Had purchased a refrigerator last week, the delivery team was very rude and disrespectful. They didn't call ahead as instructed, did not call the number we gave them, and left the fridge in the middle of my hallway that I had to hire someone to move it. They didn't even attempt to take my old fridge out, which I paid them to do, and called me to let me know it's delivered AFTER they left the house! They guy told me to learn to measure before I buy. Mind you, I don't need to learn. I'm an Ivy League educated who do in fact know how to measure. The refrigerator was 28 inches wide and 31 inches deep. My door is 30 inches wide. So, simple math, you can fit the damn fridge in there. You know how I know? Because my old fridge was the exact measurement you retard! I'm so disappointed how the delivery team treated me as a loyal customer for years! I've spent at least 50k on items I bought from Lowe's over the year for businesses and personal needs. Terrible hardware store because of abysmal customer service. We asked an employee if he could help us get some mulch but he refused, stating that we should ask someone else. We later learned that we could pay for it and get it outside. The employee outside was rude and refused to help us even though he helped everyone else. He stated that we entered the wrong way and had to leave. I ended up loading about half a ton myself despite being nearly 70 years old. We had other problems with Lowe's associates. We rarely need to make returns, but we just had a recent instance of having to return 5 bags of polymeric sand because we decided to have the job done by a contractor. I ordered from Havertown Lowe's a Behren 10 gal metal trash can and paid for this to be delivered to my house. The can arrived on my porch within the promised delivery time - but without a lid. Here are all the ways that Lowe's wasted my time: - The confirmation of order/delivery emails offer no way to contact customer service about the success of your delivery. - The "24/7 Live Chat" on the website does NOTHING when you click on it, just shifts the page upwards. - Tried calling customer service. It rang at least 25 times before I gave up. - Found a second customer service number. This time someone picked up. I was told that, even though I paid for the delivery, and it is their mistake that the lid is missing, I will have to go over there and pick it up myself. I told the "Customer Care" person I don't have a car, that's why I paid for delivery. Zero interest - or capability (clearly the problem is larger than just one unhelpful employee). - I tried calling again the next day, hoping maybe I just had a lazy representative the day before. Nope - same result. Getting the rest of my order is on me. - When I told the 2nd representative that I have no car, I was told her manager would call me to offer "other options" - "he's busy with a customer right now". I came to Lowes to check out their selection and I really saw some great plants for affordable prices. I was looking for another snake plant and I was able to snatch a healthy one for about 23.00. I also saw some beeyutiful birds of paradise, monsteria- philadendron, ponthos along with some beautiful pots. I purchased a dishwasher from this location and needed it asap and they could not install until 10 days later. The day comes for install and the installer calls me and tells me they aren't coming because the dishwasher wasn't at the store for pick up. I called the store multiple times to see if it was in the store. People put me on hold. Some people hung up on me. I was on hold forever. No one came back to the phone.. It was nearly impossible to get a manager on the phone. So I called corporate Lowe's and just canceled the order entirely and right after that a store manager calls me right away. Didn't offer anything to remedy the situation just over explained why the dishwasher wasn't installed. This location has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. read more

I purchased a snow blower and a extended warranty at the Lowes in Havertown PA on 2/7/2025. I am a big do it yourself kind of a person. I received a defective product. The electric starter does not work. it was defective from day 1 I had it delivered to my home because I did not have a car big enough to carry it . I went back to the store. I spoke to the manager who got a pickup order for the return of the snow blower. No one came to pick it up I went to lows again to complain. A second date was set up for Monday 3/3/2025. no one came to pick it up. A new date was set up for Tomorow I believe in my heart no one is coming to pick this up. I believe they are running out the return policy time as to not give me a refund or fix the snowblower. There is absolutely no reason why 3 managers can't set up a proper pick-up date and time. I am very frustrated with this Lowes. I have been a loyal customer of Lowes for years. I never seen such poor attitude this particular store the management has toward it customers. I spent over 1000 dollars on this item and i am getting shafted by the management of this store. I am originally from south Jersey and just moved into this area. I like this newly erected Lowes (well a few years ago). The store is huge with plenty of parking off this busy road. My loves attending the build and grow program they have at this store. It is great to help him with hand/eye coordination and feeling of accomplishment. We are able to find pretty much anything we need here at a reasonable price. The garden section is huge so you will find any type of plant or pot here. Online ordering (and pick up in store) is great and convenient. Will definitely be back. read more

