Very poor customer service I'm a woman and in a crunch I bought a couch at a Auction and was about to stop at Home depot to get some straps because the rope i had I felt like it could fall off.I saw Lowes and thought hey they the same but that was farrier from the truth.The only person that worked there that at least tried to help me figure out how to use the straps is a young man by the name of Herb poor baby didn't know but he at least helped me figure it out.I dint want him to strap anything down just didn't know how to use the product.So just so you all know there is a really big difference I will never spend another dime in any Lowes every going forward.I hope Herb go across the street to home depot and work for people who actually have great customer service.All I can say is WOW.And by the way its the Lowes I Denton off Valley Ridge Rd. Lowe's is a bit farther away from the main business on loop 288 but unlike Home Depot there's always plenty of close parking when I go. It's usually not as crowded either so it's usually pretty quick to pick up what I need and get out. I hadn't been to a Lowe's in a while, like so many other companies they now have lots of self checkout machines. The payment process was confusing if you are using a Lowe's credit card but there was an associate that could help out. read more

So disappointed in their customer service! We were at the Lowe's in Denton to purchase gift cards as Christmas gifts. The lady in charge of managing the self- checkout department was unbelievably rude. She acted as though we were causing a problem for her and the store. Her whole department witnessed (as we did)her rolling her eyes, shaking her head, and asking us to go to customer service so that manager could "deal with it". After we were "dealt with", I heard her say it was time for her to go home to her coworkers. In my opinion, that's where she should stay. What a horrible experience! read more

We're remodeling a bathroom in our home. We picked out a faucet from this Lowes. Paid $109 in cash and kept the receipt. We had to address some plumbing issues and it took longer than expected to get to installation. This week end, July 4th we were finally ready to install only to find out it was the wrong faucet. We took the faucet (still in original box with plastic straps intact) unopened and our receipt to Lowes to swap it for the correct faucet. The girl at the check out counter FLAT OUT REFUSED TO FO ANYTHING FOR US. My husband asked for the manager. A girl ESLI came to the check out. Looked at the faucet and our receipt and claimed she couldn't take it back even WITH THE RECEIPT! It was over 90 days from purchase by 4 days. Esli refused to even give us a gift card for it! My husband didn't think she could possibly be a manager based on her rude conduct! He was right!!! She called DARREN TO THE FRONT! Darren backed up Esli, lectured us on their return or exchange policy! At first refusing to assist us in any way at all. I started making notes on names and everything happening. My husband had gotten a picture of the faucet we actually needed and the barcode. He convinced Darren to check and see if it was in stock. Once Darren looked, he realized they did have it but it was buried on top somewhere!!!! The two guys went to look for it. Meanwhile I'm just standing there and Esli decided to call security on me! To our luck there was only one left and it was the display. We asked if we could purchase them and to our LUCK, they gave us the set of penguins and the beautiful snowman for 50% OFF! That's right! We paid for one and got the other one for FREE! Plus the little snowman made out of tree wood had a piece loose so I got an additional 10% OFF! I went by last weekend to pick up a few items for a project in the yard. The store was very busy with others that had the same idea. As I walked around shopping three team members asked if I needed help finding items. It was refreshing to see that great guest service is alive and well at Lowe's. A week ago on 12/9 our dishwasher died. My wife found a dishwasher at Lowes online that fits what we need. But as we've recently had some bad experiences with buying things online from Lowes, she told me to go to the store to buy it. So I went to Lowes in Denton and found the dishwasher my wife found. The website mentioned also something about next day delivery. As soon as I said anything about delivery/installation, I was told that "Oh our system is jacked up, so we don't know" Should have taken that as a sign. As I continued in the process, I gave them my phone number for them text a link for a contract for me to sign. They attempted four or five times to do so and I never got the link. I was then told that they would have to "do this the old fashioned way" and print up the contract. They tried and there was no paper in the printer and they had to scour the store to find some paper to put in the printer...Should have taken that as another sign. At that time when I paid for the dishwasher, I was told that someone would call me on Monday or Tuesday to discuss delivery/installation. When nobody called, I called the store back after five on Tuesday. They said because deliveries/instillations are done through a third party, they really don't have any information about them. So they gave me some other numbers to call and even told me to press option nine on one of them. For that particular phone number, there were only two options to choose from. I called the store back and pointed that out. They gave me a few other numbers to call. Most of which didn't work either. I've been going round and round with them since then. Yesterday, I called one the numbers that actually did work to the distribution center. I was told by the person who answered that call (her name is Michelle) that delivery and instillation before Christmas is unlikely. Then I called the customer service line that the store owner suggested in the google review that I left. The person there (her name was Jasmine) told me that the dishwasher has been ordered to be pulled and placed in the loading bay at the store on 12/18. Today (12/16). I called and explained my predicament to the person who answered. She then transferred the call to the appliance department. After bouncing around the phone system for a couple of minutes, someone in the appliance department finally picked up. His name is Dewayne. I told him my situation (about being told two different stories about delivery/install) He told me to hang on and put me on hold. I was then bounced around the system for a couple more minutes. A young lady finally answered and after doing some fairly laborious digging on her computer, finally found my order. She said that there is no ETA but said that she would go to the appliance section and she or someone else would call me back. I was on the phone for 17 minutes and still have no idea as to when or if the dishwasher that is paid for will be delivered and installed...Services that have also been paid for (added roughly $250.00 to the cost of the appliance. I'm not all that confident that anyone will call me back today. So I guess I'll call back again tomorrow....And the day after that.....And the day after that.....Until I have some concrete idea as to when the dishwasher we bought will be delivered. I honestly thought that the previous problem that we had, involving the purchase and delivery of a washing machine was just a hiccup. But now I'm seeing that this is business as usual for Lowes. So long story short, if you're looking for a shovel or an electric drill that you can buy and walk out of the store with. Lowes is your place. But if you're needing something delivered and installed, go to Home Depot. You will probably pay more, but I expect you'll have a better experience than we are having. read more

