But turmoil has come over the past year and it's not good. Corporate Franchise Ace called Abbott's bought the shop and made it part of a east coast chain, and it's affected the experience negatively. Staff turnover has been very high, customer service is lackluster. One guy today couldn't bother to say "excuse me" while I was looking over some items and he just had to get to one of the items in front of me. Manners is seriously lacking with some of their staff. There's no clear leadership in the store - other than corporate from New York state dictating sales. Whomever is running the place needs to hire better people - more training so their more knowledgable about their products, and maybe people that are a bit more people oriented. One cashier lady is so morose I've come to hate going to her. A couple of the old crew is still around but with the turnover rate, and the lack of corporate care for service, I don't think they'll be around much longer. I've always placed Suburban Ace (now Costello Ace) as my First Choice for hardware needs, but with lackluster staff, poor product knowledge and a lack of customer service, that preference is fading fast. Home Depot is a little bit further from my workshop but the people there are, overall, better now than those at Costello Ace. Damn shame and I hope they get their act together.

Now when I think King's I know think unbelievable quality at prices that actually make you buy more. Not want to. Buy more. Happily. The value is stunning. My fiancee and my oldest son are working with me to redo two rooms. A den/bedroom up here at our place in Exton and our Kitchen at our townhouse in Raleigh. We'll share pictures once the rooms are done. We cannot share pictures of the artwork that is the furniture before the rooms are done because everything needs to balance around the furniture. It's that good. Lucille, Lamar, and Sam (I hope I spelled everyone's names correctly including Miracle Sam) ‍. Their service goes way beyond customer service. They helped us the whole time and we want the pictures of the finished rooms to honor them. Thanks for reaching out for my review Caleb. Yelp kicks Googles ass everyday. You connect Yelp to X and I can market for you. You could do it easy yourself. ‍ I can't wait to checkout all the other Kings stores sprinkled through the area. Cool business y'all. 5

My wife and I drove out from Pittsburgh to visit a number of vendor's showrooms. We'd already…read morespent time in Amish areas of Ohio. While various vendors (including online order sites ) do sell items made by the same shops, we value and want to reward (so to speak) the showrooms that educate, help customize, and allow one to see/feel/touch items of interest or similar-enough, in any case. Caleb was our primary point of contact to order two highly customized chairs, a custom keystone table to go between them, and one ottoman. One of the customizations was one I could find on no website anywhere for the manufacturer we had chosen. Caleb contacted them and navigated all our demanding requests with patience and cheer and, generally, in a reasonable time frame (we were erratic on our end a bit, too -- give and take). Our estimate was 2-4 months and we were called exactly at 3months. They held the items for several days until I could drive out, helped load things up, and just happened to have some fresh sweet rolls to share! (I loved that the kids were selling some 3D printed parts they designed in a CAD package just inside the store.) I trusted they had checked everything over and belive they had -- We got home and found everything to be absolutely perfect. Beautiful select+ grade QSWO, well-selected, constructed, and finished. $5200 for two chairs, the table, and an ottoman actually seems fair given the quality. These are our first non-IKEA or hand-me-down furniture items and we are proud to own them. We will be buying a new dining table and chairs from them in the future, no doubt. One note: My wife and I had forgotten her reclining chair had an internal lever that is sorta' hidden by the cushion AND also needed to figure out how the backs slid and clicked into place. While I'm a handy engineer and this was easy enough, I could imagine some folks might have benefitted from a little instruction. Perhaps that was not given as Caleb personalizes service, I dunno. As per another's recent trouble here on yelp, there is only so much any vendor can do with long lead times from Amish workshop partners. Given my initial experiences and interactions, I can can't imagine they would do anything but follow the Golden Rule in helping reasonable customers.
