We were in need of a washer and dryer. Of course they both go out at the same time. Ugh!!! Large purchase so we want to make sure we get the best bang for our buck!!! So we thought we would first start at our favorite home improvement store and hope that it would be the first and last spot...and it was yay!!! We met with Kevin the supervisor in the appliance section. He has been there for fifteen years and is very knowledgeable. We were very grateful he was working today because he was very helpful. We were very happy with our purchase of a LG washer and dryer set. It will be here Wednesday and for the first time ever I will say I can't wait to wash my clothes. Haha!! I will NEVER buy carpet from Lowe's again. The service I received from Ultimate Home Services was atrocious. The installers burned my office carpet, didn't put the carpet on my basement steps and insisted I canceled the order. I ordered carpet for my entire upstairs and basement but did not want it installed on the basement steps..SERIOUSLY??? It has almost been a year since I've had to deal with this disaster. No one wanted to take responsibility for what the others were doing...typical pass the buck. The carpet was reinstalled in my office and had spots on it...the manufacturer insisted there were no stains even though Lowe's sent an installer out to inspect. I had to move all of my equipment 3 times in and out of the office because of their incompetence. They wanted me to pay to have it cleaned because they didn't see anything wrong with it. UNBELIEVABLE!! Ultimate Home Service customer support was horrible to deal with. They did not return calls or texts even though I was always assured that someone would. I spoke with the manager Chris several times and was also reassured by him that he would call back but he never did. I will never shop at Lowe's again for large purchases. My husband and I went to the Kent/Brimfield Lowes to purchase a new refrigerator an dishwasher. Picked out two very nice appliances- made arrangements for delivery. The day of delivery (my husband took off work) we unloaded the refrigerator, and unhooked the dishwasher . Had the cabinet man scheduled to come out that afternoon to install the new cabinet next to the refrigerator. The Lowes delivery man showed up in a big box truck and handed us a hose for the dishwasher! They didn't have the two appliances the driver said " sorry that's all I have you will have to call the warehouse ". Called the store and the manager on duty basically said they can't do anything about it- it's a third party delivery service‍. So today was the day we rescheduled - did the same thing unhooked everything and unloaded everything. The box truck pulled in my driveway and it started to rain- the driver came to the door and said they can't deliver in the rain due to safety reasons. Called Lowes and again nothing. Sorry not our problem it's a third party delivery service! I just think if a person spends a good chunk of money at your store , that store should make sure and stay involved until the transaction is completed. They just say " I know this is frustrating ". So now reconnect everything again put everything back in the refrigerator and freezer- reschedule the cabinet man and wait to reschedule again!! So I guess the days of customer service are gone. Lowes will sell you the appliances take your money and then wash their hands of you. So yes Lowes, this is frustrating! And thanks for the phone number to the warehouse so I can call. read more

I pre ordered some rocks for my fish tank and called to make sure they could have it ready that day, because I live so far away. The kid said they might have them and he will do that order today. When I went to pickup they were bigger than I thought and I pointed it out but he ensured me these were the right ones. Now that I'm home I have realized he didn't even give me the correct kind of rock, I needed flagstone for an aquarium and he gave me cement. The kid just should not of lied because i wouldn't of drove out for the wrong stones, and he clearly has to much power in that department. read more

I prefer Lowes over Home Depot so I am a bit biased. But the staff is always pleasant helpful and typically they are always easy to find. I love the styles they carry...from outdoor decor to housewares. I usually buy my cleaning supplies here as I like to use commercial grade and this is the only place I have found my favorite sink cleaner. Experience with Kitchen Countertop Installation: Store associates are pretty good. The problem comes in after the order is placed and one has to deal only with out-of-state Project Coordinators who are utterly disconnected. It became extremely difficult to communicate with them. They don't call, they don't return calls or voice messages, and emails sent to them almost always get an autoreply stating that they are out-of-office. Worst yet, when you complain about their subcontractor (who will actually install the countertop) being late, their reply that it is not their responsibility and they don't have control. For my future home improvement project, I will definitely be considering a local contractor that I can deal with face-to-face rather than virtually dealing with unresponsive and indifferent coordinators in another state. Finally, I would mention that the project was about a couple of months late in completion. In the meantime, we have to live without a kitchen for few weeks and get meals outside during a pandemic time. read more

