I have no idea what's happened to customer service. I ordered a pallet of black mulch which I needed for Saturday for The Big Event, the largest student service in the nation. I'm talking about the Bryan Lowe's. Not the College Station Loews. Those people are great. I paid for the mulch, paid to have it delivered which they said would be delivered between 8 am and noon. The delivery didn't show up so now, at 1:45 pm I'm purchasing mulch at Home Depot. People, do what you promised. It's not difficult. read more

Cashiers are very rude at the Bryan Lowes location. Refused to give me my Veteran Discount and I had to make another trip to customer service for a refund of what the discount was. Refused to help me get a large order loaded in my truck. " Said I needed to just do it myself. Note: I have had multiple surgeries and needed assistance. A different cashier at the self checkout berated me for needing help verifying my veteran status to complete my purchase. She made a big scene about how i can't figure stuff out on my own. I had to tell her to get away from me as she kept coming back to try to instigate an argument. I usually spend a great deal of my paychecks at Lowes as I am building a new house. This experience has turned me into a Home Depot man for sure. I will never patronage this store again or possibly any other Lowes Stores. I am passing this experience to all of my family and friends. read more

On Black Friday and they only had self checkout open. A lady was helping me and said I need to go get the SKU for some nails to check out and left me to help someone who couldn't get a pack of gum to scan. The lack of customer service at this store is unbelievable. Do better!!! read more

Wish I could give a zero, but I can't. Their website stinks really bad. You go into your account, and you get stuck in a loop. They send you a passcode that is only good for 10 minutes. However, it takes 30 minutes to get the passcode. You try to use the passcode and the account locks up. You change your password, and it does the same thing. I went up to the strore. The lady at the front counter was wonderful. Talked to the manager, and he just stares at you and just nods his head as you talk. Lowe's website has been like this for months and nobody seems to care. Really bad business. read more

Unpleasant experience. My boyfriend found a chainsaw on the shelf without the plastic bar and chain cover on it. We found a second one that did have the cover, but I suggested we bring the first one back up to the front 1. Just in case we could get a slight discount on that one due to missing pieces and 2. Not having a cover could potentially cut a child or customer's hands. After explaning what we found and asking about the discount or to at least report the hazard, we were cut off by one of the two employees at self checkout saying they dont do discounts. They repeatedly asked us if we needed two, then asked us if we wanted the one with the cover or without, then tried taking away the one with the cover, and then they said they were going to put the uncovered one back on the shelf. I am fine not getting the discount, but everything about that encounter showed they didnt hear a word we said. It came off as being incredible rude and apathetic towards a safety concern while completely blowing us off. After they took the other chainsaw away, the other employee stood over us while we scanned items. We were scanning and putting them back in the cart to not waste a bag. She took them all out of the cart and put them in a bag, pressed through the rest of the buttons, and then pressured the hell out of us over the warrantee without explaining anything about it. She seemed so terribly annoyed. We had 4 items. Not like it was a theft hazard either. She stared at the items while we scanned them. I just have no idea why they would act so rude and pressure us so much over scanning. Let us talk over the warranty stuff without the pressure. Ugh. Just very very annoyed read more

The painting department was awesome. Matched paint really well however I tried to get $10 cash back after over $300 in paint purchase which I was told I could do at one of the machines and I was not able. Was passed to another 2 ppl who said I needed to go to customer service and was basically told I had to purchase something but initially it was the instruction of one of their reps that led me to needing to "purchase" something again that led to the problem. Then the owner or head manager Kenneth came up with the same helpless advice that I'd need to purchase something... and I had purchased $300 of paint. Absolutely NO ACCOUNTABILITY for "lost in transit" orders. Order updates just quit coming. When I called, they only offered a refund. A reputable, customer service driven company would (at least) make good on their promise and re-order/deliver the product. To sit in silence when the order is several days late is un-acceptable. Lots of people working, but few of them doing anything other than standing around shooting the breeze. Consistently a lack of cashiers and when you bring bulk items up they spend 10 minutes looking through a book trying to figure it out and generally get it wrong anyway. I asked the head cashier why they didn't have more help upfront when there was only one line open and 6-7 people waiting. All I got was an attitude. Can't find lumber carts because they are all being used by employees to move displays. read more

