Total fan of this Ace Hardware because of their expert staff and excellent customer service…read more I've been to this location just a few times and other than today I knew I what I needed and finding it wasn't complicated. But today I had to fix a plumbing issue and needed expert help. I took pictures of my plumbing issue on my phone and went to Ace with the hope that I could show the pictures to someone and they could help, not expecting much though. I found the first employee and shared my pictures and issue to her and she sent me to their "resident plumber." Wow! This guy knew exactly what I needed to fix my problem. From the pictures I showed him he diagnosed my problem and showed me the parts I needed to fix it until I can get a plumber to ultimately fix the issue. This guy was an expert. And Ace had what I needed. Then I went over to look at the yard items and found a small bird feeder. A staff member saw me looking at the feeder and voluntarily told me that most of the feeders and related items were located at another location in the store and pointed me in the direction. She didn't have to do that but I'm glad she did because I would have not known about the location.

The cashier was not well-trained and stumbled on ringing up the people in front of me, then had to call back-up to help her with my purchases. She left in the middle of my sale and had the other employee finish. There was a line of about six people by then. Other than that, the staff is always very knowledgeable and courteous.

My wife and I have had an overall positive experience at this Menards, and now that we've been…read morecoming here for a while, we know when to come here and when to go to their competitors. We have found that the pros mostly outweigh the cons. We've saved some money coming here through the years and have almost always found what we've needed for own home repairs and yard maintenance. The store is clean, well organized, and store employees have always been helpful and friendly. I've used the Menards app to see if the store has what I'm looking for and to help me locate items once I've found them. That's very useful. We get a kick out of finding food and drinks there. Couldn't believe we found giardiniera (spicy relish often used on Chicago-style hot dogs) and other items there in a pinch. It's saved us from going to a much busier grocery store. We've rented their pickup truck to bring furniture to our daughter''s new place. That was a good value and rental was a snap. But there are three things that we have found not so great: 1.) Their garden section is hit-or-miss with plants, and sometimes the plants look a bit unhealthy. 2.) I wish product reviews were available on their website and app to help me decide if products I'm considering are good or not. 3.) I think the rebate system is terrible; unless you are spending a lot, sending in a rebate slip to get back 11% on a five dollar item isn't worth the postage stamp, and you aren't always guaranteed that an item has a rebate attached to it-we recently discovered that. Also the 'rebate' is store credit, so not really cash back in your pocket.

I had two gentlemen helping me find all the pieces and parts that I needed in a hurry. I didn't think it was going to be possible to find what I needed to fix the walker at any hardware store. I was pleasantly surprised with all the assistance and help that I got from these two gentlemen putting things together and figuring it out. I was able to fix the walker on the spot, Ace Hardware might be the cheapest place to buy things, but they definitely are more than willing to help and also carry special items that you can't find elsewhere.
