They had the part I needed, but they knew they were the only ones in town that carried it, so they priced it three times more than you can get the same part online for. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. We had a power outage recently, and the resulting surge when it was restored damaged our clothes dryer. My wife and I went to Buddy's. The sales person who directed us to parts and service was nice. The niceness ended there. We went back to the service area. Three women were working. I talked with the one sitting at the desk who seemed to be in charge and explained the problem to her. They all seemed a bit ticked that I interrupted the conversation they were having. They asked if I bought the dryer there. I said no. They said that they could not send someone to our place because 25 miles was too far to travel. They told me I could bring it in for a $75 service fee. As soon as I said I didn't buy it there, the attitude shifted I felt like I wasn't good enough for them because I didn't buy from them, even though I was willing to pay for repairs. Then, they asked me what type of dryer it was. When I said LG, I kinda got a sigh and a sneer, and was told that they don't work on LG appliances. It now become very obvious that I was bothering them, wasn't good enough for them, and that we were no longer wanted. Had I been looking for any other new appliances, I definitely wouldn't have looked there. I won't go back. I don't recommend this business to anyone. It seems as if your business is not wanted if you didn't buy your appliance from them, or if you're not planning on buying a new one from them. read more

Jerry was great to help me find the best refrigerator for our home. Justin & David got my old refrigerator out & my new refrigerator in and running quickly! This is our 3 appliance we've bought from Buddys Applaince's since we moved here. A great company! read more

Their delivery and service is top notch. Wonderful local business that truly delivers high quality EVERY TIME. Thank you!!!

my refrigerator went out I called Buddy's. A repairman was there within 2 hours and was able to fix it He had the needed parts in his van and had it going in less than 30 minutes. second time they have saved me will always call them in the future read more

horrible customer service. always trying to find a way out of warranty work. was told to call someone else at our own expense since they were not able to come out and check the refrigerator that we purchased from them approx. 7 months ago that is not making ice and not functioning properly. when asked if they had a social media page I was asked "what does that have to do with anything." read more

We just moved to College Station and needed a new fridge and w/d. We walked in on a Wednesday, got a discount for the three pieces, and they worked in delivery on Friday just when we needed it. Chase did the delivery and setup and was great! We highly recommend! read more

I have been a long time customer of Buddy's for years. When I arrived today, I found out my favorite salesman had retired after 32 years! A very polite and professional lady named Kaitlyn stepped right up to help me. She was very knowledgeable and helpful and found my preferred set of kitchen appliances within a short amount of time. I had heard all the stories of the nation wide shortages and needed these for my daughter's remodel. Kaitlyn researched all the options to work in our time frame and communicated perfectly the various options and color choices, etc. I was shocked when she told me she had only been there four months. She did a fantastic job for me! I know I will be in good shape with Buddy's, as they are stellar at service and repairs. They have never let me down! Shop local every chance you get!! read more

Called for service. I TRIED to explain to girl who answered, that a previous service person had come out to look at our kitchen aid refrigerator. However, before she would let me explain to her that I only had them take off the housing, and that the refrigerator was running in intermittent stages with a certain beep notifications. I didn't even get a chance to tell her that the other service person didn't do anything to the refrigerator. And that the KitchenAid website said that it would be most likely one of two electronica boards. NOPE! She stopped me dead in my tracks and said that we don't follow up after other service people, period. Question: Have business gotten so well to do, that they can piss off as many customers (potential customers) as they do? Under the guise of the rule of large numbers, there's always another one waiting right behind us? Yeah, Sears used to think that way. Will not do business with Buddy appliances. I would MUCH RATHER drive down to Houston and pick up a new $11,000 KitchenAid refrigerator. I really had no idea that Buddy's appliance is was that rich! read more

Did not seem to be interested in making a sale. They had a shipment come in on Wednesday, so giving them a second chance called to see if what I wanted was in.... Bought my washer & dryer elsewhere! read more

Our freezer went out and we needed a new one quick. I was skeptical of Buddy's because of previous reviews but we were desperate and the big box stores in town were not going to deliver an in stock item for 5 days. Buddy's had what we needed in stock and at a great value. We were able to get free install and I opted for same day delivery ($25 fee) because we were about to lose everything in our fridge/freezer. I feel like we got a great deal and though it was a busy delivery day they worked us in because of our desperate need. I will defiantly call on Buddy's the next time we need an appliance or appliance serviced. read more

Call to get a price on a bake element for an oven $50 and change was there price thought it was a little steep found the same park at Sears for Less then half the price there is a shipping charge through Sears of $6 cannot believe Buddy's Appliance was charged twice of what you can find it in other places would not recommend them to anyone read more

