This is the most incompetent store I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Changing a phone number for an order is worse than pulling teeth and is borderline impossible. Seriously. 4 fucking times having to have someone change the number for a delivery and 4 fucking times it still hasn't been god damned changed. TWO failed deliveries because of the sheer unmitigated stupidity that this shit is handled with. I am honest to god surprised that lowes employees can tie their own shoes without assistance with the way this shit is handled. Plenty of apologies and not a damned thing done to actually fix the underlying issues or resolve the situation. So instead of waiting for them to fuck up a 3rd delivery and cost me more time and money I'm just going to rent a truck and get the order myself. At least then I'll know it's done and done right instead of dealing with this concrete box full of fuckups again. I'd go with the usual statements of you've lost me as a customer, but lets be realistic. You're a national chain with zero accountability and zero fucks given about your reputation, integrity or customers so it doesn't matter if I ever shopped there again or not, you would give exactly the same zero fucks. Hopefully, however, this will at least let someone else see that it's not worth the time, effort or stress of dealing with lowes and they'll go deal with literally ANYBODY else before coming to you. They stole $215 of my money We ordered a refrigerator and dishwasher on sale during Memorial Day. We knew both were on back order and didn't mind waiting for both as we thought we got a good price. When we got home I measured both the spaces for the fridge and dishwasher and cancelled the fridge because it was to big. Then the dishwasher installer came and said that the dishwasher wouldn't fit because the counter was to low. I even checked the height myself and it had enough space. He also informed us without even bringing the dishwasher in the house so we could see it that the box was basket damaged and that he'd picked up a few that day that were badly damaged so we took it that because of the damage and I wasn't able to argue about the fit that everything would get refunded and what we paid in the beginning would all be refunded. It's been almost 2 1/2 months now and I've still yet to receive a full refund. They refunded me for the item but not install fee has yet to be refunded and the difference that they still owe us was even more than the install fee. After multiple calls to them to get this fixed and so called specialist never calling up back I can honestly say they will never get my money and will advise anyone I know to never use them. read more

I'd rate a zero if I could. I've been waiting since 8 am for my delivery. Last night I received a call stating I was in the 8-10 time frame. 9:45 comes around so I call the customer help number attached to my order. She says that I am their first call for the day and they will be there at 10. 10:30 comes so I call the store that appliance is coming from. She tells me I am in the 10-12 time frame and that they will be there within that time. Just says sorry that I was told other information. It is 12:20. Ordered a new dishwasher in person at the store, lady working in appliances was fantastic to work with. Unfortunately the dishwasher had to be ordered in, not uncommon. Ordered and set to receive 3 days at the store, delayed due to some weather, not uncommon. 6 days after ordering the dishwasher arrives and a date is set to have it installed 4 days later, not uncommon. Installation day is here, the installer shows up at the store, Lowe's employees can't seem to find the dishwasher. The installer leaves empty handed after waiting for 3 hours for them to find the dishwasher with no success. The next day I receive a call saying we have located the dishwasher in our store. Fast forward one week I have been transferred to every department besides gardening, been left on hold, hung up on, or been promised a return call to try and get a new date for installation only to be met with the common phrase of "I can't do anything from here". Thankfully there is a Home Depot right next door and I will utilize them a bit more often until this Lowe's can figure out their deficiencies. it takes for ever rather you are calling a store or the 800 number to get a hold of anyone, and as soon as you do they make you feel as if you are bothering them and rush you off to someone else without assisting or addressing your concerns. I use to love this store but now Home Depot is killing them with customer service product assistance, billing, I can go on and on. This Lowe's consistently has terrible service. Vonsidering Home Depot is next door and carries the same items at the same prices, there really is no reason to go here. I can sum up my 4 times visiting this Lowe's with the following: I walk in to Lowe's. I cant find what I am looking for/and have questions on something. I wait for a staff member to come by. None come. I go looking for a staff member to help me. I eventually find a staff member and ask for help. The staff member says they will get someone to help me. No one comes to help me. Repeat this process 2 or 3 more times before someone comes to help. The staff member who finally shows may or may not have any actual knowledge of what I am asking for. read more

Let me start this by saying I am loyal to a fault and this used to be my 'go-to' Lowe's location. So I'm in the process of a kitchen rehabilitation so I'm in the market for about $7000 worth of appliances. Being loyal to Lowe's now as I have been my entire life I go to the Chesapeake location. I figured this being a Sunday I would have time to shop, ask questions, and grab a few extra things. I go in through the garden center and in lieu of the employee greeting me, I greet the employee to which his response is a blank stare into nothingness... I think maybe he doesn't hear me so I address him again this time I get a snide look as he stares me directly in the face. That speaks very highly of your customer service Lowe's. As I pass from the garden center into the building and employee stepped out into the weather and I'm greeted with, "Oh lord it's hot!" (NOTE: Hot enough I guess to where she went to her register and went to sleep. See picture) I proceed through the store passing exactly three employees on my way to appliances and not so much as a look... Getting into appliances I get to looking and taking notes and pictures. TWO employees are at the service desk for the appliance center and both look at me several times wandering around their section and don't so much as greet me. I'm in their section over 10 minutes to include walking within 3 feet of them and don't get a greeting, don't get a "how may I help you", nothing. Glad you guys want to make some money! Lastly, I decide to leave without buying so much as a flower and on my way out I am still dealing with this award-winning customer service... I finally do see one employee that flashes me a smile and lets out some unintelligible gobbledygook of words that I can only think was "Hi." As I walked out, I snapped the picture of the cashier hard at work. I didn't sneak up to do this as when I walked past I laughed aloud. No movement. This was the same super employee I met who was taken aback by the weather... So my summary for the day: this store that I used to love so much made me boil with hate and discontent during a whopping 15 minute visit. It was blatantly obvious that the majority of the employees I encountered in the store needed to go through some semblance of customer service training or at a minimum understand that they work in the customer service industry and they should at least smile and say hello to incoming customers. Thank you Lowe's, thank you for reminding me that there are other options for me to shop and why I usually go to small mom-and-pop hardware stores - because they actually give a damn. read more

