I've never posted a negative review, but I am compelled today. I bought a bike pump here for under $15. It was definitely a mistake on my part not to test it right away, but... When I realized the adaptor didn't fit my presta valve, I brought it back to get help. The label says it EASILY fits presta and schrader. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, or I got the wrong adapter in my package. I might just need some education. The manager said she can't help me without a receipt. The pump still has the Harbor Freight tag. I just want it to work, or get one or a part that does. No receipt, no help. I asked her if she really wanted to lose a customer over a $15 item. She just walked away. I am VERY disappointed in that type of customer service. read more

Know before you go. Online it said item was on clearance. At checkout I was told "it must only be the one color" Online it showed multiple colors on clearance. The Denton store management is severely lacking. Haven't had that issue in it yet Harbor Freight stores, but the Denton store won't see me again. They are the best advertisement Northern Tool, Lowe's, Home Depot and other stores won't have to pay for - just because their customer service is non existent. read more

This place makes there own rules not corporate rules or policy. They will waste your time. Go to another nicer area. They make up rules as they go. I'm a business owner and if this was the only harbor freight in existence I wouldn't use harbor freight any longer. They are lazy at this store. I have been to this store a lot. They are always rude and there isn't ever anyone to help. Yesterday I went in to there to look for a sale item. There was a lady running around like the white rabbit late for his guard duty for the queen. I ask her where this item was and she got on her phone and waved her hand over her head and said over there. Then I when and stood in line and there was 7 people deep waiting to talk to the lady at the register and she was rude. Her name was Melissa and I ask her if she could tell me if they still had any and she said yes you need to look where the rotatory tools are. I told her and she didn't have any interest in helping me. I have never been so frustrated with a store. read more

Worst place in the world to shop at. Went in on Thursday to buy a compressor and was told by the cashier to wait until this weekend to receive 20% off of the price. Get there today Sunday and they tell me that they have them in stock but they aren't honoring the 20% even after being told on Thursday that they would. Customer service is probably the worst I have ever seen. The customers should automatically know where items are located in the store, because if you ask someone who works there where to find something, they snap your head off and look at you like you are stupid. We just moved here and have never been treated so poorly. I wouldn't recommend this store to ANYONE. read more

My wife and I went to return 2 tv wall mounts a while back. We knew it was well past their return period policy but thought what do we have to lose. Went to a cashier and explained the situation and he said he needed a managers approval. Manager came over and after talking with him he said he would give us store gift card for the amount. Both cashier and manager were extremely nice and helpful. read more

I just drove away from the Harbor Freight after purchasing a bit set. The shelled the price said it was $5.99 however after I left the store my receipt showed it was $7.99. I immediately called and spoke to the person who answered the phone. I explained the issue and told him that this happens quite often with their advertise prices are never correct when you purchase versus the price on the shelf. He said he was sorry and offered no resolution and said what do you want me to do about it? I again explained how concerned I was about it and again he offered no resolution at all. If I could give this store negative stars I would. I tried calling ahead to see if the air compressor I wanted was in stock. No luck. I then went on the website, and though you can add the item to your cart, there is no way of knowing if the item is actually in the store. I then went to the store and on the floor model there is a little tag you take to the register to buy the item. It's not until you've waited in line for 10 or 15 minutes that the person behind the register will check to see if they even have the item, which they did not. They then said it would take two to three weeks to get it back in stock and they will not ship between stores to get the item faster. My only option was to drive an additional 25 miles to another store. If you're not going to answer the phone, if your website isn't going to accurately tell you what is and isn't in stock, then don't put tags on the in-store items showing the item is in stock if it's not. Bait and switch tactics like this only piss off your customers, or lose them for life. Bottom line, unless you're going to buy the cheap crap they already have on the shelves, save your time and order from a reputable company that's not just trying to get bodies in the store. They don't care if you get what you came for because there's always a line of people behind you with stuff they are going to buy. I walked away determined to spend the extra money at better businesses from now on. Very disappointed and will not return, unsubscribed from their email notices and washing my hands of this read more

Agree with most other reviews on the terrible attitude and overall bad customer service from some of the employees. Even more frustrating is the time it takes Harbor Freight to ship items when ordered online. I've ordered online many times with the same bad results but this time I placed an order on 11/17/18 and it was not shipped until 11/25/18. Its now 11/29/18 and per the tracking it won't arrive until 12/4/18. They must use the absolute cheapest shipping methods for it to take so long but there is no excuse to wait 8 days before giving it to the parcel carrier. I will take the terrible customer service in the store over waiting a month for an online order. I can't boycott you because your products are so darn cheap but I will definitely start my tool searches on Amazon from now on instead of being loyal to HF. read more

Giving a 2 only because the manager was great but the employee... Harleigh. I think she needs to learn customer service. Needed to swap something and the minute we went to her register she was standoffish. Got outside and realized she didn't give us a full refund so went back in. Wow was she not nice! First argued (even though it was in black and white on receipt) then instead of a sorry I messed up, she said "oh you didn't tell me you wanted to use the coupon". Mind you this was an even swap - the warranty. When she finally saw her error again no apology for messing up... still bitter like we were inconveniencing her. Manager came and all the sudden she was apologizing and a different person. Manager was great and said start shopping first at his store... um sorry to say we won't if employees like Harleigh are there. read more