Bubba just came out to look at our washer and dryer. Very nice guy and very knowledgeable. Fixed the washer and also partially cleaned out the dryer vent (that was fun to watch). Would definitely recommend this company. read more

As a longtime customer of Buddy's Appliance, I have purchased all my major appliances from Buddy's and depended on them to service what they sold. Throughout almost 50 years I have dealt with various sales and service representatives, including Buddy himself as well as other family members. Not once did they respond in a disrespectful manner when I called with what I considered to be a problem. After expressing a concern, sometimes in a less than respectful way, I learned from experience that someone would be at my house almost immediately or at least certainly in an acceptable time frame. For this locally and family owned business, I am very appreciative and grateful for their patience, explanations, recommendations for which products would best meet my needs and just overall friendliness - rare traits in this day and age. Company cancelled service repair appointment, employee stated she "found humor" that I was "rejected". Explained to her that myself, my parents and my late mother-in-law were long time repair/retail customers. She did not care, and referred me to take up my complaint with the owner's son Bubba. read more

Have purchased a dishwasher, a set of washer and dryers, and a gas range from Buddy's basically because of their service. The knowledge by the staff is extremely helpful as apposed to the big box stores where you never get the same answer twice. We have had service issues (yes with Brand New appliances) which is annoying but the service guys came out and got everything lined out and repaired for us in a speedy fashion. I will go back and buy again because of their service. read more

We went to Buddies in May to talk about getting appliances for a Closing on a house in July. Charlie gave us a quote on Refrigerator. GE Profile 25.4 cf. and maytag front load washer and dryer. the quote was the same price as home depot. We were able to order the appliance and did not have to pay for it until it was delivered. When it was delivered the cost of all the appliances was actually cheaper than the price on the quote that I had received in May. They delivered it to us and set it up. They were extremely nice and showed my a trick in keeping my stainless steel appliances smudge proof. I was real impressed. Can't say enough about these people. Also they have a good reputation. Style Craft Builders buys there appliances from Buddies. read more

Have a four year old dish washer. The gasket had become loose and was leaking. Called and ordered a new gasket. Darrel showed up and immediately said the problem was the top of the Washer was bowed. I should have gotten the Manuel out and showed him the picture looks just like the washer. He installed the gasket and ran a rinse cycle to check for leaks. After he was gone I realized the water was turned off to the dish washer. Of course it didn't leak! At$120.00 labor to replace a $22 gasket seemed a little high. If a tech had come out to tell me I needed the gasket, that would have been a another service charge. I should have read the reviews before calling. I learned my lesson. read more

The sales staff is great. Everyone else not so much. The lady at the desk seems to get mad if you interrupt her texting. The ones in charge don't seem to care about making a sale. I have done business with them in the past, and gotten really good service. read more

I do not recommend this place to anybody. This place has a horrible horrible costumer service. If I could give them zero start I would. My stove has been down since December 2011. I went to this place so they can help me buy the correct part but the manager for part seems not know about this so she sold me one part wrong, anyway I have to make a second trip and I talk with manager for parts and she was very rude with an attitude towards me and they let me stand there waiting for her for about 25 to 35 minutes. If I knew this before I went to this store I would never had came to this store. It was a NIGHTMARE!!!! read more

I was in the market for a new fridge. I knew the style I wanted but didn't really care much about the brand as long as it was a trusted name brand! I did price comparison at Lowes, Sears, and Home Depot then headed to Buddy's Appliance armed with the best prices from the stores listed above hoping to shop local. When I entered the store I was "greeted" by two women, one of which was sobbing at her desk and continued to sob the entire 10 minutes I was in the store. Believe me I understand wanting to cry at work but please go the bathroom, go home, crawl under your desk but don't sit at your desk making customers uncomfortable. It may seem like I'm a bitch which is a probably a valid point but I have made a career in the sales, hospitality and customer service industry and nothing pisses me off more than poor customer service. The reason I go to mom and pop shops is for excellent customer service. So, I wonder around the store looking a refrigerators for a couple of minutes before approaching the non crier up front. I tell her this is what I want (a stainless steel refrigerator with french doors for $2500 or less) and can she help me? Apparently, this was difficult for her to understand she kept asking me what brand I wanted. To which I respond repeatedly I don't have a preference on brand as long as it fits the other criteria. Finally, the conversation ended with her telling she couldn't help unless I knew what brand I wanted and me telling her I'd go make a purchase else where so she could get back to her crying friend. I went to Lowe's, purchased a Kenmore in under 15 minutes and got free delivery. I like to shop local, even if I spend a little bit more money, but I will not support bad customer service. read more

