you to the wrong department etc. etc., or on hold with no one ever answering! I would never recommend this store to anyone! When you enter this store you are in "Lowestan" and you are under their rule. Stopped in yesterday to pick up a few electrical items for a small job I needed to do. A portable staircase (same type as where I work) was being use by the employees who were working in the isle. Two female employees were sitting on the floor counting inventory or some task. I did not move the stairs, as they were already positioned in the exact position to be useful. I only stepped onto the bottom step in order to retrieve the wire nuts that I was in need of. The two women on the floor, seeing a man on a "ladder" said nothing at all to me, but as I stepped down with my wire nuts, this older (guy) employee came over to me, and instead of asking me if he could help me find anything, he began to scold me for being on the portable stairs. Mind you, there was no signage of any kind on the piece of equipment AT ALL. He told me this was "THE RULE" I reminded him that the customer is always right, and that should be rule number one. He acted like he had never heard of such a crazy rule before. I'm a home owner, I owned this home years before this Lowe's even existed. I could walk to this Lowe's. I know this may seem minor, but when I'm made to feel uncomfortable in a store, I never go back, and there is no redemption. Even when presented with discounts (ex.Chi-Chi's) and other incentives, I never return. Perhaps this is just me getting older and becoming less far less tolerant of ignorance and stupidity in my world. Not ever returning for more abuse is simply how I make adjustments to my world. Even if if means driving over to Home Depot just as I had done in the recent past. I will literally be driving past this Lowe's on my way to Home Depot. Way to go Lowe's. read more

I had the worst experience.. I actually think they are trying to avoid me. I paid to get a quote to do my floors and I had to call them after 3 weeks because no one came out to measure my floors then someone came out and measured and said they would call me in a couple days. No one called. I called them and they said they would call me back and let me know the next day. No one called .. .they lost my business. I should have known because I really had no faith in the person I originally dealt with ..go somewhere else if you are looking for anything to do with flooring. I have never had this experience where a company could care less about selling their customers ..pay them better or something. read more

A townhouse was rented. The landlord purchased a fridge from this Lowes. It arrived damaged with cracked shelves and a dented and scratched door. The landlord got another fridge. They came and got the damaged fridge and brought the new one at the same time. The new one had a damaged door. A new door was brought a few weeks later and at that time, the manager of the delivery department hooked up the ice maker after installing the new door. He was pretty flustered because he was late in getting here. He had gotten stuck in the mud in the delivery truck at the place he was before he got to my place. Seems he pulled into the grass at a place to get kitchen cabinets from somebody after a 2 day rain! I wonder if this guy has a brain. Anyway, he was told he didn't have to hook up the ice maker if he didn't want to or if he didn't know how because there was a plumber that was living in the townhouse that could hook it up himself. He proceeded to say "I do know how to do somethings" and he hooked up the ice maker. He then left. Three hours later, when the tenant came down from the upstairs from unpacking, the place was FLOODED! A restoration team needed to be called. The carpet needed all the water sucked out of it, the kitchen floor was ripped up, all the insulation and duct work in the basement ceilng needed to be ripped out from going through the floor, not too mention 4 days of turbo fans running at 100 degrees, upstairs and downstairs, and them being so loud you couldn't talk to one another or watch t.v. or use the kitchen and I could go on and on. The tenants belongings in the basement were ruined and Lowes insurance company had to send an adjuster for them and the landlord. The insurance company gives nothing for emotional distress or anything else because of the whole fiasco, just damages to your belongings. It took over a month to get all the repairs done. The tenants just moved in the place one week before this happened. They could not unpack anything till it was dry and after it was all gone through for damages to give to the insurance company and it was a total mess. The tenants got NOTHING for their time to do all of this. The insurance company woman that handled all the claims was a total BITCH! She did everything she could so you would get the shitty end of the stick. They cared about nothing as far as the victim was concerned. And to top it off, they gave the landlord a hard time in giving her money to pay for all the damages to the townhouse itself. Don't get appliances from Lowes. They will be damaged. Don't let their guys hook up your stuff. You will be sorry. read more

First and last Appliance purchase from Lowe's. Bought new refrigerator and dishwasher. Guy was nice enough at the store and scheduled time for them to deliver and install. Well... I couldn't get off work so my wife went home for the delivery. Right off the bat the delivery guy was grumpy and complaining that he would have to remove the screen door because we bought such a large refrigerator. She felt very uncomfortable from the start. He the complained he still would have to remove the doors on the new one to get it inside. I'm pretty certain this has to be very common theses days. He is definitely in the wrong business!!! And way he got it in. At the store it was agreed upon and said to be no big deal to take the old one down and put it in our garage. Well they tried and said it was to dam big to fit. Wife was told they can't remove the doors and they sat it back into the kitchen. Found out when I got home they scratched both doors trying to move it! It's black so you can't miss them! Thanks alot!! As they were removing all the protective coverings from the refrigerator the one guy pulls our upholstered chair from our table and stands on it to reach up top. Really? Now we have foot prints on our chair! Onto the dishwasher. Oh we don't install we just deliver. You have to schedule that at the store... um thought that's what we did. So then of course they can't remove it either. Grumpy guy tells wife sign here and here. Whole thing was rushed. I get home to a mess off a kitchen. Two refrigerators and a dishwasher still in the box in my kitchen. Refrigerator water line never turned on or checked. The paper he rushed her to sign states that she was shown how to use and was able to inspect the product. Neither happened. The dishwasher was still boxed up!!! And then I find a deep scratch in the Door! AVOID Lowe's and stick with the local places. You may pay more but customer service is worth something to most people!! read more

