    We received an appliance delivery from Home Depot today (1/16/2025) and it was an absolute…read moredisaster. When ordering the appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave) we indicated in the online delivery special instructions for the new hardwood floors we recently had installed. The installer came out and there were issues with the installation. The install of the dishwasher and the water line was not properly hooked up... during that installation the installer had water all over my entire kitchen damaging the newly installed hardwood floors and the water leaked into my basement level damaging the drywall on the ceiling and coming down the sides of the walls, the newly installed carpets in the basement as well as part of the basement sofa was damaged due to water damage. The cabinet below the sink was also severely damaged. The refrigerator was not properly hooked up... the hardwood looks like the fridge was slid across the floor. They left divits, cracks and deep wood scars across the floor and the water damaged many of the hardwood planks. The refrigerator was not properly installed. Keep in mind, we paid Home Depot for the installation of the new equipment and the hauling off of the old appliances. When we called Home Depot, we had to submit a claim. We were told we should hear within 72 hours. The installer knew exactly what he had done and the issues he had caused as he directly called his manager during the delivery explaining the damages that were caused. I never thought this purchase of three appliances would turn into a total renovation project. Extremely disappointed right now ...for those of you reading this, I hope you never purchase appliances for delivery from Home Depot. After calling a 2nd time today... thinking talking with another person would put me at ease, it made things worse!!!! We are waiting for the company that Home Depot goes through to address our claim. At this point, I feel like I need to get an attorney...never ever will I return to Home Depot not even for a screw... because they definitely screwed us!!!!!!!!!

I finally received an email back from a representative in the Corporate Escalation Team. I didn't receive a callback when scheduled, however, I received a call from the Store Manager a day later. We discussed cross-training, employee/customer interactions, and management. The current Store Manager was deployed to the store two-and-a-half months ago. I suspect for some of the reasons described in my prior post. He was professional, courteous, and attentive. Not only did he address my concerns, but he also shared operational strategies to resolve problems the store and, most importantly, the corporation's issues. Of course I didn't want anything except to exhibit how business should operate. I wish the best of luck to the Store Manager in the current environment of non-engaged employees and the corporate climate of The Home Depot.
