I'm sorry, but I can't agree with the previous positive comment. It may have been, at one time, the cool, old-time hardware store I'd hoped it would be, but that was many, many years ago. In fact, it was quite dark inside and very dirty. The shelves and racks were almost all bare. The sole employee had no people skills, usually giving one-word responses. He obviously did not care about me (his only customer) as he was not wearing a mask, saying that he didn't believe in them. I won't be back. To me, it is worth it to travel 20-25 minutes up the road to Ace, Lowe's or Home Depot.

Website says they have 2 in stock. I can pickup right now or have it delivered tomorrow, the website says. But because I ordered online for in store pickup, I have to wait until Nov 2nd for them to put it in the pickup room? That's insane! This is a publicly traded company! Online customer service is non existent. You can order an item listed as In Stock, and they can send you an email telling you its magically Out of Stock, with a button labeled "Explore Options". Of course this button just sends you to an infinite login loop. Your order will never actually be recognized on the site. So you can't just reroute the order to a different store. Oh yeah, also the "Chat with us online 24/7" option on the website is broken. Does nothing. Also, they have no customer service email. Also, they wont call you about your order that they screwed up. Apparently you have to call and wait, and then explain everything to some rude employee who will screw things up even more. Or let the pending deduction on your bank account expire after 3 days. So dumb.

We received an appliance delivery from Home Depot today (1/16/2025) and it was an absolute…read moredisaster. When ordering the appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave) we indicated in the online delivery special instructions for the new hardwood floors we recently had installed. The installer came out and there were issues with the installation. The install of the dishwasher and the water line was not properly hooked up... during that installation the installer had water all over my entire kitchen damaging the newly installed hardwood floors and the water leaked into my basement level damaging the drywall on the ceiling and coming down the sides of the walls, the newly installed carpets in the basement as well as part of the basement sofa was damaged due to water damage. The cabinet below the sink was also severely damaged. The refrigerator was not properly hooked up... the hardwood looks like the fridge was slid across the floor. They left divits, cracks and deep wood scars across the floor and the water damaged many of the hardwood planks. The refrigerator was not properly installed. Keep in mind, we paid Home Depot for the installation of the new equipment and the hauling off of the old appliances. When we called Home Depot, we had to submit a claim. We were told we should hear within 72 hours. The installer knew exactly what he had done and the issues he had caused as he directly called his manager during the delivery explaining the damages that were caused. I never thought this purchase of three appliances would turn into a total renovation project. Extremely disappointed right now ...for those of you reading this, I hope you never purchase appliances for delivery from Home Depot. After calling a 2nd time today... thinking talking with another person would put me at ease, it made things worse!!!! We are waiting for the company that Home Depot goes through to address our claim. At this point, I feel like I need to get an attorney...never ever will I return to Home Depot not even for a screw... because they definitely screwed us!!!!!!!!!

I wrote a letter to the Chairman & CEO of The Home Depot about my unacceptable experience. I mailed…read moreit Certified/Return Receipt on 01/02/20. The letter was received three days later. I finally received an email back from a representative in the Corporate Escalation Team. I didn't receive a callback when scheduled, however, I received a call from the Store Manager a day later. We discussed cross-training, employee/customer interactions, and management. The current Store Manager was deployed to the store two-and-a-half months ago. I suspect for some of the reasons described in my prior post. He was professional, courteous, and attentive. Not only did he address my concerns, but he also shared operational strategies to resolve problems the store and, most importantly, the corporation's issues. Of course I didn't want anything except to exhibit how business should operate. I wish the best of luck to the Store Manager in the current environment of non-engaged employees and the corporate climate of The Home Depot.

My mom lives in Shrewsbury and had been speaking to a local real estate agent about finding some…read morefurniture. The real estate agent recommended this place and when we stopped by, it was not what I had expected. It is a little bit organized in terms of dining room tables might be here, and bedroom furniture might be there, but you are definitely searching around in a barn for things, and it's packed tight. My mom actually did find a Christmas caroling doll that she purchased, but then we went outside and purchased some vegetable plants, herbs, and flowers. Fast-forward about a month and the flowers are exploding. They are healthy and colorful... Way better than anything I've ever purchased at, big box stores or national chains. I'm not sure how the prices of the plants compared, they were probably equivalent to the same prices that we would've spent, but they are remarkably healthy and beautiful. And I wasn't so sure about them when we purchased them and when I was planting them. So my mind is changed, we will definitely continue going there for flowers. and, I will probably poke around in the barn to see if there's anything interesting.
