Consider Lowes your new home base. Lowes bills themselves as Home Improvement because I've stopped going to many other stores since Lowes will have it. Lowes has also shown a commitment to their local communities, their needs, and values them, and this store in Hadley is no different--I might even consider it a flagship store. Names of countless, experienced people have helped me, and I am sad to say I can only recall a few of them to tell you on my first review of a Lowes. The Lowes staff is always moving around the store, and so have a traveled understanding of many sections. It's a large store. I've met staff of varying ages, histories, and experiences at Lowes. I've gotten new blinds cut, hdmi extenders, keys, and more. I'm sure I could write more since I have a collection of names of folk who have helped me. Somewhere. The only caveat I have for you is that they have a chat bot call system, and you usually need to try different options until you can speak to a human being. It's worth it since I've gotten a lot of help from everybody throughout the store. More names in a future review I hope. read more

Unfortunately I bought an item for same day delivery and it was not delivered. They informed me that it was delivered but to the wrong place. They said they cant issue a refund or switch my order to a in store pick up. I spent time opening a case to get a refund and was told i would get an update in 24 hours. I called to get an update and the store associate said there is nothing they can do and that they cant look up the case or confirm that my order was delivered to the wrong place. Now its been 3 days - no refund, no order, no case update, no problem solving. Just inconvenience after inconvenience and time wasted. Now I have to go to the store and purchase the item with no resolution. -5/10 experience. read more

Purchased a shelving unit online. Went and picked it up - was told "Don't worry about the box being dented and torn, everything inside is all fine." Come home, spend a good hour or so putting it together, only to find that the last shelf is broken and bent on one corner. I call Lowe's to ask for a replacement for this one part. Oh no, they can't do something so simple! They need the whole unit back. And only then will they give me a new one. So I need to disassemble this one, bring it back, and then get a whole new one and assemble it again? Why am I being expected to do this free labor for their mistake? FUCK YOU LOWES! Don't sell people damaged goods and then expect for them to work for you to make it right. read more

never buy anything from them im a contractor they dont care abought there customers go to home depot they know how to treat a customer

I do wish they rented vans for moving but I do love this place. The staff is nice and very knowledgeable. I shop here all the time. read more

Last year when we were dropping tens of thousands a week at this store the customer service was GREAT, today with a measly $1500 order not so much. The incompetence recently is disheartening. This might be our last straw with this store. We miss Steve W and Chris D! read more

We had our countertops installed yesterday and are really impressed with the quality and craftsmanship. From the beginning, working with Alexis was great. She gave us more than enough information about the different materials and long term care. We would recommend Alexis and Lowe's for anyone considering new kitchen countertops. read more

Just bought a refrigerator from here. The associate, Fran, was phenomenal. In an age of deteriorating and frustrating customer service, this guy was amazing. He cared about the sale and about helping us find the right match. This in contrast with Home Depot who apparently couldn't care less about our needs or making a sale plus the associates there didn't seem to know what they could and could not provide. Also Lowe's was a better as their delivery workers will take off the refrigerator doors to fit through small spaces unlike Home Depot. Bravo, Fran! You've restored our faith in customer service!! Thank you!! read more

Kind of tucked away off the beat and path but pretty close to every other area in its vicinity. Clean store with the exceptions of the bathroom but I guess hardware stores have some major shitters that show up to shop there. The staff there isn't the best. I walked around pretending I was lost for 10 minutes and one guy couldn't even ask me if I needed help. Too busy stocking vinyl gloves, god forbid you run out of those. Most of the time only self checkout or the customer service desk is open to check out. This is a new thing I am not interested in becoming a trend. read more

I just purchased an Ego Power battery lawn mower and had the absolute best customer service help from Bob. When I asked about how to assemble it, and told him that it was the model I wanted, Bob offered to take it out of the box, and show me how to assemble it. In the process of doing so, he showed me how to use it, and then assisted me by bringing it to the register so that I could purchase it. He also brought it out to my car and put it in the back for me. I probably would not have bought it, if Bob had not been so helpful. 10 stars for him! read more

Everyone here was super helpful and friendly! Had them come out and do estimates on some things around my new house and the person who came was professional, honest and easy to speak with. I plan to do a lot more business with this particular Lowe's! read more