I purchased a washer & dryer pair as well as refrigerator from this store, and the whole experience was pretty terrible. The W&D arrived on time, but when they came to deliver it, they told me that they actually didn't have the dryer in stock and I would have to accept the floor model, which had been loaded on the truck without telling me. After navigating that situation and agreeing to accept the dryer with a $100 discount as the floor model, they rolled in the dryer and I was the only one who noticed that it was an entirely different BRAND from the dryer I had ordered. They took it back to the store and suddenly "found" my correct, brand new dryer. They brought it out and installed it and were very nice, but the whole situation was a mess. Despite ordering the refrigerator in early July, they waited until August to tell me that it was back ordered and they actually didn't anticipate getting it by the back order date. So, they helped me pick out a new fridge that could be delivered more quickly, and I paid a lot more for it. Every week it was supposed to be delivered, nobody called me to update me. I would have to call in and have them look up my order, and they would just tell me it would be awhile longer with no concrete estimate of a delivery date. Every time you call this store you will be bounced around and on hold for a minimum of 10 minutes. Nobody answers the phone, and when they do, they are often rude and rarely helpful. Finally this week (September), I called in and asked about the fridge. They then insisted they couldn't locate my order based on my name, phone number, or the receipt I provided. The woman who spoke with me on the phone transferred me, eventually hung up on me, and was pretty dismissive of my concerns. I had to go to the store in person, and they just told me "it never came in, so we re-ordered it, but didn't link it to your phone number or account". They made no effort to fix anything, and I just asked for a refund. Still waiting for the refund to process, but overall I was really stressed out by the lack of communication and customer service. And I still don't have a refrigerator, but I guess I'll go get one from somewhere else that won't lose my order. read more

We spent around $15,000 for replacement windows. The windows were installed over a month later than when they were promised. 3 windows were made incorrectly and several screens had slits/punctures from mishandling. It has now been over 6 months and Lowe's still has not corrected the problem. I call every month and spend at least 30 minutes on the phone only to be told some excuse, changes every time. I had read some bad reviews that stated these same issues with Lowes window installation. I asked the salesman, John, about them and he assured me that I would not have a bad experience. No one at the local store in CS, TX will take responsibility for getting corrected windows/screens. DO NOT buy windows from Lowe's. read more

Walked in had what I needed pulled up on the lowes app when we couldn't find what we were looking for asked multiple associates said they didn't know where it was then when they thought they figured out where it was they then stood around arguing about wether that was it or not and waited 45 min and didn't even get what we cane for that was "available" on the app in that location! read more

