I have been a loyal Lowe's customer, but this was one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. I paid Lowe's for same-day delivery. The delivery arrived 2 hours and 45 minutes late, and despite clear instructions to leave my order at my front door, the delivery driver left my order at the very end of my driveway next to the road. That is not a completed delivery. When I contacted the delivery company, OneRail, I spent over an hour getting the runaround. Instead of taking responsibility, I was met with rude, dismissive, and sarcastic customer service because I expected the driver to complete the delivery properly. The most disappointing part is that OneRail represents Lowe's. As the customer, I didn't choose OneRail--Lowe's did. When Lowe's contracts with a delivery company, customers reasonably expect that company to meet Lowe's standards for professionalism and service. This wasn't simply a late delivery. It was a complete breakdown in customer service from start to finish: nearly three hours late, delivery instructions ignored, my order abandoned at the end of my driveway, and no meaningful effort to correct the mistake. Lowe's needs to seriously reconsider its partnership with OneRail. Every failed OneRail delivery becomes a Lowe's customer experience, and that's exactly what happened here. Pickup took over 40 minutes when should've taken 10 minutes, asked us to go around then waited another 10 minutes for someone to show up. We Ordered 5 bags of mulch and he brought out a tracker with over 50 when like I said only 5 of those were needed. We even had somewhere to be after. Would not recommend. read more

Ordered online at 11 o'clock said pick up would be ready at two went at four order was still not ready. Three items... Spoke to the manager who could've cared less today. Told me I could cancel the order pick it myself and then go purchase it, and when I suggested he go get it for me he informed me that wasn't part of his job! Be careful ordering carpet from Lowes. They might offer deals but the measurement came in 62 square feet higher than 3 other companies which all came in the same so the quote was a lot higher than it chould have been. Do yourself a favor DO NOT BUY an appliance from Lowe's. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing! I went to buy a premium dishwasher in the store and after wasting an hour with several associates they couldn't get their computer system to work correctly so they couldn't order the unit. No problem I was able to order it on line or so I thought. Then after hearing nothing I reached out to find out when they were going to install, they weren't sure but someone would call me. That's when you meet Company X, a third party that is supposed to handle the delivery and install. Company X sets up a time for the "install" but they didn't say that was to verify the measurements not to install. I get a call from Company Z, he's an independent contractor that works for Company X who is a third party vendor who works for Lowe's! Company Z gets confused about dates and says he's not sure why they need to measure he thought he was hired to install. So nobody has come out to measure except for me and I know it will fit and it's my money any ways. So I call Lowes who says they have to have me talk to Company X, and 30 minutes later I am still on hold with Company X listening to Mozart I think. I went in specifically for power strips and a USB tower. I located both and they had a variety with good supply. The store was clean and organized. I did not require the assistance of staff. LOWE'S in Chesapeake is the worst for customer service. The team in this department does nothing to help customers. Ordered thousands of dollars of cabinets but waiting on one piece of trim for a month, does anyone know where it is? Call customer service and get the run around. The following issues may be endemic to the Lowes culture, but apply only to Battlefield in this review. Employee attitudes are either exemplary or meh with a bit of disregard for good measure. The selection of products is just fine, but the disparity in service from employee to employee is frustrating. Many employees are wonderfully knowledgeable about store layout and they smile walking the customer to exactly where the product is stocked. The check-out process can be a real challenge. If there are five employees at the self-checkout you may get a smile from two. That ratio is constant throughout the store. To sum up; service and information is hit and miss. However it is a clean and safe store. One piece of advice - if the front line checkouts are full - go down to the contractor checkout for quicker service. read more