I placed and online order for some pavers. My husband went into the store to pick them up. He was getting the runaround from 5 different people on what desk to go to, to let someone know he wanted to pick up the order. 2 ladies were behind the desk having personal conversations not even acknowledging the fact he was there until he spoke up and said something. He was then told to go around back and someone would help him. After going around back and waiting for 10 minutes, he had to get back in his truck to go back into the store because no one ever came out. They told him to go back around and someone would be there again. A man came out and asked what he was there for, he told him an order pick up. The man proceeds to tell him "I don't know if we have those in stock or not." Well, why would I have placed an online order for something that states there was over 1500 pavers in stock. Long story short, he comes back and has the pavers. My husband ended up loading them by hand with no assistance while the guy just watched. Let's get a little more training for your employees. Cashiers don't greet you and attitudes when you ask questions. Bought a dishwasher from there. It took them over a month to deliver. They rescheduled the delivery more than five times. When it was finally delivered it had a huge dent in it. When we called the store about the damage, we were transferred more than six times. We are now waiting for them to come get it so we can get a refund. The service manager Diane was very rude and difficult to deal with. We were never offered any type of compensation or reasonable explanation of why it took so long to deliver a dishwasher that we were told was in stock when we purchased it. read more

We placed an order for a fence to be installed 2 months ago. Permits and everything were filed and came back approved. We were given a date that the materials were to be dropped off and the contractor to come and install the fence. Nothing happened on the dates we were given. The materials were finally dropped off a week later and the contractor was scheduled to come out on that day. No contractor has come out to install the fence. In the meantime we are paying a bill for a service we did not get. All we are get this the run around from the store and the contractor. I will never set door in this store again or order anything online from Lowe's period. I will take care of my home improvement needs through Home Depot from now on. I don't recommend this store or any of their affiliates for anything, not even a light bulb. They are very incompetent!! read more

I bought a bathroom vanity and was assured it was in stock. I sent my contractor over to pick it up, and he was told it was not in stock. He spent over an hour for them to check. I went in the next day, and there it was. The manager, Nick, took me right to it. My contractor went over the next day and it took another hour for him to get it. He was treated like they were doing him a favor. I called the store 4 times to speak to a manager. No one answered. I was told I would get a percentage off for my trouble. It would go back on my credit card. It did not. The associate that worked in appliances was more than rude to me and other people as well. I called the 1-800-number and was put on hold for 31 minutes. I could no longer wait because I had to work. I called the next day and was put on hold for 37 minutes. The person then asked if they could put me on a brief hold. I told her I had to get back to work. I was on hold for 10 more minutes. I could not wait any longer. What has happened to Lowes Customer Service? It is so poor. I am shocked. If you can, avoid Lowes. Go to Home Depot instead. I will. read more

We ordered landscape timbers online. I love the online ordering site, but there is where it ended. The quality of the timbers were so poor, that we had to return 12 our of 40. We could only find 6 decent ones (not great, just not in a complete arc. The refund for the other 6 came to $19 and change. The cashier INSISTED that we used a Lowes card to pay and therefore the refund would go to that card. I questioned it saying that the card was a VISA. She was so insistent that we questioned ourselves. Sure enough when we got home and compared the card that we paid with, it was not a match. Not only that, neither of us had a Lowes card with the number she refunded to. After calling headquarters and working our way back down to the local store, we were told we would be given $20 in cash if we came to the store and talked to Mike. Mike was supposed to be there until 7 pm. I got there at 6:35 and Mike had gone home for the day. No one knew what was going on. Another manager was going to come out to talk to me. Ten minutes later he called up front to say he was on the way. Ten minutes after that an associate came to me and took my information. She called Mike and came back to handle the transaction. I walked out of the store with the $20, but I cooled my heals there for about 40 minutes. 1. Poor product 2. Sloppy accounting 3. One hand does not seem to talk to the other. read more

Bought new Whirlpool range 11/17. Lowes delivered and installed, 14 months later my power cord burned on one leg and burnt the block it attaches to on the rear of the range. Since Lowe's people installed the cord they took responsibility for the problem. Manager Mike contacted me and offered to replace the cord. The parking lot can get crowded but I would go to Lowe's any time of the day just to avoid going to Home Depot.
