Because I left my house without my lock and stopped at 3 different stores before coming here. Not only do they have what you need but they are so friendly. It feels like a locally owned shop. They have ice water bottles at the door for $1. You can't get that anywhere else. They helped us with our lock so we could use it immediately. They have bikes out front for purchase and also make keys. Bike accessories and everything else you need. And they are not expensive either. I will be back to support this neighborhood store with the friendly employees. :)

We needed ice the other day for a BBQ and stopped in for a large, cheap bag of ice for like $2! Much better price and size than 7-eleven right across the street. They have some nice bikes and all the little odds and ends you might need from a hardware store. I think this might be our first stop for those items from now on!

After dropping truck off and the work started, I was later informed by the manager that I have spacers on my truck wheels and that their company policy is not to put spacers back on. We had a conversation and she assured me that the spacers were thin and probably were not needed if the breaks did not rub. "I did consent to work". Shortley after that I received a text stating that they would not be able to put the truck wheels red caliber covers back on because the spacers would need to be re-installed and again it was against their company policy to install spacers. At that point I went back up to the store and told the manager well that is one reason why the spacers were needed and if they cannot put them back on and put my red caliber covers back on, then put the original parts back on my truck and I would take it somewhere else. She refused! We went back and forth about this. She said after they install my breaks and verify no rubbing, then I can take my truck somewhere else to get my spacers and calibers put back on. I asked her what if things rub, she told me that then I can get it towed to the dealership! I ended up picking my truck up 2 days later and took it directly to Rick Hrendricks dealership. Hendricks charged me for putting spacers and calibers back on. Not only was that an issue, also in the timeline of this Big Als manager told me that they checked my alternator and battery and both are reading less than half of the recommended voltage. She quoted me on a starting system test which I agreed to but later declined due to me having zero trust in this shop manager. Rick Hendricks dealership also performed a staring test and found absolutely no problems, all voltages tested good on battery and alternator. I question the ethics, integrity, and competence of management at Big Als auto shop located Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach Virginia.

He basically crossed out the $500 I had left to pay and literally scribbled it out and wrote $1500 like I hadn't been paying his ass over the past six months!! And the funny part is he quoted me $1400 to machine both blocks and assemble one of them and I built the other engine on my own!!! Now I don't know where you're from but it doesn't cost $1500 to machine a block especially when you only charged $400 for the one I built myself!!! Lol then tried to lie and say I bought parts from them! What parts do you require to machine a block? Especially when I have my receipts that show all my parts were bought from eBay and I have the receipts!!! Kirk the manager is a liar and a thief he tried to drive the price up so ridiculously that he knew that I would pull my engine!!! He never even started putting my engine together!! And told me "I really don't even wanna build your motor now" and I'd been nothing but nice to this guy!!! If you don't wanna get ripped off like a number of people I've spoken with, this is what they do! But I went up there with my Attorney wife and we recorded the entire ordeal and he's such a bad liar he didn't even realize that he told on himself!!! Just basically stole my money!!! There are far better machine shops in the 757 to do better work. Trust me, magnum machine shop is a den of theirs!!!

This is maybe my second visit here within about a four-year span but however every time I visit the…read moreguys here are a super friendly and on point. However, I do call ahead of time to make sure that the parts are available and the two times that I visited here everything has been available and ready for pick up at the front desk. I actually have a mechanic that I work and he has a reputable reputation with the company as well so everything works out perfectly... availability and deals! The store is a little hard to spot from the road but if you have any GPS system it should guide you spot on! I used my Google Maps without worry. The shop is kind of small however they do have a few shelves of items that you can browse around to see if it's anything else that you need for your vehicle but they mainly specialize in imported cars. And store is pretty much for stocking items and not so much on the main floor. The building does appear larger from outside. No sugar coating here... they're definitely straight and to the point with you. A great group of guys. Parking is alongside the store on the street or there is parking directly behind the building. Be careful heading back on the main street... super busy area of Norfolk. They usually close at 6 during the week and a little earlier on Saturday...call ahead to verify. Oh and if you visit before I do be sure to check in and ask if their check-in offer is valid. Savings await - possibly! Have fun | enjoy life