My daughter is a college student and when we called Buddy's last year when she had a problem with her washer leaking. It ended up being a cracked piece and they fixed it the next day. This week she had another leaking issue so I called them back out. According to the repairman there was no washer problem just a drain hose that had popped out of the outlet behind the washer. I was apalled that I was not only charged the service call fee of $74 but also a $35 labor charge for him putting the hose back in the outlet and putting a piece of tape to secure it. I spoke with the manager but she was unwilling to remove the addiitonal $35 labor charge. I will never use them again and would recommend finding someone else in the area. Just a way to take advantage of college students who don't have parents in the area to check such things out. Thanks Buddy but no thanks. read more

Went in to Buddys...with the part I needed...they charged me 104.00 , almost double the price that I later found on Appliancezone.com . 55.00 dollars It's ok to make a profit ...but that's gouging. Never buy from Buddy's again. read more

Better hope you don't depend on them for warranty work. The Whirlpool Extended Warranty Service supposedly had an appointment scheduled for us. I kept calling Buddy's to confirm and was told their "warranty person" was out and no one else could help us. When I finally got her, she said they had rejected the call and we had to start all over again with Whirlpool. She was not friendly or helpful or even sympathetic. I give Buddy's a big thumbs down! read more

Customer service sucks: I was trying to get my brand new whirpool dryer serviced by these guys and all I got was the run-around. I called Whirpool to set up the service and then called Buddy's to confirm service date. They told me that they had to reject Whirpool's service order because it wasn't filled out properly. So I asked them to contact Whirpool & get it straightened out & call me back to let me know when they would be out. They informed me that they couldn't straighten it out with Whirpool because Whirpool didn't allow that - I would have to call Whirlpool again to get the problem solved. SO I called Whirpool again to get the service order corrected & re-sent to Buddy's and found out that Buddy's could have set it up for me (they obviously don't value their customer's time as much as they value their own). I then called Buddy's back with the new service order information to again confirm the dates only to be told that they rejected Whirpools order again because they are not providing service in my area (I'm in Normangee - about 30 miles from Bryan). They could have at least told me this the 1st time the service order came through. I wouldn't let these people mow my lawn - let alone work on my appliances. read more

We purchased a refrigerator, gas range and dishwasher on Memorial Day weekend from Buddy's. They gave us a good deal because we took three appliances and it was tax free weekend for energy saving appliances, which two items qualified. They stored them until October (when our house renovation was completed) and delivered them to Huntsville. All was well, or so we thought. The gas range burners worked great. We fired up the oven last Saturday night (11/15) and smoked up the entire house to the point the smoke detectors went off. Called Buddy's service on Monday. Took all of our info and said Buddy himself would run the service. By Wed., we hadn't heard anything. I called our sales rep, and got another sales rep. She took all my info and sent me to repair. Snippy Snotty Joyce told me she didn't have any clue when Buddy would come to Huntsville to look at my stove. And further, I WAS TO CALL SERVICE NOT SALES!!!! She informed me they were two weeks out on service and people were 2 1/2 weeks out waiting for repairs in-town. Mind you, Thanksgiving is now one week away (today is 11/19). We have a friend who also happens to do appliance repair. He came right out and $70 later, the oven is adjusted to where it should be. This absolutely should have been a warranty fix. I would have never purchased from Buddy's in the first place had I known this was their mode of operation. I wonder if they don't drag their feet on repairs in order to force people to come and buy new appliances? I purposely don't buy appliances from box stores because I want service and repair. I wish I had found the other reviews on this site before I went there. In short, we will never darken their door step again. read more

This place has terrible customer service and sells products that are no good. We have bought man items from Buddy's and all of them have had issues!! We bought a washer that turned out to be some sort of water saving type. It does not clean the clothes. The repair guy with them even said it is a bad washer. And we bought a dryer at same time. I kept getting shocked from it, turns out the wires were in wrong and not grounded. We also bought a stove, first one was damaged, and they replaced it. However the oven light stopped working within a week. But one of the bottom lines is the handle on the dryer broke. It is very flimsy and really should not be on a dryer considering the amount of pressure and use you put on a handle. Anyway my husband went to get a new one. They said it ran out of warranty a month ago! So we had to buy a handle for 37.50. All the stuff we bought from them and they could not even give us a new handle. I will never, ever, buy anything from them. They lie and have no concept of how to treat people. I am going to post as much as I can about how bad they are. Stay away from this place unless you want bad products and bad customer service!!! read more