I have been trying to get a floor put in by Lowe's since August 22. They've been out twice. Neither time did they get the flooring in now today, they tried one more time and we don't have enough material. I would highly recommend to stay away from Lowe's because they do not have your best interest. They don't know how to do their jobs. It's ridiculous, so I've had Flooring ordered since August and they delivered some but it's not all here because somebody messed up the measuring so I told him I want my money back and I will never use them again I advise anyone else to not use them as well. read more

Update: We went to Lowe's yesterday and needed assistance in locating items within the store. The "help" button in our aisle was not working so I went one aisle over to use that one. Upon pressing the "help" button and waiting for a few minutes, Kerry arrived to assist. After introducing myself I advised him that my question was not for this aisle, but rather one aisle over and that the "help" button was not working there. He begrudgingly walked over to assist. We asked him our question and he literally just turned and walked away. That's it. We just stared at each other and watched him disappear into another aisle. Only when he noticed that we were not following did he bother to look back and give us a weird look like "are you coming?" He pointed at what we needed and just walked away. He has no hello for us, no how may I help you, no happy Sunday, no nothing! He was totally rude and irritated me so much so that I walked over to him to the desk upon where he took his spot after leaving us and asked for his name after introducing myself (again). We ordered an appliance 2 weeks ago in the delivery date was supposed to be this last Saturday. Called Saturday and they told me it was full to call tomorrow. I called first thing in the morning and those knuckleheads had no idea who I was they had to look me up on the computer to actually find me and they go oh I'm so sorry will get it right away. Then his delivery guy called and said he was on his way so I waited for two hours before I called him back. They change the timeframe from the morning to the afternoon without even giving us notice. Go at your on risk with any type of delivery service. Very unorganized delivery service. I would advise to go to Best Buy Home Depot or anybody else because this company is a joke when it comes to delivery service. And if you decide to buy something from there bring your own truck or have it delivered by different delivery company. read more