I am a Havertown resident, and have been to Lowes many times and have purchased items for my home including a Whirlpool refrigerator. I was there today to get some paint and rollers. The gentleman at the paint place was very courteous and helpful. I came to the checkout. I noted there was no one to check you out but a self check. I have attempted this with some success. Today I attempted and after scanning my items it asked for my phone number, I gave my home number and it promptly declined. I wanted to just pay and get out, but it would not let me. There was a gentle man manning the area and explained my problem and asked for his help. He said I don't know why it is doing it. I am not from this department. But immediately another gentleman with a big cart full of lumber and hardware came , he immediately started to scan his items. When I questioned him about the check out person not being there when customers are paying and buying products. He yelled and said you can go to the customer service or the Manager. I was wondering about what is happening in the federal government that people who are passionate about their jobs are losing it due to some idiot running the government. Once upon a time, if Havertownians needed a home improvement store, they visited the Home Depot in Clifton Heights. As the years went by, and with much fanfare, Home Depot opened a much closer store in Broomall. There was much initial excitement but then reality set in. It turned out that this was a "baby" HD. It seemed like over half the times I visited, they didn't have what I needed. However, the HD staff was quick to say- "We have it at Clifton Heights." What a pain! Happy days are here as we now have a Lowe's of our very own in town. It's big and beautiful and well stocked. Parking is easy. For those not familiar with the area, there is a very convenient back entrance next to Kohl's on West Chester Pike. For many, it's easier than the main entrance on Township Line Road. As with other Lowe's, I find the merchandise to be a step up from HDs. I feel that for many types of products, they carry a higher quality line. I like that. Of course in other cases they have the exact same stuff as HD. The "new store" issues are mostly gone now and things appear to be running nice and smooth. I've visited several times and had no problems with customer service. I also like the atmosphere. I find the overall shopping experience to be nicer than at HD. If you need a quick bite before or after your visit, there is a Panera and Chipotle next door. Also, if you need your caffeine fix, there is a Starbucks inside the Giant. These folks earn four stars from me! read more

This place has gone DRASTICALLY downhill. Like off a cliff, a very high cliff, with jagged rocks and hungry sharks waiting below. Consistently, their website will tell me that there's items in stock, but THEY AREN'T THERE! Do you know how annoying and frustrating that is?!?! I went for an item the other day, after being told it's in stock, and just about had to TACKLE people to the ground to help me! Spending 30+ minutes for someone to come help me, only to tell me that they are OUT of an item is NOT how I want to spend my life! I have visited this Lowe's location on November 27 Black Friday weekend specifically paint department they have 30% off signs I didn't read the fine print so I asked the sales rep the - the lady with long hair that was mixing the paint if the paint that I'm interested in is included in the 30% sale. She said yes I picked up paint. I asked her a few more questions which she answered and we proceeded to the counter at the counter where she asked me to decide to pick the type of paint for the walls... different brand different finish also asked her whether this one in particular is on 30% sale because it was rather the high and high priced paint and she Said yes it is. I proceeded to the register to pay for the paints and the 30% discount code was not coming up. I asked the person at the self check out if she could do something about it she referred me to another person. Another person came in. I explained the situation, now he brought third person. The third guy came in when I started explaining what happened he immediately told me to stop yelling at him which I was not. I was explaining the situation and what happened... that alone gives you sort of indication of how customers are treated right from the get-go. He was trying to get in a defensive position when I explain what happened and I said I asked the woman at the paint counter not once but twice he, than, I assume went back to talk to her when he came back he said that's not what she said so not only I've been not able to purchase the paint at the 30% discount I was also lied to and I was mistreated the person that I've been specifically talking to twice lied lying about what I said, and what she said, this is like ultimate letdown unacceptable behavior. I don't know who is managing the store but that person and the person at the paint counter and the people that talk to me everything should be really trained again or fired. Ordered a battery operated Snow Blower and arranged to pick up with curbside delivery. The Lowes app was not functioning so I was unable to tell them I was outside waiting for a delivery so I went in to see what was going on. I went to pick up and they told me it was in the back and would be brought out shortly. 