I was hesitant at buying paint that was more expensive then I am used to but I knew I had a difficult situation (very textured wall) and this was a major investment. I am completely thrilled with the Regal Select paint in Edgecomb Gray. The color is beautiful but the quality of the paint is apparant. I had done a similar (Lowe's) color in an adjacent bedroom where I applied a primer and 2 coats of paint. With this paint the job was done in one coat. And the texture was clearly better. Worth every penny.

Very dissappointed. Purchased this paint in Virginia Beach on Laskin Rd to paint indoor furniture…read more Turns out the paint was not good. Left brush strokes that after days would not go away. The furniture had to be redone using another paint mixture. Went online to find many bad reviews with same complaints. Why this continues to be recommended is beyond me. When i tried to return the full can of paint, giving the reasons why, there were no apologies and definitely no refunds. When asked if they could at least dispose it, the answer was no. Some customer service. Guess you have to be a professional painter with a contract here to get real service.

Okay first off, the countless images of "Ollie" hanging everywhere creep me out…read more Now that that's out of the way, allow me to begin my review. The claims of "cheap" stuff are only that.. claims. Just the condition of the store was questionable, as it seemed most stuff was just scattered around, aimlessly. There wasn't much I found to get, which was somewhat disappointing. It felt like a cross between Kmart, Rose's, Big Lots, Dollar General and your typical dingy little outlet store you see in 90s movies. The only thing I ended up with was a light blue bath towel. It's not bad, but I will admit that it's the only bath towel I own that had mystery stains on it after the first use. It's like it bleached itself. I didn't do anything different with it and it still rebelled for some reason. I'm not blaming Ollie's specifically, but it's still something to be aware of if you're in the market for one. Service wasn't bad during my visit. I would check other locations before I'd make a definite conclusion on the chain. However, in regards to this one?.. It's a "meh" at best.

With only one cashier on a Saturday, the checkout line wrapped the interior of a very busy store. It took almost an hour for me just to checkout. Additionally the one cashier was a very old woman who moved soooooo slowly (not her fault), so that's why it took so long - the wait for checkout was so long, several people gave up and went to the nearby Dollar Tree.

The third try is a charm…read more This Ace Hardware was the last place I visited in search of some accessories for my fireplace. *I'm surprised this was the only place that had the supplies that I needed.* Since I struck out at two other places, I was going to order the things online. Fortunately, this Ace location was en route to another destination, and I decided to give it one last shot. Upon entering the store, an associate immediately asked me if he could help me find something. I guess that I looked very confused while entering the store. He pointed me in the right direction to get my things. Also, he came to the area after a few minutes to see if I was found what I was looking for and to remind me that I should make sure that my chimney flue was taken care of. I guess that I was lucky to visit when I did because they had only one fireplace tool set . . . at least on display. While the prices were a bit higher compared to some of the prices that I saw online, they were not that bad. The store is a bit smaller compared to other hardware stores in the area, so it might be useful to call first to inquire if they have what you are looking for.

The choice to return an on line purchase to the store wasn't mine. It was the only return option…read morefor the item that didn't work. I thought it would be a simple stop on the way home from the bakery. Not so! My bad back had been especially awful with the weather this week. So I searched for a handicapped parking space on the parking aisles near the entrance. To my surprise there were none. What I had thought were handicapped spots were for customer pickup. The only reason I can envision this parking choice is for the convenience of their employees, not their customers. Down the aisles I drove until I finally found handicapped parking. They were on an aisle near the exit. I walked to the exit door and found it wouldn't open. There was a checkout clerk nearby who wasn't busy. So I knocked on the door.....several times. He finally came & let me in. I told him there needed to be handicapped spaces near the entrance door. No reply. Why couldn't they at least let the exit doors open from the outside? The sign for Customer Service was far, actually near the entrance door. After waiting in line, I was really struggling. And it was obvious. When my turn came the young woman clerk looked at my box as if it were an aberration. She turned to what was obviously her supervisor so I said "I have the scan for the return on my phone." I had it opened & ready for her to ask for the entire time I was in the line. While she was processing the return I told her that there should be handicapped parking near the entrance door. No response. Was I invisible? After I had my return receipt I had to walk back to the exit to get to my vehicle. The whole experience was a nightmare. I hope I never have to return an item to that store again. The value of my having to pay return shipping would be worth not having to experience pain & poor customer service.