I've used the garden department several times and my plants have been of a higher quality. I bought my fridge there 3 years ago and still pleased and I just bought my washer and dryer set yesterday. The man in the section was very knowledgeable. I had to wait for my mom to come from Fort Worth as she was helping me pay and I ended up waiting 45 mins since she hit traffic; I was asked many times if I needed help. A manager saw some employees talking together and me just waiting and was about to get angry with them for not helping me. I will say there are a few workers still there who seem to resent having to serve but they seem to be missing me when I visit recently. Very happy not to have a mask policy too. read more

I come back after having tracked down a receipt and the second lady credits the purchase amount back to the purchasing credit card. I told her that I wanted store credit or an exchange, not a complete refund and she told me I should have spoke up before she entered it into the system. I waited for 30 minutes for help with a ceiling fan. Customer service called for someone 3 times and no one ever showed up. There were several employees just "standing around"? I was told they were short handed? The store was not crowded at all. Finally, a man named Michael (I think from the patio / grill area) helped me find what I needed. I recently placed an order through Lowe's and picked the ship to store fulfillment method. The order was an outdoor shed so it was a pretty large item. I opted to do pickup at store because it would be cheaper to arrange getting it to my house than having Lowe's ship it. Boy was I mistaken. I received an email notifying me that my order was ready for pickup so I rented a truck and headed over to Lowe's. They looked for about an hour and couldn't find my order. They later called and said it had not been received. I called corporate and they called my local store and was able to find the order. The next day we tried again. I rented a truck and arrived at Lowe's. This time they found it and loaded it and I went home. I called Lowe's to let them know about the inconvenience and they gave me a 10% discount. End of story right? Wrong. A few hours later when I went to start on assembly, I noticed the box said 1 of 2. Lowe's has failed to load my entire order. I called back up to my local Lowe's and they were able to locate the other box in around an hour and offered to ship it to my house. The only problem is that the "next available" time is over a week away. Needless to say I rented a truck (and payed) again and finishing the order myself. I'm very disappointed with the experience, even with the 10% discount. The hassle, time lost, and the rental costs add up to over 10%. Buyer beware. read more