Ordered a snow blower from this store and requested to have it delivered. Intelligent delivery driver delivered it to the wrong home and left. I had to call the store numerous times over the course of the entire week in order to finally get it delivered to me. I was told many times that the driver swore he dropped it off at my house but could not describe the area he dropped it off to the manager. The neighbor that had the snow blower called the store to share he had it and it was not his, he was told they had no record of the snow blower and it must be his lucky day because he now has one. He took his own effort to search for me to let me know he had the unit. Avoid deliveries from this store and the store all together...will be doing business else where from now on which is a shame because of the location and products. read more

Their customer service in the store and delivery personnel are terrible. I needed a new washer and dryer so I stopped by the store. Several employees asked if I found everything but when I said I had questions about the appliances they couldn't answer and said they would get someone else. After 30 minutes I finally left when no one was available to talk to. I was able to find more information on line and ordered the w/d I wanted. Notification when I ordered stated I would receive a call within 24 hours to schedule delivery. No problem! The following morning at 8 I received a voice mail telling me the w/d would be delivered that day between 12 and 3. They did not ask if that fit my schedule or give me a call back number. I was able to quickly rearrange my schedule and leave work to be home in time for delivery. Of course, I waited through the whole 3 hour window and no delivery. I called Lowe's to find out the status. After being transferred around for 10 minutes they hung up on me. Finally I received a call 45 minutes after the delivery window to tell me they were on their way. read more

I would not recommend this company to anyone. I hired Lowe's instead of hiring a contractor directly to avoid any issues. It has been 6 months since my project was worked on with numerous imperfections I have been contacting Lowes project managers weekly for the last 6 months and have yet to have any work done on my house I have a 4 x 6 bathroom and the work that was done was horrible I now have a leak in my bathroom wall and still waiting for someone to come out to finish the horrible job that was done at my house. It was very expensive. When I was starting the project I was getting prompt response and now that my project is not complete I have yet to hear back from anyone I am constantly calling and complaining about the work that has yet to be done in my house. I am about to call corporate because no one else is listening all I keep getting is that someone will be at my house they are waiting for the contractor to schedule. 6 months and still nothing. Lowes has been the absoulte worst place to deal with regarding my new Bosch dishwasher. I did not purchase the "extended store warranty" on top of the 30 day store warranty because I did not know it existed since it wasnt brought to my attention at the time of sale. On day 36 and the 4th time I went to use the dishwasher. It failed and would do nothing. I call Lowes on Rhorerstown road in Lancaster and talked with Jess in the appliance section. She proceeded to tell me she couldnt do anything since it was day 36 and not 30. I asked if there was anything lowes could do and she said " No thats why its explained to you at the time of sale" which it wasnt for me. When I told her that I thought it was poor on Lowes part after I spent 500 dollars there they couldnt do anything to help me out. She proceeded to tell me she understood my frustration. When I said no Im sorry you dont she exclaims " Thanks for telling me what I do and dont understand" which is quite rude and unprofessional, not to mention she was telling me what I understand. Jess must not be the mind reader she thinks she is. She failed to realize I just had to put 7000.00 dollars into a vehicle and really need the dishwasher since Thanksgiving dinner this year has been moved to my house since my wifes grandparents normally have it but he was just diagnosed with cancer so they cant host like usual. I guess she didnt know the whole story like she thought she did. The store manager Dennis also was of no help whatsoever. So now I am working with the warranty company which is a disaster in itself and they expect you to stay home from work so they can drop in whenever they want in the 3 hour time window they give. I had to have my mom who is off work with a knee injury sit at my house so this guy could show up randomly, only for him to say " well the computer in the dishwasher is broken. A new computer will be fed ex'd to your house, then you need to call us back to setup another appointment so we can install it". This has been one of the worst cases of customer service I have ever seen. Looking back, I would have gladly paid a real appliance store or Costco more money to not have to deal with the endless headaches Lowes, Jess, and Dennis have provided me with. I strongly advise you not to deal with this store and if you do, dont spend more than your willing to throw out your car window without too much regret. Numerous times when I spoke with them the person that I spoke with did not know the history of my order, so I had to tell them the whole story from the beginning. Still they were of no assistance.