I am building a extra bathroom and visit Lowes several times a week picking up fixtures and other building materials. Several time Ray has helped me load sometimes very heavy items. He is always friendly and has a smile in his face. Many times the people who help you in stores make it seems it is inconvenienced for them to help you. Ray makes me feel like a valued Lowes customer. read more

Hit and a miss. We ordered a Frigidaire dishwasher from them. And it was delivered in less than a week. We were so impressed by the service, we decided to go big and ordered a refrigerator on Nov 20, 2019. The trouble started the next day when my delivery date was delayed until Dec 3. Okay, that was acceptable. It's black Friday coming after all. I did confirm that they had the Frigidaire model I wanted in stock. The delay is entirely shipping. Dec 3, rolls around with a noreaster so they called that they would not be able to deliver. Again, that's acceptable. Delivery would be post poned until Thursday. Thursday rolls around and no phone calls. No nothing. I tried calling into Lowes Hadley but no one would pick up the phone at delivery. I keep getting knocked back to the main prompt. I tried the main operator and she told me delivery was delayed until the Dec 10. Okay, why didn't anyone tell me? I finally get an email confirmation after I hang up. Dec 10 rolls around and guess what? No delivery. No calls. I call the next day and was told it was delayed until December 17. Yeah, you can go ahead and cancel the order. Is there a confirmation number? No, you'll get an email. It's been a day and I haven't gotten an email. I log in with my confirmation number and see that indeed the refrigerator has been cancelled but the ice maker attachment had not. Why didn't you cancel they entire order? Why just one thing? Now I have to call you back again? 2 stars. The delivery on the dishwasher was exemplary. Too bad on the refrigerator. read more

Terrible service. A woman named "Ember" could not check us out correctly. Could not find the landscape brick we were trying to buy in their chart. I told her it was 2.59$. She started scanning random bricks in her catalog to try to find the brick. I told her then after 5 minutes of this that I don't want the bricks now. She was upset because they sent a runner to find the price who never came back. Ember became upset at this and said "I don't understand" I told her I do not want the bricks now because of the delay. She was angry and said again "I don't understand, you don't want them now because we could not find the price?" I said yes. She had a terrible attitude and was very condescending. I will not shop at this Lowes again and I will tell everyone not to shop here as well. read more

While we had no issues with the service from Lowes Hadley we are extremely disappointed with the quality of the Pella Hillsboro garage door we just purchased. Within 2 days of being installed several panels started to chip and lose paint. For $1400 would have expected a much better quality product. See pictures above read more

I bought a window air conditioner . When I opened the box, it was clear that it had been opened previously, and one of the mounting parts was missing. I was unable to get the missing part from Lowes, and when I returned the air conditioner, they told me that the only way to get a new one was to order it on line. What's the point of having a store with no product and no customer service? read more

We ordered a microwave online. Lowe's lost our order and the shipment was delayed by two weeks. By the time it finally made it to this store, almost a month after ordering it, customer service was rude to us and we needed to wait over 25 minutes while multiple people were paged to get it for us out of the back. The customer service was horrifyingly bad. Only bonus is the microwave wasn't that expensive. read more

Horrible. Employees didn't know anything, didn't help and didn't care. They were on their phones, and socializing instead.

Not a single person from any department answers their phone. Keep getting looped back to main menu. Came to pick up an order for curb-side pick up. 25 minutes later still no one answered. read more

5-star review for the service, particularly from Ron in the Painting department. Way better experience than I've ever had at Home Depot. He was super helpful, and extra patient with me and my friends - who had no idea what we wanted or how to do it. Even better, when we returned a few days later he remembered us and asked how the projects were going. read more

This is consistently the lamest Lowes location one can run across. Customer service is indifferent and often will misguide you. It's so consistently bad that I have to believe it is top down problem. read more

Overall, poor customer service and lack of selection! The workers (well once you find one!) kind of just mill around talking to each other and DO NOT know building materials at all. I gave it a shot and then went to Home Depot (it's just down the street). I was greeted by two employees the minute I walked in and found what I needed very quickly. What a difference! read more

I received excellent service! I went in to buy a chainsaw for my (65 year old) mother to use, and the lady in the seasonal department was super helpful! We got one that works perfectly! It is light, and fit our specifications perfectly. read more

