Fitness center 7/10 - who keeps the fitness center at 77 degrees??? Secured 10/10. Super small. Great hospitality with bottle water provided. Would be better to keep them cold like a small fridge. One good thing is that it's next to Snooze (breakfast / brunch place)! Lobby & cafe opened all the time. Just pay for purchases at front desk when closed. Bad hotel room coffee! Do not drink! It must have been old! Love the clothing steamer provided in the room! Several hangers and options to get clothes dry cleaned. Parking is tight. Need arrows in parking lot. The value at Ollie's is great. We didn't have a ton of time to shop but we nabbed an A&M garden flag for $6.99 and a big bag of Brownie Brittle for $5.99. (Now I will note that we have been "burned" by food at Ollie's in the past -not this particular location- when we bought some mint patties which were infested with bugs. So yes we are "nervous" buying food here but I think that if they are well packaged, that shouldn't normally be a problem.) Now for the service. Wow. Aimee was our cashier and was FABULOUS. She was so friendly and helpful. She got us signed up for Ollie's rewards and explained everything so thoroughly. I honestly don't know why we didn't sign up before. It's not like we shop here much but the points don't expire so we should have done it sooner. Thankfully this wonderful employee was able to get us signed up. Wasn't expecting such great service here. Outstanding.

I was pleasantly surprised at the hotel and I really appreciated that they have set quiet hours that are enforced. The quiet hours policy that they share with all guests at checkin gave me confidence that I'd get a good night sleep at the hotel. The room I booked reminded me of a brand new condo unit as it was relatively clean and smelled and looked rather new. The fixtures were nice in the full kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. I was placed on the first floor and I typically detest first floor walk up types of rooms for safety reasons but I honestly felt safe in this hotel. There is a small scaled gym that guests can use and free coffee and tea in the lobby area. The hotel is not too far from Texas A&M and close to restaurants and gas stations. Each room has an ironing board and iron and hair dryer. And my room had a living/dining area, full kitchen, two (2) televisions, and a full bathroom. The only thing I wasn't too fond of was there not being a night desk person. However, they give guest a number to call in the night if there are issues or if there is a noise complaint.

The bed was fairly comfortable. I wish the blanket had been a little thicker. It was warm in my room when I first entered but it cooled down quickly. There was breakfast in the morning. I think that was the best part of our stay. There was plenty of coffee. Someone made sure everything was restocked regularly. There was juice, milk, and water in pitchers. The eggs, sausage and potatoes were decent as far as hotel breakfasts go. The potatoes were nice and salty. After a night of beverages, they hit the spot. I had fresh fruit with my breakfast which went well the yogurt and granola they offered. There were hard boiled eggs too. I saw cereal and bread alongside a toaster. They offered real plates if you were eating in their little dining room as well as paper plates to bring up to your room. I was the nice sister and brought my brother up some breakfast.