I purchased John deer zero turn mower on Saturday. It was delivered on 8/31/2022. they unloaded the mower and pushed it into the back yard. I came home to mow and fine the key was left on and the battery was dead . i jumped the battery and when I pulled the jumper cables off the tractor died. I call the store and ask for the store manager i was put on hold and later disconnected. i called again finally got to talk to the manager and explained my problem . He returned to the phone and explained he would have someone out on 8/7/2022. I explained that was unacceptable and reply that was all he would do . I just spent 3300.00 and i was told that was all he would do. That manager need to fired. the conversation went down hill from there. if I do no receive a replay tomorrow 09/01/2022. I purchased a washer (4/5) & dryer (3/31) during the same because I didn't want to miss out on the deal they were having knowing that my washer would not be delivered until middle of May Dryer was delivered on time, however, the gentleman who delivered it said he couldn't install even though I was informed that this is what they do. Plus he didn't switch my door to where it opens on the right side instead of the left side. Middle of May came around & I hadn't heard from Lowes, but found out that on May 21st, they tried to deliver my washer. I had not received a notice of any type stating it was in & they planned to deliver it. I was in San Antonio from May 20-24. My brother called to inform me they had called him to state they tried to deliver it. From that point on, it was HELL trying to get it rescheduled. Every time the delivery dept called, I was at work. So, they left a message. The first couple of times I tried calling after 5p.m, I would get transferred to the delivery dept. After the 3rd time calling, I was informed that the delivery dept closes at 3 p.m. I called numerous times to speak to a manager. One time, I was on hold for over 20 mins for someone to pick up & that was not including the 2x I call that day prior to the 20 mins. When I finally called & told them I had been holding for over 20 mins for manager, the gentleman who picked up apologized & said he didn't realize he was the only manager on duty. The delivery dept tried to schedule my delivery on Friday (5/27) without reaching out to me. I had to inform them that I would NOT be in town that day. We agreed to have the washer delivered on 5/28 (MY birthday). I stayed home up until 2 p.m. when my daughter told me she wanted to take me somewhere. I informed her that I was waiting on the delivery & asked how long it would take. Luckily for me it was down the street. I made it back home (w/ no delivery notification) around 7 p.m. I called Lowe's to find out about my delivery because they stop delivering at 8 p.m. I was told someone else had called & that the 3rd party delivery service was running behind, but they would still deliver. About 30 mins before store closed, I called again to find out the status of my washer. Manager said he didn't know because nobody was answering, but the delivery dept would call to reschedule even though that dept is not open on Sunday, nor would they be delivering on Monday (holiday). Sunday, I surprisingly received a call from the delivery dept which the representative was not nice at all. When I tried to relay my frustration, she kept cutting me off. She informed me they could deliver on Tuesday (5/31), then sarcastically said or Thursday or Friday. I told her since I wanted my washer, then schedule the delivery on Tuesday. I gave up working on Tuesday night to make sure I was home for the delivery. Surprise, surprise, at 6:37 p.m., I received a voice recording stating that my washer would be delivered on Wednesday between 2-6 p.m. Mind you, I would 8-5, then sometimes work in the evening. Wednesday happened to be one of those days. I called Lowe's upset & this was the day I was on hold for over 20 mins. The manager told me he would get it scheduled for Thursday (6/2) whether by their 3rd party delivery service or one of their associates & let the delivery dept know about this even though he wasn't on shift Wed morning. Guess what? Thursday comes around & no washer. I called Lowes at 7:33 p.m., talked to the manager on duty & he said he would call the delivery service to get me an update & would call me back. Never received a call back. I called back again at 8:29 p.m., manager said he couldn't find my order under my name or number. I gave him all the info & he said he would call back; never did. I called back at 8:58, then at 9:03 just to realize they were closed for the day. Today, while I'm at work, my brother calls to inform me that he received a call stating they were delivering my washer within 30 mins. Didn't even know it was being delivered. Luckily, my daughter will be home & would allow them into the garage. It took a total of 14 days from the initial delivery until now to hopefully get my washer, but no communication from anyone. Did they even offer any type of compensation for all my lost time & patience, not a thing. I use to enjoy shopping at Lowes for all my home & landscaping needs, but when it comes to big appliances, I think I will go to Home Depot I try my luck w/ them. When it comes to delivery, Lowes is not the way to go. read more

Just tried to purchase a refrigerator on the discount row with a scratch and dent. Was marked down half price from original. Would not hold, would not deliver, would not sell a Lowes extended warranty , would not let me purchase unless I can physically take it out of the store and on a my truck which I don't have. The sales person was very nice and he was only doing what his manager was telling he could and couldn't do. I don't se to be an employee of Lowes , in fact I was a manager when Lowes opened the store in Bryan. I still shop Lowes but after this I am considering shopping other building supply stores. This is not the customer service that I use do when there. The refrigerator was selling for $2k. They lost the sale which I know for a fact how much the store makes so I know this is nothing for them. But word of mouth is more costly!! read more