I enjoy this Lowe's location. Very organized and bright inside. I come here mainly for their garden center because this one is always stocked with the freshest plants that are in season. Sometimes, they have a plant clearance section between seasons. I received a great deal on an Allen Roth 3-person swing, normally 650dols over 60 percent off. Whee! Score!!! If I could give 0 stars, I would. Recently ordered a dryer on-line. The power cord was the wrong version. The delivery personnel said for a TIP, they could probably find the right cord on their truck. We declined as we had already paid for the product/installation. They then had to be prompted to put the dryer into place place and install the vent. Next, they asked us to sign that the dryer had been properly installed and was working as it should. Came in today looking for some fall mums to put outside. Wasn't disappointed. Actually found some really pretty Yello hanger mums that were full and on clearance for $7 a piece. I have been going to this Lowe's for many years now. They have a nice garden section. I picked up all my garden necessities from there recently and it was all a success. Also have used their paints before to paint the rooms and bathroom. They have many colors and the staff in that area have been helpful too with my questions. I always enjoy seeing their backyard patio displays. Staff has been polite and helpful. Parking is ample. If your hungry there's a Dominic's , which has yummy cheesesteaks. read more

it's been a few years since my original review of this Lowe's store so an update is merited. I am removing a star from my previous score due to their seeming inability to consistently handle online orders for curbside or store pickup in an efficient and trouble-free manner. When you place an order online they tell you to wait for an email indicating the order is ready for pickup. There are just too many times where the email never comes even after waiting several hours or more. My last order (a lawnmower) was ordered midmorning and when I still hadn't received an email by 5:30 PM I went to the store. Needless to say, it wasn't ready. Judging from the experience of some of my friends, this is not unusual. Overall, I still like shopping at Lowe's but find shopping in person more efficient and problem-free than buying online. Lowe's is a home improvement big box store which retails supplies, tools, construction products and services. They also have a very nice garden center. They have great quality products and services and always seem to have what I need at a fair and competitive price. Shopping at Lowe's is pretty easy these days. Gone are the days of wandering around the store looking for an item or tracking down an employee to ask where an item is located. Lowe's has kept up with the times so you can just take out your phone and access their app to find if a product you want is available and where in the store it is located. Keeping track of your purchases is easy when you elect to receive an email copy of your receipt in addition to the paper one you receive in the store. Employees are friendly and professional. They seem to enjoy their jobs and are willing to answer my questions or offer help. The store appears clean and well organized, restrooms are clean and properly stocked. The private parking lot is huge so parking is never an issue even though there are times when it is very busy and crowded. The lot is kept clear of debris and stray carts so navigating is usually unimpeded. Outside the store entrance there is Dominic's of New York kiosk where you can grab a pretty decent cheesesteak or other sandwich. Be careful driving by the entrance because sometimes there is a line of people at the kiosk. read more

I would give them no stars if I could. Ron from the store came out to give me an estimate and we discussed how I wanted the fence to be built. The installers showed up whenever they wanted for a period of three weeks. I explained prior to installation with Ron and the installers I wanted a privacy fence and did not want gaps between the boards. After they had completed building the fence we had huge gaps between the fence boards. We called Lowe's and they said the boards shrunk after drying, I explained that the 25 year old fence that they replaced did not have gaps. I feel I spent $7500 with no recourse. I am giving it a 3 because I know staffing is low and people are doing the best during this time of COVID. I have been here 3 times in the last week and checking out takes forever. I had to wait 30 mins for a manager and that's not including the 30 mins to get the help I needed in the garden center. The other day everyone was looking for people to help them (and waiting in line to get into the store)and today (no line to get in)there's lots of workers, but not cashiers. It wouldn't be such an inconvenience if we didn't have to take time off work to wait for it to arrive. Especially since this time we had to empty out our refrigerators & put everything in coolers. G try his is my second time in two days at this Lowes location. I was looking for trellis suitable for my cucumbers in my garden. They have a variety but I ended up with the black coated metal ones which seem to be sturdier and hopefully rust resistant to last for years. The trellis I got were about 6 ft by 18 inches at the widest part, perfect for letting the cucumber vines to cling to. There are horizontal bars so the tendrils can clasp to. The trellis costs $17 with tax, not bad compared to tomato cages of lesser quality. Checkout was fast, they have more checkout counters than self checkout which is my preference. And... as a bonus, there's a Dominic's food stand that serves really good sandwiches. They smell good as you pass by so I had to try the gyro for just $7.79 including tax. There are sausages, hotdogs, chicken and steak, Philly cheese steak. It's cooked with the usual - sautéed onions and peppers! So what else can you ask for from a home improvement store!??? read more