This specific location simply broke my heart. In the world of a run down Veterinary assistant , I'm well aware that not every single animal can be saved from harm or even an unexpected death. As someone who has also worked int the retail industry for over 12 yrs. , I also understand that you can't be everywhere at once- there's only one you. But what I found so disturbing about my visit (06/16/14) was that the sounds of multiple screeching birds is routinely ignored. As I was wandering around the garden center in search of screening, I passed by the unmistakable chain link fence we all know so well. Large rolls of it were stacked against a shelving unit & it just so happens that bird carcasses adored almost all of the rolls. :(.... I thought at first " Okay, I just got off of a long shift at work...even with my glasses on I still don't see clearly...Wow, am I really seeing this"? Upon closer inspection, it appears that somehow tiny little sparrows have entwined their frail bodies into the fencing with no escape. And there before my eyes, were birds that had clearly passed away from starvation, heat stroke, and neglect. I fail to understand how associates could not hear birds calling out at the top of their lungs. It's not like they play music in the garden section or that anyone was really there at all. The worst part about this was when I went to pay, I didn't know how to tell the cashier ( not only was I sad but imagine a small child seeing a bunch of dead birds...) so I tried in the most polite way possible. She was nice but she informed me that she already knew & there was nothing she felt could be done. That there was no way to get them out- you have a world of tools at your feet & you can't figure it out?!?! You've got to be kidding me! Not only is it cruel but also, a lot of birds carry diseases so for sanitation purposed alone they should be removed. She then said something to another coworker named Matt who also said he was aware but gave me the "What could be done" pitch. For starters, if this is a continuous problem each year- why wouldn't you ask management if you could encase the rolls of fencing in plastic. This way the birds couldn't wedge their bodies inside because the way in would be blocked. Its a simple & easy solution- just say'in. I would hate to have to explain this to a child or get sick because I contacted a zoonotic disease or se one struggling (because I would totally get kicked out of the store for cutting the fence with wire cutters & saving it). Can't say I wont return but I definitely will avoid Lowe's in general at all cost. read more

This store is a wreck. I decided to use Lowes for my entire first floor flooring (carpet & wood). They did not order the correct quarter round and upon delivery I called the store and spoke with the flooring manager. He said, "No problem, we will order the correct quarter round and it will be delivered by install." The night before install I called to let them know I had not received the correct material yet. Bottom line after a bunch of talking, they did not order it. My hard floor was almost completely installed and the order was short a couple boxes. Lowes told the installer it would be 2 weeks before it would be available. Lowes did not tell me but the installer did. Nice communication! I called and told the main store manager the dilemma and told him was unacceptable and through my own research found another local store that had enough boxes. The store manager promised to call me back after contacting the other store. I called him out and said "I have run into this problem with your store already, someone saying they will call me back and not follow through. I want you personally to call me back with the solution." Sure enough my phone rings and the store manager had the front customer service employee call me. Way to follow through; Mr. Store Manager. Finally, my hardwood floor is installed. Next - Carpet Installers do not show up on Saturday as planned. Lowes dropped the ball and did not confirm the install. I wasted an entire Saturday because they did not show up and I already ripped out our existing carpet. Finally, they are scheduled 3 days later. Upon arrival, I confirm the carpet it the right color and mine. The installer lays down our padding. He brings in the carpet and tells me the carpet was not correctly measured and cut. For them to install the carpet it would require 3 seems. It was to require zero seems. Please do not use this store. The manager deserves a visit from corporate. I would be more than willing to share my story. Did Lowes do anything for me for all my troubles? NO - just over charged me and messed up my original quote. read more