20 minutes later they brought out a box that looked like it had fallen down two flights of stairs. The box was opened and had significant damage so I refused to take delivery. When I asked for a receipt they curtly said you'll get one via email. Sadly I won't be back! If you see me in a hardware store that means whatever I glued together has come undone. Soo I'm in Lowes picking up some "plumber's glue" to fix my sink. My mother advised me to ask the employee who was working there for help instead of always gluing and taping. Charles was very helpful and advised (told) me to put the glue back; he showed me to the extenders and how to install. Came home installed extender under sink and all is new. I really wanted to add glue but I will adhere to his advice although I'm tempted. Thank you Charles for your help and patience. I am generally impressed with Lowes. They far exceed my expectations, but then again I base that expectation on the Home Depot in Havertown, which I try to avoid unless I need something stupid, like a flower pot or a box of screws. Otherwise I normally trudge over to Clifton Heights and deal with a whole set of other problems. The Lowes in Delco has had every single thing I have ever gone in to get, and guess what? Everything I have bought from there has not been broken or missing peices, this is a bonus as that often happen to me at HD. On major projects I'd often have to go back and return things to HD, but nothing I have bought at Lowes in DELCO had I ever had to return due to customers rumaging through boxes or returning stuff broken. So this being said, this is the entire rubric on which I am basing my review. A month ago, I purchased a gallon of paint from this location. Once I arrived home I noticed that the can was not properly secured and paint was on my carpet and other materials in my car. I immediately return to the store at which time a front manger comes outside to investigate the issue. Takes photos then proceeded to inform me that I had to first get an appraisal done before they would create an incident report. Six days later I return to the store with the appraisal and and was informed that I should receive a call in the near future. A month goes by, still no response. I return to this location to discover that no one created an incident report. I ended up speaking with three store managers and received a half completed claim from. This morning I received a call from their corporate office and the first thing they asked for was an appraisal. I'm truly disappointed in the manner in which this situation has been handled. I've patronized this location every since it opened because I live very close the store but at this point I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Delivery of fridge and washer scheduled with a time frame of 10-2. Cool. Around 2:45 call the store was told they were informed they are running behind about 45 minutes. Fast forward to 4:30. Call again this time to cancel. I was then told I still had to wait for my delivery to refuse the items. Fast forward to 7:00pm called again, spoke with the manager at havertown. She called the delivery company. The delivery company called me told me the truck broke down, the truck was delivering for 2 stores and they had to get coverage and he did not make it to the first appt until 1. And that the stores were notified. However Lowes feels it is appropriate to let customers wait with drinks out of their fridge, waiting all day as if they have nothing else to do and not call them. On top of that when a customer calls and says they want to cancel a 1800.00 order you put your manager on the phone to make it right. Nothing which tells me this happens all time..I was also informed by the delivery company that he still has to pick up my items and then come to my home. I took a shower after my son got home from work so he can stand by, and drive to Lowe's the girl at the returns processed my return in 5 min. Did not even ask why, this whole time I could have went to the store and been done with this madness. I leave the store mind you a truck is pulling in. I get a call back from the delivery people asking me was I certain I didn't want the washing machine because I did tell the manager at Lowe's I wasn't taking the washer and I told the delivery lady as well. My thoughts is, why is Lowe's is I am the customer of asking the delivery person to confirm with me if I am sure I don't want the washer. I told her at this point send your driver home. I cancelled my whole order. I told her I believe you when you said Lowe's was informed. And the fact that they want to communicate with you instead of me. And not one person, or manager asked if there was anything they can do, they do not deserve my business. She was very nice very understanding, wishes there was more she could do. I told her I was also cancelling my 2/17 appt for cabinets and countertops. This is lesson. I am a property manager, customer service is my number one priority. They do not have a "large" store (feels strange to say that about such a big place) but they are actually smaller than most lowes. The only issue was the long line due to social distancing so we decided to use self check out. Just be mindful that if there's a question about pricing, it can't be handled at the self check out. I bought $310 worth of perennials at Havertown Lowes on 7/3/17. They have a "1 year tree, shrub, perennial return and replace guarantee". https://www.lowes.com/cd_Lowes+Plant+Guide_745035634_ 8/12/17, I brought in a dead Russian Sage for return and replacement, picked out my new plant and brought dead and new plant to service counter. Returns associate said I was past the 30 day returns policy. I pointed out the 