We all usually think of Lowe's for all our home improvement needs. Yeah, they pretty much have what you need, but not everything. I needed a basic foil pan for the bottom of the inside of my oven. They didn't have it. Disappointed about that! Prices are decent. They do have a great selection of garden plants and tools. They usually don't have enough registers open. The employees seem to be able to answer your questions when asked but it's been my experience they do not go out of their way to help you. Customer service is adequate. I absolutely dislike the parking lot. Dominic's is usually parked outside to sell those yummy cheesesteaks and sausages so that's always a plus. This is a HUGE warning when using lowes for installation of any sort. My specific experience is with a fence installation. I will be attaching all the communication and message traffic from my experience as well as emails with my name and certain private information bleeped out. The context will still be there for review. I received a quote for fencing install by Paul Randall. For the original quote, it did not include the removal of old fence. He asked if we would like the old fence removed. I had provided him with my permit, which they are supposed to pull, it requires buffer yard of shrubs or trees, so I said yes. For the contract, it was an additional 1802 for the removal of the old fence. On the day of the fence install, I found that the old fence was cut and not removed, leaving metal posts in the ground. I addressed this to Lowes and Paul through an email, and they then emailed me a "detailed scope of work" that was not explained prior and / or included on the contract. I then began a 2+ month battle with Lowes installation support in regards to, why would I pay a company 1802 extra dollars to cut it and leave posts exposed when I have a 6 month old daughter? The contracts definition was not explained or provided. I am active duty military construction, and this is the worst scam. Not including the actual scope of work. I am now addressing Navy legal to help me because Lowes said it was a "miscommunication of the definiton of removal" My house isn't a landfill. I will never use Lowes again. I love Lowes, in particular I love this location. Being that I'm a new homeowner I find myself in here quite frequently and they have yet to disappoint. Their customer service is great! I've recently purchased all new appliances for the kitchen and received a great discount. Ken who works back in the appliances area is the person to see. He made sure all of the appliances would match and would be delivered in a timely manner. On top of that, this location helped with my flooring, I was able to get a great deal on my new hardwood floors. They offer military discounts, take coupons and offer rebates on paint. I purchased over $2k in fencing from this store, in person, back in early February 2023. I still have not received it after multiple attempts to have them deliver it. I called multiple times to speak with someone (they never answer the phones ) my wife spoke with customer service and set up the delivery for the fourth time. IT DID NOT COME! I then spoke with Ashley, and she assured me it would be delivered. IT DID NOT COME!! I then spoke with the Assistant Store Manager Dawn, because the Store Manager was unavailable. Dawn promised it would be delivered today (17APR2023). I got home from work and of course it was not delivered. I went back up to the store again at 630pm. Dawn said they deliver until 8pm. Hi I suppose this isn't really a review of the store. More so, this is for the woman I experienced @ the paint center. (She'll know who she is.) The moment I left I wanted to turn around and go back inside because truly I don't understand you. I left anyway because I'm doing this thing where I try not to let miserable people make me miserable too. But dear god, I am still thinking about you and I regret. I wish I had gone back inside. But also think maybe it would've been exactly as I said, not worth it. Only people who do not grow, speak to people the way you spoke to me. I just want to know why you suggested that we can get the manager, but not in at all in a way that was to get me the "help I needed." But instead in way that was cocky, and implied that "I" did something wrong. All I did, was enter the store, and ask you for help you couldn't provide. That's fine though, it happens. But why didn't you just say that? Just tell me you can't do that. I just don't understand what I did for you to speak to me the way you did. You said you don't know what I wanted you to do, I just wanted you to communicate with me like I was a person. But I suppose that's asking too much? And apparently so is asking you anything about paint. I bit my tongue so hard to remain polite because I thought maybe I was imagining it. I wish I had been. Or at least, I hope your not that ugly all the time... Mostly I just wanted to attempt to make you aware that your interactions with people have potential to affect them. I was told if you buy it i have to take it