I ordered a counter top for my kitchen from Lowe's. If you do anything like this, log EVERY interaction you have with Lowe's and with any other company related to your order. The counter top was defective. A seam in it started to bulge, taking in water. Lowe's referred me to the company that made the top. A guy from the company came out and looked at the defect. He said the seam was too close to the sink, that a seam shouldn't have a lot of water on it. They would remake the counter from a single piece. Lowe's had the design of my counter and it was clear where the sink was. I asked Lowe's about the installation. I had paid for someone to do the work, but it was very expensive and I can't afford to pay again. But since Lowe's didn't install it, they will not install this. So I'm stuck with a defective counter top that shouldn't have been made that way in the first place. I will not deal with Lowe's again. read more

I had exceptional experience with Lowes Millwork department. I had my windows installed in my basement and back door with storm door installed. The end result was beautiful! I went through Chris in sales and Mark for the carpentry and installation. They both were very accommodating, easy to work with, and Mark and his team did beyond what I expected for quality work. I live in an old 1912 house and so my back door had to be custom ordered. Mark was able to apply trim to the door so I could go with an "on the shelf size" to save money. His work was great. Services were a lot cheaper than many other offers that were made. read more

I don't know why the previous folks wrote what they did as I've always had the most pleasant experiences at Lowe's (unlike HD - down the street). There IS a scarcity of help but they do come running and are helpful. One associate was with me for over 20 minutes as we tried to figure out a hardware replacement for a vintage bureau. THAT was patience...never got his name...simply walked down the aisle, waved and gone. I like their gardening center. I like browsing the paint department and I've managed to meet knowledgeable associates as what paint/stain/varnish can and cannot do (novice here!). The Loaders are amicable and DO know how to load a car/truck (just bring one BIG ENOUGH). As for community service -they are pro-Boy Scouts. The unit I serve has their USMC POPgrams for Marines at Camp Leatherneck and the associates come out on break to send a few. Maybe if the above came in with SOME idea as to what it is they want/need, the sales staff can better help them. Be specific! read more

SCAM! BEWARE! Lowe's Hadley sold me a Bosch dishwasher that had (supposedly) a $100 rebate. I submitted the receipt and they proceeded to give me the four month run around. They said that their receipt did not have the correct information. I re-mailed it. They said they couldn't read the type. I mailed it again. They said that the offer had now "expired." I spoke with a supervisor, (Oscar ), and got the impression that this is their business plan: offer a rebate to get you to buy, with no intention of fulfilling it. Stay away! read more

I've always had good luck here. The only problem is the fact that the RT.9 traffic sucks, not Lowe's fault at all. I usually check out what I need on website and either do in store pickup or make note of the in store location so I can easily find the items I need. On the few occasions that I needed help to find an item, it has never taken more than a minute or two to find a helpful staff member. Their in store availability is usually right on as well, so if the website says the item is there, you'll probably find it. Pretty good service, although checkout can be a little bit slow. All in all, pretty good experience, every time. read more

Scott did a fantastic job of helping me find a tri star screwdriver when I'd given up all hope. Great service.

A very disappointing experience with installation. While Lowe's was installing a patio door, the installer and his work partner damaged a carpet and outside steps. The installer was careless. I would suggest that if you want the job done well and without damage to your property, go to Home Depot which is right down the road. You may pay more but you will be satisfied with the overall service and attention. read more

I usually go to Home Depot, but a friend was driving from Northampton so we went here because it's a little bit closer. Never again. I wanted paint, the employee at the paint section was playing with her phone and ignored me when I tried to get her attention. I asked her a question about the available paint colors (they have Pantone, and I wanted to know if I could get a certain Pantone color) and she just answered with a "no". I have no idea how purchasing paint works, so I felt very swept under the rug. I went to ask a couple other employees if I could get a certain color of paint if I had a sample, and they rudely interrupted me and told me that their answer was going to be whatever she (the paint lady) said. I told them that I had a different question, but they upset me so I wanted to just leave at that point. My friend and I walked into the garden section to be with the plants and calm down, and that's probably the only reason why they deserve one star. I got a nice ivy for a few bucks. I'm never ever ever going back there again, I'd rather be bothered with "How many I help you?" every 10 feet than no customer service at all! The place felt like it was being run by meth heads. Also when I checked out, the self-checkout attendant had to manually put in the price for the ivy and she was yelling at the machine, I walked away while she did it because I was scared of her! She never told me it was all set, she just walked away. Weird interaction. I seriously thought I was in an alternate universe. read more