12/29/2020 We had ordered a custom 42" x 96" storm/security door at the Denton TX Lowes on 12-29-2021 for an estimated completion date of 1-23-2021 (in store 1/18 and delivered by 1/23). Lead time 3 weeks on the paperwork. Grand total of $1617.50 It ended up taking 5 weeks for Larson to build it vs. the 3 we were told. 2/2/2021 Was scheduled with Install Partners for installation with another 13 days out to 2/15/2021. 2/15/2021 2/15 was when the two Texas ice storms were slated to hit. Install Partners called 20 minutes after the 2 hour deliver and install window started, when they knew the ice and snow were coming several days ahead of time. They set up another delivery and install of 2/25. 2/25/2021 - 8 weeks 2 days in!!!! Install Partners finally showed up over 3 weeks after door arrived at store. They opened the box and the door was shattered and cracked in all directions of the security glass. Come to find out from Lowes..the door was picked up by Install Partners before 2/15... So they had the door for over 10 days in their possession and damaged it. Door had to be reordered with an estimated delivered date of 3/18/2021....a little over 3 weeks. 3/29/2021 - 12 weeks and 6 days in!!!! Door shows up at Lowes at another 5 weeks build...surprise, surprise after being told 3 weeks again. And were not even informed by Lowes at all that it was even in store....fast forward to .... 4/1/2021 - 13 weeks and 1 day in!!! 4/1...April Fools Day- Install Partners auto messages us a time for guess what--- April 11th delivery. They put us out another 10 days. 4/2/2021 We went to Lowes of Denton to inspect the door and my 5' wife and I picked up the heavy door ourselves and took it home in my truck after paying for delivery and install. Received a call from store manager David asking if we had spoken with Install Partners to confirm appt because after multiple calls to Install Partners by him and asst. manager they stated notes in system stated "unable to reach us...but will be installed on Saturday 4/3 after all of our complaints to Lowes. Guess what...checked call logs of our cell numbers and no one other than family or work related. 4/3/2021. 13 weeks and 3 days since they took our money!!! Waited all morning and afternoon for them to show up to install the door and they NO-SHOWED us. Called Lowes Installed Sales at 1pm and at this point we are not even on the books. $1617 and 13 1/3 weeks later....no end in sight. Now we are forced to find a handyman which will cost us another $200 easily.....and they are all 2 weeks out. It will be nearly 4 months to have a simple storm door installed after being told 3 weeks. That will put us at $1817. At this point we've lost all faith in Lowes and Install Partners and pissed for the 4th time since January. We have been trying to get ahold of Install Partners for 10 weeks now off & on with no answer or returned messages. Install Partners has ZERO customer service from scheduling, delivery, falsely blaming Lowes for the door being destroyed, etc. They have ZERO respect for Lowes or their customers. Terrible terrible company!!! The store manager David kept promising us he could get it done, contact his district manager, and "work his magic" for weeks now. Lowes truly has not been any better than Installed Partners and this will be the last large purchase with them ever. Nothing personal with David...seemed like a nice guy. If Home Depot doesn't have it...we don't need it....or we go independent and pay more. Both companies are a joke and don't care about you...the consumer. They have done so well during Covid-19 that they just don't need any customer service to make money. And guess what?? Installed Partners is whom all DFW Lowes stores are going to for installation and delivery of windows, doors, etc, because they are "centralizing" the process. When we inquired about our item we were told it was not an essential therefore wouldn't be retrieved quickly. When we asked to return it to go get it ourselves we were rudely spoken to by Kyla. Who continued to be rude the whole time. Then to top it off Dana, the manager, was rude and not willing to assist. We finally got it returned and as we were leaving Kyla was laughing. He helped me pick out the right fertilizer and helped me get all the tools I needed for the project. He was like a walking you tube channel on back yard projects! The item I was looking for wasn't even in his department he works but he searched for the item and when I had questions on the battery lIfe etc he helped in reading details about the warranty and reviews on the item. Recently bought an electric range, cord, and five year warranty from Lowe's. When it was delivered it was defective, so I refused it. The Lowe's associate I spoke with gave me his mobile number so that I could keep up with when they'd get a new one. He wouldn't respond to my calls or my texts. I only knew that a new stove was being delivered because I called customer service. They just delivered my new stove, or I should say tried to deliver it. It looked like someone had beaten it with a baseball bat, both sides and the front and bottom drawer with obvious damage. This was a $1000 stove. I am going to Lowe's and getting a complete refund, and I'm also canceling the granite countertops I'd planned on buying at Lowe's and getting that $99 fee back that was for an installer to come out and correctly measure everything. And that's the other thing, I've been trying to buy granite countertops and appliances at Lowe's for months now, with no luck, no assistance, bad service. Do NOT use Lowes or give them your credit card. They have a policy to re charge your card every 7 days until your order comes in. This is UNAUTHORZIED use of your card and drains your band account. When I complained I was told this is policy and they release the last charge after they recharge and if that was a problem then I should contact my Bank.. SMH are you kidding me. This outrageous procedure and conduct. I am filing a fraud complaint with the Attorney General of Texas for Fraud and unauthorized use of my care. Isles here were so overcrowded because of sales pallets everywhere. Navigating a large cart for shopping would be next to impossible down the front isle of the store. Selection was a bit muddled as well with not all items in stock we were looking for. Items seem difficult to find when compared to Home Depot also. The kids 'build n grow' is only ok. Again the workers don't seem to like kids so not sure why they are overseeing the events. The crafts are usually cheaply made too. I hate to complain about something that's free, but in comparison again to Home Depot, it's really lacking. Prices also seem a little higher than Home Depot. My son went to Denton Lowe's to purchase a small deep freeze for me. After purchasing one, there was NO ONE to help him load the box. He was not offered assistance of any kind by the sales person. Upon opening the packaging when he brought it home, we noticed a LARGE dent on the front. I immediately called the store. No one cared...No manager on duty as it we his day off. I spoke to the customer service rep at the 800 number. Of course I was reprimanded for NOT requesting assistance in loading the appliance. No apology, NADA. He said he would transfer me to someone who cared ( my words, NOT his) Surprise, surprise, surprise...I was cut off. My comment is, "Customer service" is a cuss word when it comes to accountability.