I understand manufacturers delay, but Lowes has never called, never updated online, when I called they literally hung up on me saying "it's not our fault, I'm sure you've been told about the delay." My fiancé and I had a great experience at Lowe's. We are moving into our first house and we're looking for a fridge. After a lot of indecision, and help from customer service rep, Walter, we found our new fridge! However, reviews online made us nervous about the noisy ice maker, so we found a back up. After speaking with a manager, Robbie, we were told they would deliver our preferred fridge, but honor the discounted rate of the other fridge 30 days after we tried out our new one, to make sure we got the perfect fridge! Lowe's is a high priced place to shop. They guarantee last minute notifications on delayed delivery. I took today off so that I could be available for the 12 hour window to take delivery of refrigerator that was ordered two weeks ago. As of this moment delivery had been delayed to February 2, 2019. ***Update*** We are cancelling the order b/c they have one in stock and will allegedly be delivered this Saturday. read more

Rented a carpet cleaner to clean a stain on our carpet. I made sure to empty both tanks and clean prior to returning. The Indian lady at the counter insisted I pay a $20 cleaning fee due to a small piece of carpet she found. I insisted it was clean, and she told me I could go take it outside to remove the piece of carpet myself, and incur a $30 late fee, or have her do it, and pay $20. Seriously? That's ridiculous, and you're expecting way too much from your customers if you require them to polish and wax equipment prior to returning. This type of shady behavior is what hurts your business. Called the store for help three times was transferred multiple times to the wrong department I guess was transferred to the correct department but they never officially picked up the call... they picked up only to put me back on hold without saying a word. Call 1-800 number to ask a question about purchasing mulch online, paying and going to the side yard to pick-up. Told I could. Never got an order received, ready, nothing notification, and decided to call the store. "Oh, you'll get an email in 10-15 minutes...that person is a lunch and we've been busy. An hour later, still nothing, so I went to the store. Arrived and the person I needed was, you guessed it, on lunch break. Long story short, every time I have a question or need assistance, "that person" is always on lunch break at this store. Must be company standard response for covering up someone' being AWOL. Customer service finally did help get my order going so I did not have to return. Disappointed that customer service is not a priority anymore. United Plumbing was assigned to me by Lowe's in Bryan to complete a hot water heater install. The confusion started right away. The Lowes install number told me that someone needed to measure my area beforehand so theyll know what type of water heater. I made arrangements to take off work and called Lowe's right back. The person that answered this time told me that I needed to pay for the water heater before they'll schedule someone to come out. I told her that was different from what I was told but she was sure that she was correct. I leave work and go to Lowe's to pay and was told there was no way for me to pay because without the measurements that didn't know what to charge me. Im back to scheduling someone to come out. Mind you , Lowes has a $50 rebate that clock id ticking because everytime I get off the phone I get further back in line for a consult so I cant pay and get the rebate. The day after my consult I called to pay because it's now the 1 or 2 days left for the rebate. They still didn't have my measurements Even though the installer said he was sending it the same day. When my measurements had come in they had me down for a gas water heater an accessories. My hot water heater is electric. Lowe's kept asking if I was sure because there is gas in my house. I told them that I know my home has gas but he knew damn well that water heater was plugged in to an outlet. This explained why the installer kept asking me about a co2 detector. I digress. Lowe's put me on hold for 25 minutes. This was long enough for me to tell my boss I had to go to Lowe's and pull into the Lowe's parking lot while still on hold. Eventually I paid for the water heater. My hot water heater works. It doesn't stay hot long but its good for short showers. I probably just need to adjust the settings. Lowe's called everyday twice a day for a week. They wanted to know how the install went? I told Helen it was fine. Then someone named Barbara started leaving messages asking the same thing. At this time, I thought I'd be a fool not to go thoroughly check this heater and make sure it could be adjusted. That's when I saw this gadget they had rigged up. The install itself was sloppy. They cut a hole in the drywall to redo the piping and then instead of making the drywall flush to the wall and spackling, they screwed the piece that cut out. Now I have a little door in the wall held by silver screws. I don't know if you can purchase a water heater with right or left connection but this water heater openings were on the opposite side so they connected a pvc pipe across the front of the water heater. There's purple stuff dripping down the wall that they didn't attempt to clean up and some kind of black sealant in the old holes. This was 1 week after Thanksgiving. Someone from United Plumbing came out to inspect the damage 2 weeks ago and I haven't heard from them since. Lowe's was calling before Christmas but it was doing work hours so it's been phone tag. Besides that they wanted to send different people from their team to my house meaning I needed to take off again. Mind you they couldn't fix anything they just wanted me to take off so Barbara could see it person. I email Lowe's every other day and haven't received a response from the assistant store manager that I was working with yet. Barbara did tell me the water heater has to be removed in order to fix the drywall. I'm back to square one. I have had a hard time finding professionals to install a hot water heater on short notice so my advice to you is to skip the Lowes and Home Depot contractors and find a plumber you use or trust. Hopefully I will hear from someone this month. read more