with me and they will not deliver it. He said sale items are not delivered. I was told to rent a truck but it had to go with me when i bought it. I would have paid the delivery fee but it is not offered at all. So i went else where and bought one that is being delivered to me and i bought a gas range while i was at it. So lowes would rather i spend $1800.00 else where. Lowes does not care about people or people buying big items. I will do what ever i can to not buy from them ever again. Came here to get some sanded floor grout. I needed about 30 bags for a project and I saw they had it online. Went the the aisle and it was pretty organized until I started looking for the color I needed. Found two other colors in the same pile as the color I needed and was pulling from. I get people don't always know where to put back the grout they pulled from. But the bags were nasty dirty with thinset all over them. Got my shirt dirty and hands all nasty from the other product all over the bags. One bag had a hole in it and product was coming out and spilling on the floor. Just a dirty mess. But they only had 5 bags. So I called for help (pushed the call button at the flooring desk). Several minutes later, a lady comes up (no badge, no vest, nothing to identify her as an associate) and looked as if she was working the last hour of a 48 hour shift (no smile, barely spoke, didn't acknowledge me, say hello, I mean NOTHING!). She mumbled something so I just started talking asking if she could see if there was another store nearby with more grout. She didn't even look up at me. Just scanned the bag and said there were 7 bags at another store. I asked her another question and it was like pulling teeth. So, I took my five bags and left. I've had better service from a tree! But I guess that what you get now days folks! I gave it three stars but really wanted to be stingy and give only 2 stars. But I'm throwing out the special of the day which is to be a bit nicer! But today it was like going to Home Depot, only one register open besides the self help ones, and nobody around to help load 3 40lb bags of soil. And don't try to use WiFi to locate merchandise, it doesn't work Here it is over a month later and I decided to give Lowe's one more chance at getting the WiFi working in the store. NADA. Was looking for a planer and after 15 minutes of searching a customer finally came and helped me after seeing me trying to navigate the aisles in the store scooter. Had he not come along I would have abandoned the rest of my goods, walked out and never returned. Maybe it's time to go back to the small stores and spend a bit more or shop Amazon. This location was very clean, well-lit and maintained with friendly staff conveniently wandering throughout the whole store to help guide you when needed or answer any questions. Totally appreciated the weather-controlled outdoor furniture area in this frigid cold weather we've been given this weekend. The staff at checkout was more than willing to let me go test whether or not some adirondack chairs would fit in the car before purchasing and helped give me step-by-step instructions on how to download the Lowe's app and register my military ID for the added discount with each speedy checkout. I like Lowe's. But, unfortunately, not this one. I typically run in with my fiance' to grab something that he needs. However, this time I went in to quickly grab a gift card and some organic soil that I needed to use for my garden...for planting. As far as the soil, no one knew anything! No one could help me. The young lady at the customer service area was rude and could not help me, the person who she called could not assist and seemed mentally preoccupied, and the young lady in the garden area didn't have a clue. They all seemed to look at me as if I was speaking another language other than english OR is if I was talking and nothing was coming out. They just kept calling someone else. I spent at least an hour dealing with this, So, I skipped the soil. I ended up going to another Lowe's for help...and got the correct soil. On to the gift card...grabbed a card and headed to the self check out. The older woman who was assisting everyone was in a hurry and rushing everyone because she was "supposed to clock out five minutes ago!" She began to rant about how this happens all of the time, no one responds to her or relieves her and she is tired of it. At the same time she is ignoring the customers that need assistance. Finally, I was able to complete my transaction (while listening to the drama) and I was out of there! My husband and I bought our grill from here... The assembled unit wouldn't fit in our vehicle so we had to get one in a box. The associate went to the back of the store, grabbed the unit and placed it in the back of our vehicle... When we got home- my entire truck was soaked!!! The box was leaking and dripping wet!! I was extremely upset that he would put a completely drenched box in my car. When I called back, the manager apologized and said he didn't know why he gave me that particular box.. When there were a couple that didn't have water damage. Long story short... We had to Reload our vehicle and exchange it. The manager ended up giving us 10% back.... What a hassle read more
