I am going on 70 years old and I am disabled I came to Lowe's to get some lumber. I needed about 12 2x4 studs but they will not fit in my Toyota Corolla so I asked if they could cut them down to the sizes I needed which would be 20 cuts their are like 6 male workers and the guy who is waiting on me said that he would have to ask the manager if he could she came over and said that he couldn't do it. That they would rather have them standing around doing nothing than let him cut them for me. I have been on their loyalty rewards for over 20 years. Lowe's is a much better organized store than the other big box DIY/hardware store with the orange color. I do go to the other store more often out of habit as they are really close to each other in Brenham. Since I mostly live in Houston where the closest Lowe's is an extra 15 min drive, I end up going orange. However, when I am in Brenham I do like to go to Lowe's as they often will have the item you need, for the same price, and easier to find. read more

Apparently in Brenham you have 2 choices for big box home stores. Home Depot, where if you go to the garden center you are likely to get swarmed by the hundreds of wasps everywhere. Or Lowes. Where nothing is priced or priced properly. Does the customer matter anymore? Nope. Do better. read more

We have always had good luck with them in the past. But now..... We purchased $10k worth of appliances after our house burned down. This was early March and delivery dates were set at March 19 and April 2. Guess what? March 19 comes and goes and no appliances. I call the logistics number and was told that the delivery was never "finalized " so we reset everything to be delivered on April 4. Guess what? For 10k, we received this on the truck today. A hose. One expensive hose. It should be a zero start. Sucked up three vacation days for no shows. read more

We got up early this morning 10/24/24...and headed to Lowe's in Brenham to pick up our supplies to start our remodel project. Planning to spend several thousand dollars there... We walked through the store, and I noted that they were having their morning employee meeting, so everybody was standing there listening to their coworker talk. I passed them by to meet my husband down in the lumber department. I saw him, but right as he turned down an aisle, I saw an employee place a do not enter on the aisle my husband had just walked down. So I stood there waiting for him to go all the way around to the next aisle, wanting to show him something on an end cap one aisle over. Another employee approached me at this time, and asked if I needed any help. I said no, I'm waiting for my husband that y'all just blocked off down that aisle, but thank you. He again said well I can help you find what you need, but I'll need you to move; because we are blocking these aisles off also. Again, I said I'm waiting for my husband. I want to show him something on this aisle. He stated they needed me to move anyways, so they could close the aisles to put merchandise away. I was furious. I hollered out loud to my husband. ..." Let's go to Home Depot, as these guys obviously could care less if we are trying to spend money here. They are blocking off the four aisles we need to buy product off of.They have continued to ask me to move, so they could block us out of this entire area." At that time, another employee heard me say that out loud to my husband, and came walking to me asking if he could open an aisle up. I told him that all of the aisles we have been on are open, but I'm being told to move so they can do their job and close the aisles. He said " oh ok ma'am have a good day". None of these employees had a freaking care in the world, that we were walking out of this store to go spend our money elsewhere!! It is infuriating to me. Why not stock your store when customers are not shopping in the store? Why choose to shut down aisles so many people are trying to shop on? We weren't the only ones being blocked out. It was 9 am! Was it THAT important that it couldn't wait, until we were loaded up and checking out???? I know these guys are hourly, and could care less. There's literally no incentive for them to care. They are just there to collect their check, but what happened to common courtesy??? This may not affect Lowe's bottom dollar, or their big executives up high... because we are just some couple doing a home remodel project... but you lost several thousand dollars this morning due to lack of training of your employees. Owning our own business, this is just crazy to me. You have customers trying to shop and spend money, but your employees are too busy trying to put up stock to let us buy what we need to do our remodel. I would be furious knowing our employees ran people off, just to hurry up and get their job done. DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE!!! read more

I waited for 5 minutes n the paint department for someone to show up. I went to customer service and they paged for help. Waited ten minutes and went back and they paged again. I decided to just buy what I had and go to Ace where you can always find help. Blu one self check out that accepted cash was open, with people waiting. I left my purchase on the counter and bought what I needed elsewhere. none of the staff were helpful or seemed to care at all. read more

Purchased gate. They told of me to go wait by gate. No on came. I called store after thirty minutes, they said someone was on their way. No one came. Went and asked for refund. They do not care if they are wasting your time. read more

This morning our 15 year old refrigerator quit working. We scrambled to keep everything cold. Meanwhile I took the pickup to Lowe's in Phillipsburg New Jersey and found exactly what we need. Barely fits the space, but exactly what we want. Problem is, Lowe's won't sell me the floor model. Its an understatement to say that its hard to find what you want with Covid these days. It's not like we decided to upgrade. No, we don't have a refrigerator. I even called Lowe's corporate office. Did it make a difference? Nope. Company policy. We've been regular customers of Lowe's for years. Always go there first. Between this and other poor customer service experiences, I am thinking I should switch to the Phillipsburg Home Depot as our go to place instead. read more

NEVER have I had to deal with such a rude staff. After FINALLY finding two associates in the appliance department, they offered NO ASSISTANCE WHATSOEVER! I found the manager and informed him of the issue. He never apologized but said someone had already told him of the duo's attitude. He DID attempt to help us but they no longer carry the filter on a refrigerator bought two years ago. WHAT????? He suggested we check elsewhere. Stay away. Go anywhere but here. The staff is rude, always has an attitude when you ask them a question, particularly the guy working the paint counter, he's VERY rude, and uneducated. He told me they didn't have a product when I asked about it, when I turned around and found it after searching every isle that had paint.... Good job picking you employees lowes! Maybe when your customer service (through your entire staff, not just front end) is revamped and trained, I may shop here again. read more

The Lowe's store in Brenham, TX has fallen below corporate standards in store presentation and service. In particular the tile department is poorly organized. Displays do not have correct information as to what bin to find the tile on display for purchase. Many lack prices. THis is not this one visit but all visits. Checking out at this LOwes is always unpleasant as the staff does not make eye contact with the customers and talks to co-workers while checking out customer. The check out girl today actually turned her back on me while checking me out so she could carry on conversation with her supervisor and another employee at the "Customer Service" desk about personal subject. She actually handed me the receipt with her back turned. A new "LOW" in service even at this store. Drive to a Houston location if you want to actually purchase anything from Lowe's read more

Zero stars was not an option. The customer service has gotten so bad lately that I don't want to go back there anymore. Went there to get siding for a job, pay for it,they had it in stock and scheduled delivery but they sold it before they could deliver it. Also special order soffit at the same time they call and said it was in. Went to get it they couldn't find it. After a hour and half waiting for them to find it I want walking through the store and found it for they in 2 minutes . Don't buy anything from them unless you can take it with you. read more