1yr policy guarantee on perennials, on the Lowes website...she didn't care. A manager named Howard came over and told me that he didn't believe the website I was reading from was actually Lowes, but rather a "Google website". So rather than verify and disprove my assertion on his store computer, he walked a quarter mile to the Nursery and back to tell me that "Annuals" and not "Perennials" are returnable for upt to a year...which doesn't even make sense...because "Annuals" are supposed to die every year. Clearly manager Howard is saving Lowes millions of dollars in potentially lost revenues by blocking a legitimate $7.40 plant return. I walked outside and called a real thinking human at Lowes customer care department in NC and was thrilled that Kayla was intelligent and thoughtful and helping me to straighten out this problem in PA. So I waited on hold while Kayla called in to the Havertown store to tell the Management and Returns Department that I was correct and the Lowes website is real and not just "Google", and the Lowes policy is readable, concise and simple. If you have a receipt (I did) and have a perennial, tree or shrub that has died before turning one year old (from date of purchase), Lowes will return and replace it. Simple. But Howard couldn't have known that he should have just read the digital print and increase his knowledge about the difference between an annual and a perennial, and he should have just returned the dead plant. Because now I am on a mission and this is only the beginning of my "Lowes Management Plant Guarantee and Returns Policy" mission. Howard wasted my time, no one in the store knew the actual policy and didn't seem to care about it. (Except Erika, who is awesome and actually cares!) Store manager Chris was also lacking compassion, careless of policy and annoyed that I was annoyed for him and his employees wasting my time with such stupid and senseless inaction. Managers are supposed to lead their associates, not hide behind another incompetent manager who has terrible customer service skills and pushes out ignorant, made-up returns policy positions that directly contradict logic and Lowes Corporate policy. I hope Howard, Chris and Lowes get the message on the "Google-computer thing" that they should have looked at to begin with. Lowes customers shouldn't have to teach managers how to do their job of knowing Lowes Corporate Return Policies. But the store associates are not friendly or helpful at all. They do not greet you or ask if you need assistance. I was looking for an item and could not find it. I mistakenly asked a vendor standing at a table if she could point me in the direction of aisle 21. This woman told me that she wasn't sure and that there were plenty of Lowe's people around. Hello to my Yelp Family!!! I always like visiting this Lowe's Location on Township Line. It is near the Giant, Chipotle and Panera Bread. There is also an Infinity - Comcast, a Vitamin Store and Franklin Mint Credit Union all located in the Quarry Shopping Center. There is plenty of places to park here, with quite a few handicapped spaces available. Also the Lowe's itself is quite large inside. Regarding home improvement, you can pretty much find anything known to man here. My experience with customer service has been good here. I have never had a poor experience with an associate here. The associates always ask, "May I help you? I am sorry to hear that some customers here have had poor experiences, judging from previous reviews. Also the restrooms are usually clean and the paper towels are usually plentiful in the dispenser. When I visited this time, the family needed LED bulbs for our lighting fixture in the bathroom. I am happy to report that we took the bulb to Lowe's to make sure that we purchased the correct size and watt and when we installed it at the house, it was the correct one!!! Lowe's has a great selection of items, but it's marred by the customer service in the appliances department. While purchasing a new/washer dryer, I felt as though I was an inconvenience to the employee, who was complaining to her coworker about her inability to go on break due to customers. When my washer/dryer was delivered, Lowe's gave me an "as-is" washer with dents, despite me signing and paying for a brand-new washer. Approximately two weeks later, I am still waiting for my washer to be delivered. Last night, I called the store last night to inquire about the status of my washer and the manager with whom I spoke was extraordinarily rude. He used a phrase I didn't understand, stating that he didn't want to go too in-depth with the explanation. I asked for clarification and elaboration, and he sounded annoyed and frustrated with me for not understanding the situation. I have already paid in full for these appliances, and have the right to understand the delay in delivery. The only positive experience I have had in the appliances department has been with Jason, who is experienced and conducts himself in a professional manner. read more

I visited the Township Line store in Drexil Hill in la to purchase doors for my home , Iwas not impressed by the service I received and was disappointed in their "expert'" advice which I found to be worthless , because they suggested that I purchased a door that I found after installation to be the incorrect door. Went to the Havertown Lowe's Garden Center after a terrible experience with the Plymouth Meeting Lowe's. The Havertown location of Lowe's is great. The staff was very patient, helpful and professional. I will definitely return there for my future gardening shopping. read more