I placed an online order for a washer and dryer on Tuesday August 16th. I paid someone to go pick up the order for me because they could not deliver it to me in a timely window frame. The person I paid made sure the washer and dryer had my name on it let them load it and brought it to me. They loaded an LG washer instead of the Whirlpool washer I ordered. I called the store told them I don't have a truck I was in need of the washer and dryer quickly so I paid some one to pick it up. The girl at customer service scheduled a pick up of the wrong washer and delivery of the correct washer for Saturday August 20th. I was upset but understood mistakes happen. I wait ALL day and at 4:30pm the driver called me me and told me she was on her way to pick up the wrong washer. I asked her where my washer is and she told me they only sent her on a pick up and she would call the store and call me back. 30 mins goes by and I have heard nothing from her so I call the store. I got the manager on the phone explained the situation of how I was told that my washer was going to be delivered when they picked up the wrong one. He told me that I am scheduled for Tuesday August 23rd for delivery of my washer. He told me that they had only scheduled a pick up for Saturday. I proceeded to tell him that this is not my mistake it is his employees mistake and that he needed to fix it. He told me "THATS NOT MY PROBLEM!" I then proceeded to lose my cool at this point. He hung up on me. I have been on hold with corporate Lowes for 34 mins now trying to make a complaint against the store. I will be shopping at Home Depot for now on!!!! read more

He gave me a mask and let me grab my order even though they were 30 minutes from close (I understand, I hate when people do what I just did and now I'm one of those people). I went to grab it and the dolly I was buying had been moved but not updated in their system. Another associate took time out of his schedule and walked around and found it. After Hurricane Harvey, my appliance shipment from Home Depot were delayed due to the warehouses being located in Houston. I frantically went to Lowes at which Robbie in appliances honestly and patiently answered my questions and assisted me. Due to having the items in house, they were able to deliver the items within a couple days. Furthermore, there was one item not instock but available at the nearby College Station Lowes. Robbie went the extra mile by having his Lowe's team pick up the item from the other location (not typically performed). Thank you Robbie and Lowe's team for your assistance! read more

Inventory is great, but this review is about the outstanding staff. Staff in every department all possess knowledge of their field and are happy to share it. When I purchased a new door and frame, the young man gave me clear verbal instructions and offered some helpful tips, one of which avoided a good bit of frustration. In plumbing, the Lowe's staffer offered assistance without my asking, and when I described my problem, he found a part to better solve my problem. I ordered a window AC unit for pickup. The cheerful young woman in customer service (Ms. T) walked the length of the store to fetch a flatbed when I asked if any were available. (I would have been happy to be directed to where they were. Over and above.) A moment later, a janitor (Mr. J.), of his own initiative, politely jumped in and loaded the unit in my car. The woman working in tools found me the exact drill bit I needed for a specific problem. Paint has also been a good source of knowledge. Often DIY customers don't know the name of part, but Lowe's staff seem expert at deciphering the problem and finding the right solution. Every interaction with a Lowe's employee could have been filmed for a Lowe's video advertisement. The Lowe's website seems to have lost the option of commending employees. I would recommend that functionality be returned. read more

Went to Lowes in Bryan to purchase a new stove (double oven). The appliance man said they did not carry them and that I would have to order one. He looked on line and said they only carried one stove. It just happened to be the one that cost $2,700. I had just looked on line before I went to the store and there were some starting at just over $1,000 on sale. I told him but he still said it was there only one. Another man walked and asked him a question and he was rude as hell to him. Just gave him no real answer, just kind of smarted off to him. Guess where I did not buy a stove? Welcome to Lowes.
